Fuji-Q Highland

Fuji-Q highland has some of the fastest, tallest and longest roller coasters in the world. You may want to pay a vist when you are in Japan - they also have the Gundam Crisis attraction where you can see a 1/1 scale Gundam.
Check with the hotel that you are staying with as they usually have access info at the concierge.
I personally cant take roller coasters - usually leave me dizzy. BTW, The Japanese call these "Jet Coasters."

Great CM for Fuji-Q below.

LOL thats some good stuff. This will definitely be on my "places to go" list whilst in Japan. Although...I must say, no rollercoaster on the face of this earth can compare to the dragster at Cedar Point. Now thats one hell of a ride. Millennium force is good too.

o that reminds me of the time i was in japan and they had on the new about a roller coaster accident where some girl got her head smashed off because one of the wheels failed.

it was a bit "omg..." only one died others were just injured or traumatized.

I have ridden Dodonpa and Fujiyama.. I actually have a photo with me doing the peace sign right before the camera... it's hard for Fujiyama, not so hard for Dodonpa... but dodonpa is not that impressive, but it is fast...

no worries, I was scared out of my wits the first time... And to think, that my first roller coaster would be Fujiyama, I thought all other roller coasters afterwards were kiddy rides...

I was like you some years ago (maybe the fear of speed or sudden adrenaline rush or even the fright of accidents), then I went "Hiyaaaah, here goes nothing!!" and loved the sensation.
I'm generally hyper-cautious and careful in minimizing every risk in all of what I do; but since those attractions are safe, I have no worries... And if by the worst Death comes to take me at that time, well, there is no other way, it would just be a tad premature. ^^;

Don't worry, there's nothing to worry when riding a rollercoaster... Nothing like an accident in Final Destination 3 is gonna happen, don't worry...
So, gonna try it now?

I didn't want to watch the first video because of the Ganguro girl... Just kidding. Will give it a try later.
As for the second one, the guy is a bit sadistic... He talks a lot to the young lady so she is distracted and gets even more scared during the ride. ^^;
Well, this reminds me of the last time I went to Disneyland Paris (went twice in total) with my cousin. As soon as we entered the park, we went for the most "energetic" attractions and this in chain: Space Mountain, Indiana Jones backwards, Big Thunder Mountain, Star Tours, etc. and we suffered even more because we didn't eat till we ended extremely hungry. So fun!!

I don't really like roller coasters that much, but sometimes it's OK. I was on the Dragon Mountain roller coaster, which is the largest roller coaster in the world, and used to be the tallest though.

I've been. Awesome stuff.

When you get on the Dodonpa, you're in this dark tunnel lit by flashing rows of lights. I couldn't resist screaming "ガンダム、行きます!” (Gundam, Launching now!) before I got kicked in the guts by however many G's it is you experience when you're accelerated to 100km/h in 1 second. (Funny that they also have Gundam the Ride there.)

I also recommend the Eejanaika to thrill seekers. When I went last year, it was the world record holder for largest number of inversions. You seriously cannot tell which direction you are going in at any given point in time.

ah fujiku high land...i'll never forget

ohh the eejanaika... the stupid backwards climb and THE FREAKING FALSE DROP

guh.....my first official rollercoaster ride too. Why on earth did my first have to be the 'worlds most number of inversions' one?

i remember i couldn't stand properly after getting off that thing.
Several attendants had to help me ^^"

awesome fun nonetheless

Just picture yourself slowly climbing that $h1t while thinking "when is it gonna stop" or "I could be doing something else"... I mean, why put you through that?

Anyway, a lot of people likes that things, so have fun.
