Anime Merchandising is big business and they are now trying to get Geass fans to buy Geass branded laptops. This NEC Lavie costs 120,000 yen and is exclusively available only from Biglobe - the company logo that you see plastered in the show. You can choose which color and character you want on it but not if there is a "X" on this chart. specs are AMD Turion(TM) 64 X2 TL-58 (1.90GHz) or AMD Sempron 3600＋[2GHz], 2GB Memory, 120GB HD with more specs here. Want or do not want?
Probably not, Code Geass is a good anime. But I prefer a plain looking computer, that's not etched onto the computer. Maybe this is how I felt after I saw eps 4 of Code Geass, >_> . But no, plain laptop is good enough.
Nice thing, but personaly i want different hardware inside and also another anime theme, something less focused on one show... rather like a collage of animes. I did look into materials to mod my laptop i got now but hell... i would go around 500 Euros to make a good mod for my laptop just for the mats. =( (sticky foil is somehow really expensive *sob*) Coloured laptops seem to be somewhat rare anyways, at least with the specs i want them with. Most of the laptops which have a nice colour like orange or pink or such are only toys hardware wise. This Geass one is maybe the first one i see with "decent or useable" hardware inside.
Hmm, maybe if it ran OS X and Apple was the manufacturer for it, I would get that. I'm pretty sure Windows is on this, and that's the last OS I would ever touch. I lost count how many years my house has been Microsoft free, but I'm lovin' it. Oh yeah, maybe if it had only Kallen and her Knightmare on a reddish case. It'd be insta-buy for me. Still don't get all the love for C.C......is it because she only eats pizza?
I think that's because she is one of the main characters. But mostly her popularity stems from how people in a particular time like her appearance. Besides, they only efficiently select a few character which people can remember the show with. For instance, I favored and kept my avatar of C.C. because it portrays me in someway. (except it is supposed to be a animated gif)
I would say I can remember the show with Kallen? I don't think what you said was it.
Kallen is a great character herself. I wouldn't want to see such character be degraded by some less-than-ideal product.

Most definitely want the etching and coloring but I don't like the specs at all. I would buy it, rip the insides out and build a laptop with my own parts into it. ^^ Could be a pain retro-fitting a laptop into the casing but it would be worth it.

It would be much more expensive then.... Alienware products are not really worth it for the specs you are getting... just for the brand's name and some aesthetically pleasing design

Looks nice, the hardware specs aren't impressive though but the price isn't too high either. Still, with the logo and character print being unicolor like that it's still discrete enough and not overly flashy. I'm currently working on an "Aria" anime theme styled computer (mostly just a custom cover/exterior). Still need to assemble the hardware but I'm looking at waiting for next generation mini itx boards out soon. Once it's complete I'll make some photos.

That is the cheapest looking laptop if I had ever seen one. Jeeze, talk about slapping an image and a logo onto a laptop. I mean, even the wow laptop looked better, and I hated that one too :/

Specs too low. >_< I'm afraid I won't even be able to watch 720p .mkv video files smoothly while opening Firefox (with lots of tab opened), with that kind of specs.

I will, but maybe only in the 396p .avi file type. Well, in the end, if I really need it, then I can always close the Firefox, that should help.
The little tablet(HP tx2000) I just got has better specs. for the same price in a glossy black/silver finish, with way more features. Yeah I don't want to have a laptop that say "WTF what are you?" to it. Only if it has special goodies that separates it from the pack of other laptops on the selves, like special features and preloaded software like the some episodes viewed from the Media Center. I think that extra cost is from the licensing instead. Also not to be a prime target of theft.
haha lulu is pink, so like his image. Even though I like geass I dont think i want to carry a geass notebook with me for like 2 years and have people point and laugh at someone who spent like a extra couple hundred to carry around a pink bishonen laptop.

DAMN I want one of those. Not much money either, I would have went and bought one immediately if they were available here. Importing laptops is quite mendo kusai, since I would need a swedish keyboard for it.
