Another of my personal favourites from 1/100 seed destiny line, the akatsuki gundam. I took this photo at an angle so it would reflect of akatsuki's plating, worked out well ^^

I guess that's the reason why Akatsuki actually costs more than a regular MG kit.

...Haven't watched enough Gundam to recognize them yet, but I really love the way the light is projected through (Destiny's?) translucent wings onto the wall.

I saw a picture of Akatsuki somewhere i the web where the guy actually strips the gold plating and respray it with gold color paint instead. Somehow that Akatsuki looks a lot better than the one with gold plating. But stripping the gold plating is kinda big hassle. Wish they sold the akatsuki without any gold plating on it.

is the 1/100 akatsuki kit just like the MG series? with inner frames and the armor are just snap ons?

Thanks for the comments! The flare is actually sunlight I didnt photoshop it ^^; Also the 1/100 Akatsuki is like a MG with no inner frame, only some parts around the shoulders and legs have internal detail.
