Before it used to be that you could only see a bunch of Itasha at shows like the Comike - now it looks like you can see them just parked at Akiba. Have you spotted any on your trips to Akiba? More pics from yesterday at Jabro and pics I took previously here.
WOW, that's one high quality image of Vita O_o, and shiny d>_<b
dang...that is nice
Vita looks more adult than usual... And is it me, or were the Itasha photos, like, 80% Nanoha(half of them were probably Vita), 19% Others and 1% Rei?
Sweet! I love looking at Itasha, yet it is something I'd never do on my car (if I ever get one)
OMG VITA!!!!!! So pwns!!!!! She is one of my fav characters!!! Would love to see that car!!!
Me 2!!! Vita is awesome!!!
Very nice. Didn't see itashas while I was in Japan... hope to see lots of them next time! :P
I wonder how much it cost the owner to have that done.
Or how much psychological pain he suffers, somehow I don't feel the term itasha fits the car because he is proud of it.
Vitaaa on the move~~ xD I love Vita too, and the unison white Vita also cool~
I wonder what kind of job that does that coz if i knew i would be working with pleasure.....of course, THAT WAS AWESOOOOME! cool! 2 thumbs ups!
This is what happens when you have anime otaku + car otakus?
Mmm... Can't wait till I can get a car like that.
Does anyone know where/how to get such jobs done? Are they decals or actually painted on? In February I tried to find some information through a racing league friend of mine in Tokyo, but he had no idea and couldn't find any info (he is not an anime fan)...
Vinyl Decals. Should be able to take an image to any outdoor advertising signage company or a company specializing in automotive vinyl decals and have it printed out. I'd call ahead first and see what they require for an image to work though.
But where to get the really good original images for these? Especially the "car" related ones, like the ones for the fuel tank. I don't think I can afford a big one for a while.
Yeah I did get to see an Itasha and the owner even posed to have his picture taken with it lol.
Didn't spot any at Akiba when I visited, but did see a few in a carpark at Nipponbashi, Osaka when I went there. Need to start saving up to get a car first before one can even itasha it lol.
I want Itasha....but in US.....no
I would love to have a Itoshi car, but living in Cali, I would be too scared to have it parked anywhere (My car might not be the same anymore if I take my eyes off of it). It's like driving a Lamborghini out in public.
Somewhere in this site's archive, I remember seeing this image of a creative Itasha (or something else since I think it's on a motorcycle) that puts the dolphin hole of the illustrated 2D girl right on top of the gasoline tank. I'd like to see the face of whoever gets the job to fill the tank of that motorcycle. ^^
I'm thinking of a Kanon itasha :3 found a place where they do custom vinyls. Moneyzzz
Danny, we want to see you with an itasha! We need moar Mirai!
Wow, older-looking Vita. I approve! :)
I want that paintjob for my ride ... would definitely attract attention around here :)
Me 2, I never saw an Itasha in Germany, not even in car-tuning-mags. My car is modified, but I have no clue where to get those decals, so i guess it´s enough to play the Motteke! Sailor Fuku Re-Mixes on my Rockford Soundsystem... and get weird looks from other peeps ;-)
Whoah, that Vita art looked incredible... kudos to the artist....
gotta say that's one nice pic of vita <3 . me wan( the pic ) .but not the itasha
Yup, see tons of them whenever I go to Akiba. I see that number of Itasha cars are more parked outside of shops like Tora no Ana during Comiket season but I do also see them regularly at Akiba.
I love anime but making an Itasha is to "ita" for me. XD
didn't see any itasha, but there were some itachari ^_^; err is that the right term? technically it was one motorcycle and one bicycle.
That is so awesome, but that'll never fly down here in San Antonio. That will be a rock magnet.
wow the quality is stunning... man i wish i had a car so i could do the same...
that's one sweet Vita vinyl ^^ if money permits and i have a car, imma gonna itasha'd it XDDD
Well doing an Itasha over in my country probably will end up attracting too much attention :D
Haha... might end up getting stolen too if you are not careful..
wow, really nice and good quality. I hope i have a chance to do it on my car.
id slap a kyonko on my car
something they dont mix...cool but since I'm also nuts on import cars this dosen't fit me but its enjoyable looking at some one elses~~~
