Does it not make you want to be out there with Makoto-chan running around the grass? Only managed to catch a few episodes of Kanon. How does it compare to Clannad? Makoto in action below.
jeez...this just makes me more convinced to actually move my girly fingers and watch clannad and D.C. in and throughout. alot of my friends are pressuring me to watch it as well..but what the hecK, me personally, Ive watched a few episodes and got bored of it very quickly. I dont know whats the big hit or..fame behind both of these series..but this just drew the line, popped the cap off the bottle... I will watch it to the end..
as for Kanon, if I can endure clannad or D.C. till the end, then i'll give it a watch.
kanon is an easy watch, if you can get thru makotos arc its smooth sailing all the way.
Where can we find such nice scenery for figure reviews here in s'pore, sigh.
I also tried finding some good locations for my Makoto... no luck. Rather than a green city, I would prefer a flowery scenic city ^^.

Awesome photo. I need this figure now. I wish I could run with Makoto in the grass too. And, in my opinion Clannad is better than Kanon. Clannad got a better characterbase and the story is better, the message (family) is awesome too. But, we all know that Little Busters will crush them all.
For me it was the other way around, Clannad was good, allthough Kanon (and I mean the 2006 version of Kanon) was awesome. The storyline was just much better in my opinion. Now, Clannad wins with a horse length when it comes to "lol moments", however Kanon wins when it comes to ";__; moments". I think I got a tear in my eye atleast 5 times when watching Kanon, but just once while watching Clannad. Also, some of Clannad's storys (such as Fuko's) are almost identical to Kanons/Air's, which kind of disturbed me while watching... Overall, both are really good, but Kanon is one step better.
I do agree completely to your analysis... Maybe do I prefer Clannad over Kanon because I don't really enjoy shedding manly tears?

But there is comedy. Witnessing Yuuichi's antics are worth your time. Not as sad as Air, I promise.
Just expect more scenes like Fuko/Fuko's parents scene in Kanon. The comedy is still there though, just like in any other Key work :)

I like Makoto, she's a bit crazy sometimes but so cool and cute otherwise (hint: Akiko's jam... No not the doujin). Kanon and Clannad are somewhat different, but I won't tell why because it's tied to a heavy spoiler. Many girls in Kanon are attaching, but all of them are in Clannad and I do prefer Clannad over Kanon 2006 for some reason. ^^

I like Clannad about as much as I like Kanon 2006. Key & Kyoto Animation are a dream team. Air, Kanon, Clannad..for me all of them were one of the highlights during the weeks they were aired/subbed. I can't wait for the rest of Clannad and Clannad After Story...

I actually watched kannon.... couldn't really stand it but I finished it LOL cried at some episodes tho ^^; clannad haven't finish yet LOL~ but that is a goregous pix, I love those wild flowers :3

there are fields or at least little meadows in the Phils, I remember, that come close. have a little faith bro, you just gotta keep looking at the right places.

Ahnn Makoto-chan... one of the landmarks in tsundere-moe characters. Yes, this one is defnitely on my buying list.
Haven't watched clannad yet, but I loved Kanon. (I couldn't stand the first 6 or so episodes though, but I'm glad I stuck through with it.)
Kanon...well, I was surprised how good it really is.... worth watching,
