Simroid

Simroid
Once again Japan brings us the future - the last time they brought the future to us was with the Flip Hole.
This time its a robot produced by Kokoro to train dentists. Dentists are now able to feel a patients pain while they practice on this Simroid. I bet that ronery dentists do more than dental practice on these simroids when nobody is looking. Would you Bala bababa?

Agreed, they are not lifelike enough to not give anyone the creeps.
If I was training to be a dentist I would probably be very timid with the dental work because of how creepy they are.

This robot is a little scary. ^^

Just don't touch the chest as there's a sensor that would make the simroid slap the dentist.......

Ok seriously, the sensor is there but i think it only makes the simroid say something like "itai" or "yamete kudasai"

Well, I guess it's an attempt to humanize patient care training, and I guess I can relate to that.

It's how they'd be able to relate pain that really gets me wondering. I mean, did they find some sort of mathematical algorithm to simulate pain? XD

How soon do you think pleasure's going to be around the corner?

Can you stuff a dead fish on the robot's mouth to accurately simulate the worst part of being a dentist?
:P
No seriously... I'm not a dentist, but I have several on my family... and I heard the worst part is getting used to the foul stench that comes out of the patients' mouth.

And I'm not even saying of people who doesn't brush their teeth or anything like that... it's just the way it is, sadly.

I was wondering where the activation switch was... Probably similar to something like Chii? ^^;

But hell I'd freak out if the Simroid suddenly attacks you and grabs the periodontal probe and stabs you.

Now they just need to develop a kawaii/ero version of this and it would give the otakus a run of their money.
