AkibaHobby has more pics of this Kureha Figure by Kotobukiya that is due out this month. Turned out much cuter than I expected. I read many of your previous comments about Shining Wind saying that its crap. I have not seen it yet but is it really that bad?
there's something missing from the face, i can't put my finger on what.
Something seems off with her nose.
Her nose is too long and her lips are somehow dark.
Shining Wind was crap. Story was crap. Animation was OK. Dumb ending. T2 girls weren't enough to keep this show from going down the path of mediocrity. Still finished it though and got a Max Factory Kureha.

Tis very cute... and sorry for saying this, but I kinda like Kotobukiya's Kureha better than the Max Factory one. It's a little bit more... alive? Active? Dynamic? Can't find the words here, but you know what I mean.
while this one is cute as well, i already have the max factory version, so i think i'll stick with that one.
Never watch Shining Wind, might watch it someday since the characters are cute. =D
i dropped this figure from my list because of its eye's unusual shape. thats the only part that is so visible making the whole figure look so weird.
her body is nice but I think her face lack expression? (maybe that's how her character supposed to be like? or not?)

the pose is dynamic as expected from kotobukiya but there's something at a miss...maybe its the colors
The anime had a bad story. Only thing good was proablly the costume design. I laugh so hard when the gut pulled the sword out of the other guy and he was moaning like a queer. LOL it made the anime look gay.
Is their a different price for a figure that comes with a nose?
Max Factory version has the "Tony Takaesque" face this one has not. Also MF's is the 3D replica of one of Kureha's original Tony's artwork.

Danny, she already is out here in Singapore. Not too sure about other places. Also Shining Tears and Wind were both simplistic games, and Shining Tears X Wind was simply the same story as Wind, just seen from Souma's perspective. So yeah, the anime was crap (even more disappointing after you played the game). T2 girls are hawt though.
The way her clothes are made, she should really invest in an archer's breastplate or something.... not that I mind the current look.
yes the anime is bad. I only watched first 4 episodes and skip the rest to last one and still understand the story. haha the story is too simple that you can easily guess.

I watched Shining Wind and it's really not that bad. It has some good points and the story is not that long and quite good. The characters returning from Shining Tears are almost identical in their behavior and it's quite nice. Thought it's really strange that in the anime they never mention Pios, the guy with the glasses in Shining Tears...
I didn't quite like Shining Wind, though Kureha is cute. Too many figures announced already, companies are making my wallet scream.
gosh i am in a dilemma, i already have kureha from max factory.. i then thought this from kotobukiya was cute and wanted to get this as well... then danny came and intro kureha with her sitting position by beagle http://www.dannychoo.com/images/photo/blogg_thumbs/14318.jpg so i am not wondering if i should get beagle's or koto's?? @danny do you know when beagle's might be released??
I must be biased, but I love my Max Factory Kureha a lot more

Indeed, the ST was very bad animated. I think the previous are better especially the OVA
Enjoyed Shining TearsXWind only because Kureha was in the cast (and the rest of the female characters as well, except Seena and Hiruda... Heavy bias, I know ^^)... The rest of them was meh... Characters were too much on the Manichean side (Too evil or too kind) and the plot was worth a good snooze. ^^^;
I was a fan of Kureha before watching Shining Wind,.. however I became more interested in Elwing after that. Kureha's character wasn't given much attention in Shining Wing IMO,.. more like a side character :P I think i'll keep my $$$ for Elwing.
Don't like the pose of the figure, doesn't look like she's doing anything...she's not quite posing, she's not doing anything with the bow, just standing there kind of awkward. Shining Wind was crap, yes. Cute figure, very strange pose.
I like this version much better than MF. I hope to have my Kureha in a couple of weeks if the release date is ON for the domestic that is :)
I got this figurine 2 weeks ago and I must say I prefer this over the other one.
She was suppose to be here end of last month, but it's Koto... so maybe will never see a US release.
Shining Tears x Wind is crap. I downloaded the whole series, watched the 1st episode, then deleted it all. waste of hard disk space, if you ask me. meh! X(
