If you are looking for decently priced second hand games, doujinshi, figures, otaku collectibles and a little something to give your friends nightmares, then get yourself to the newly opened Mandarake complex in Akiba.
Akibaos went to see what they have and you can see more pics in their report.
If you are looking for second hand doujin, just make sure it has not been subject to bukkake.
And as for these dolls above - enough to give more than just nightmares.
Nice Densha Otoko type views from the roof of Mandarake below.

thats one pleasure I favor alot, more than others, is the skyscraper views and city street life. As for me, I wouldnt want to go to that store even if I resided there.

Rozen Maiden dolls they say? Those are not even close to the original material!
Freaky!!

I thought Rozen Maiden dools are meant to be kind of scary, made attractive in anime to boost popularity.

They sure have lots of game cartridges!
I really like second hand stores, theres one in my area which sells CDs, DVDs, LPs, shirts, comics, Hi-Fi stuff games and more.. everything at a decent price. It definitely is my favorite shop ^^

i sometimes being motivated want to buy one too!If it isn't because of the price..(the price is more scary than the doll to me!)

I guess it's because of their bald heads. I don't think that they're creepy as well

thank you.
I have a few of these dolls, and it's really sad when people are so . . . insensitive.
They are not everyones taste obviously, but bashing them is horrible. (;_;)

I was making the comment in reply to the statement to not call the 'creepy'
so it wasn't directed towards you ^^;

I agree! I don't own any BJDs but to just call them "creepy", it's just unfair. The workmanship that goes into making these dolls don't deserve to them being called "creepy"!

if the 4 blad and naked dolls isn't creepy enough, i see a baby version on the extreme right. now that's creepy. O_O
but then again, they might look creepy now in all thier bareness, but with some dressing up and a wig they will look nice. (though i still prefer a candy girl)

Aren't the two dolls on the left Suiseiseki and Souseiseki? I guess you gotta put on the hair and clothes first for it to be less creepy... But I don't mind getting one of the Rouzen Maiden girls

All they need is nice silky hair, nice outfit, out wear etc.
Look pretty nice if you dress them up uniquely or have them cosplay.
omg.. they look cool... better then the first ever ActionMan dolls? wait, its better than Barbie right?
That video of the construction site so reminds me of the battles taken place underground in Air Gear.

At least the video gives a rough idea of where the new Mandarake is -the previous Akiba branch was hidden further back on that side of the main street (even that didn't open until quite recently). The view of the secret NERV base they're building is interesting as well.

When the dolls are dressed you could mistake them for a little kid and even try to talk to them before realizing they're dolls. I would know; it happened to me before.

I always find it amazing how they can have so much stuff like that. :)
There always seems to be about 50 games to every 1 game made outside of Japan.

Yay, I love Super Dollfies! I own a FCS MSD myself that I adore... they do always look slightly unnerving without the wigs and clothing though I will admit. ^^;
I'm definitely going to have to check that place out sometime though!
