Welcome to the NHK

Welcome to the NHK
So we've taken a look at many otaku rooms up until now but how about this one - heaven or hell?
And if you have not seen it yet, I thoroughly recommend Welcome to the NHK - an anime show about a guy who has a room exactly like this.

Haha! I'm definetly going to watch Welcome to the NHK.

The room seems to be both, it looks as though the room would smell bad and I would step on a rat or something... But I can see it as heaven for Otakus too.

Welcome to the NHK is probably one of the best slice of life anime series out there..

...and as for that room, it still doesnt compare to satou's ^^
but its a close comparison haha

I say, burn the whole thing down. If only the room was inside a steel box, then you could incinerate the entire room and start over.

Lol, if I were your neighbor you'd hear trance between 3-7 pm. I'm kind though so I don't do it often.

Anyways ya that brings back memories when I began (and unfortunately finished the series :( ). Glad I still got the full tune.

I've been to someone's house who had it worse. There were weird liquids (not body fluid types) and cockroaches everywhere (and I do mean everywhere). This place is about 10 minutes bike ride and damn everything about this place is messy and run down that I was going what the hell.

Sorry I don't have a picture but damn just imagine as if its been lazily cleaned up as if it was a garbage dump off site. Whats left would be cleaning up the walls, the floor, the books, the walls, the ceiling, and to remove any liquids found in the kitchen area. To top it off three people sleep in it.

maybe we both know the same person?? probably not. i also went to someone's house to find the same thing, roaches everywhere, floor to ceiling. open food containers. i'd never been to this person's place, and i'll never go back. twas a scary scary place. funny thing was, the person who owned the place seemed too oblivious to notice the hundreds of roaches, even some on the couch he was sitting on.

Yamakasi (if you change the next to last letter are those... Btw, just knowing about the movie and activity these folks do make me want to yawn like never before -simple opinion-)

Heaven is just personal preferences.
But when all different worlds/views collide together in the same universe, try taking dominance over the other, that creates hell.

It's going to feel like hell when this is my room you're commenting...

Welcome to the NHK was great until a certain point, with an arc that kinda belongs nowhere. I'm not dissuading you all from watching it, it's just a friendly word of caution. Almost dropped it completely when I had watched 3/4 of it. ^^;

Honestly though, I know someone who's room (Which was an entire basement) was 10x worse than that.

I think being an otaku is fine as long as you're self sufficient about it (Which this person is clearly not).

Though I suppose that would just make you a social recluse.

Awful room... I've seen rooms pretty close to that though. From some university friends.

I couldn't stand living like that.
Ok, I'm not a very organized guy... I do throw stuff around, have lots of books, papers and other stuff laying around... but no garbage (organic) and no used clothing. This is a bit too much for me.

Satou's room wasn't that bad, was it? I mean, sometimes it was, but not the whole time.

And my final own comment for this post: Satou and Zetsubou Sensei (aka Pink Supervisor) would have made the best Tag Team ever! ^^

I like the room, but it makes me want to "organize" it.
