This 1/60 scale YF-19 from Macross is looking rather coolsome indeed but also has a coolsome price at 23,940 yen. More pics at GA Graphic. While I'm on the subject, the original series of Macross is going ot air on TBS starting from the 3rd of October.
I had one of the first editions of this mecha. Very cool and very impressive except for one thing... The "neck" of the jet needs to clip off so that the cockpit and nose area can be pulled back to transform into Battleroid mode and it's not exactly sturdy... It would be worth the price if it didn't have that annoying niggle. Mine actually broke!! T_T
I have this and it's a wonderful toy, really captures Kawamori's design well. Now I need an updated YF-21 toy to go with it.
lol . i want both the yf-19 and 23 because they look kick ass and + look cooler in ACE3
both planes from Macross Plus are actual and real prototypes for F-16 jet fighters.
I would love love to get a hold of the YF-19 and YF-21, but at that price tag it's not gonna happen anytime soon. On the other hand I thing I will get Revoltech's valkyrie series.
