This is by far one of the best I've seen for this year. I really dig the amount of effort put into this. I don't know how many times, I've repeatedly played it.
Based on Wii's version. (aka madness & blasphemy in regards to the original Link). ^^
It's a fake because at 85% of the trailer u can see Danny in trooper disguise behind Link. the movie has been posted tuesday, 1st april

i'm pretty sure it's fake, because at the end it said rainfall films, and i got this. "Rainfall Films produces work in the areas of features, short films, music videos, commercials and new media." doesn't say they make movies so, yeah...
"Features" is also another term for movies. Like when you go to the movie theatre, ever notice. "Now for our Feature Presentation". I find it hard to believe anyone would put this amount of money into this for it to be "Fake". The production value is clearly something professional, and looks like a lot of time and money was put into this.

They seem to be look a tad bit more mature than their game character counterparts. I don't mean to be rude but, Link looks like a mixture or Ben Stiller's eyes (optical organs), TAFKAP's and Micheal Jackson's facial features.
And yes, Zelda is the Princess... You made the most basic mistake and I overlooked it. XD

Zelda Ocarina of Time is considered the best game of all time by many sites, magazines, polls, reviewers, forums etc It hurts me when I hear people haven't played it ;_; Link to the Past is awesome too T_T... I have to play again now
I prefer Zelda Twilight Princess over Ocarina of Time, of course mine and the opinions of those reviews/people, are just that OPINIONS. Zelda is terrific though. However, it's starting to get stale now due to the constant use of the same thing over and over.
That's what made Ocarina of Time a great game for me, it got a winning formula and just made it better. Simply jaw dropping at that time. Twilight Princess unfortunately didn't bring much originality to the table. Still a very good game but not that memorable (except for maybe Link X Midna XD, cute couple >.<)
There isn't much originality at all anymore, the story is really whats left for the franchise, there are always the same temples, the same weapons, etc
I think the trailer looked a bit corny, and the effects are like low-budget b-movie. You could really see in the beginning that the background of that world was a box when the camera turned. Zelda movie should be big budget, made by Peter Jackson or something ^^ And it should follow a storyline from one of the games like Ocarina of Time of Legend to the Past, that would be awesome ;p But this was a bit lame, it was a really bad choice for Link...
Gah, I love the zelda games but a movie? A good joke, thank god. The games are one of the best advanture ones on this earth.
god, though it's obviously an April Fools' joke, it has really awful "sci-fi channel" production values. If I was IGN, I would've done something in CG. Though with the way that game-to-silver-screen translations usually work, it'd prolly end up looking like that. Haha, and the first faithful thing I noticed was that Link was definitely androgynous.
I really have to mark down April the First next year; I keep getting '[]' in surprise. Staying at home for too long has made me forget how to read a calendar.

Oh please... I swear on the all-powerful Drill that pierces the Heavens it would be a all-round failure. This was not the first time Nintendo would screw up... Why on Makai (gotta be inventive in the terms) did they accept the Super Mario Bros. movie without looking at the cursed script, SFX team and cast beforehand? This not only is a (bad tasting) joke, but even if it was proven to be true, I'd never watch it, even if I was forced to. Mario Bros., Double Dragon and Street Fighter II scarred me much already. Mortal Kombat was more entertaining though. So ummm... Do not want.

I saw this on X-Play today, and its definitely an April Fool's prank. So... they lied. ... and I feel safe again.
Ppl, this isn't an aprils fool thingy, its actually TRUE http://www.rainfallfilms.com/ and... an independent film company shouldn't be wasting money on tricks and treats. This is the real deal. About the quality and stuff... well... they're INDEPENDENT and I actually admire what they can pull of with such a budget (independent budget is FAR low than your average Holys*it production)
I'm not quite sure why some people are CALLING THE BOY ZELDA! The princess' name is Zelda and the guy in green's name is Link.
If they called it the Legend of Link, then maybe that would have made more sense.

Well of course its a fake. Who would make a trailer, let alone a movie, without the greatest character ever, Tingle? Making a Legend of Zelda movie with no Tingle is like make a Lord of the Rings movie and not having Tom Bombadil.
Tingle is more like Gollum if you ask me. ^^

Interestingly, fans are usually against these movies. Be it the Live Action Evangelion movie or the Dragon Ball movie, the people that would most likely watch it, their core market, actually refuses to acknowledge it existence. So these movies are aimed at those who didn't watch the original because it was a cartoon/videogame. I predict failure. Actually I think it is a late April's Fools prank...
