News all over the animesphere is that Hayate no Gotoku, Kodomo no Jikan and Clannad are getting a second season. I still need to finish the first season for these shows ToT. Am I the only one who never manages to finish all episodes of a particular show? Image via Alafista.
I read that bout Hayate no Gotoku too. I did enjoy the first season of it so far a lot and one more Episode then it's over - well the first season. CLANNAD was enjoyable... though it did make me cry a few times... the movie did it very hard to me. Will be hard to imgine what kind of storyline the second season would be like... if they don't have a set of new characters, but is it then still Clannad? Hrmmm... that one actually makes me look forward to the news of the next months.
Well, the story in CLANNAD is really long, the 1st season covers only the events during their school life (mainly the drama club). The 2ns season (AfterStory) continues on to their life in society, and is actually where the meat of the story really is. Be prepared for an "AIR" type on ending though, you know what Key is capable of >_<
Ah! Well i didn't play the games or such... i jus got to know CLANNAD truh the TV Episodes and the Movie. Sounds like i should stock up on tissues sometime then. Thanks for the information. :)
Awww man, I'm a guy and CLANNAD makes me well up inside sometimes! Maybe I wont watch the second season, I like the current ending... :/
I do thorough research before watch a series, not enough to spoil the plot mind you. I enjoyed Clannad very much. I felt kinda dirty watching kodomo no jikan, and I've never heard of Hayate no Gotoku, but I'll take a look now to see if its anygood :) Can't wait for Clannad Second Season!
well i've been following hayate quite closely and i have to say, its not your average anime... in a nutshell its an anime based on a lot of parodiesof other animes and shows, and even popular events of the current time... my advise when watching hayate is always keep your eyes, ears and imagination wide open cuz if you don't, you'll surely miss the joke...

wow, I was anticipating the 2nd season of Hayate no Gotoku and Clannad. I already know for a while now that Clannad is getting it's 2nd season. Still not sure about watching Kodomo no Jikan...to much of an 'action' to me...
I used to have tons of backlog. Now I'm able to speed up my anime watching by watching them on my ipod touch while I travel.

Clannad After Story is pretty depressing
I hardly ever finish any series anymore. I'm much more likely to finish a series of manga because I can "pause" it whenever I want. There are way too many series and a lot (like Keroro and Gintama to name but two) that I like seem to be endless. Then again, there are series like Shana and Zero no Tsukaima that are 24 and 12 or 13 episodes respectively. I can handle a 24 episode season (even though I haven't begun watching Shana II yet). I read the first tankobon of Hayate and I was underwhelmed.
I always watch every episode of the anime I'm really keen on even if it means spending less time on other hobbies. But there are also a lot of shows I'm interested in but never managed to finish watching, such as the first TV series of Kanon (from 2002) or the last few episodes of Mushishi. That said, I can't wait for the new seasons of HnG!, Clannad and Code Geass. Though I was never interested in KnJ.
looking forward to new season of CLANNAD. i just finished watching episode 23. i never laughed so hard since the fuko and kotomi's arc. ^^;

Another set of ~50 episodes of hayate?! Sweet! ... Clannad is going to leave me unsatisfied. (I have yet to watch the last episode, but i'm sure of this.) So glad a second season's coming.

I like closure...so I try to finish series I like. However, it's important to note that, it doesn't matter how long it actually takes. For example...G Gundam, I started watching that like 5 years ago...think I have like 2 more volumes of DVD to watch. While I will admit that it's not on my priority list...I do however intend to finish it eventually.
And I haven't even watched Hayate first season. >_< Mostly because Kugimiya Rie isn't matched with Hino Satoshi in Hayate. ^^

I'm with you about not finishing these shows... I only watched Gundam OO from start to finish and couldn't watch other shows that are far too long.

Hayate is awesome!!! Though in the anime it said they were up to the "fourth" season already. I guess they counted by 13 episode seasons. Well people have different tastes but Hayate is my favourite anime for last year after the KyoAni ones
Gundam 00 season 1 just ended yesterday. Season 2 starts on October. Looooong wait........hmph!
there is promo clip for clannad after story at youtube. saw it earlier today and though it was a game or an OVA promo but didnt expect it to be a sequel. gundam 00 came out with its last episode and thanks to code geass S2, we have to wait to watch 00's sequel in the future.
Clannad = epic, Hayate = meh and Kodomo = epic. Hopefully, the after story (clannad) will be serious, like the game. I would love to see a Tomoyo after ~ it's a wonderful life though. Hayate, don't really care as I tired after 20 episodes. Maybe gonna finish it anyway, and Kodomo is just win.

Sweet, I cannot wait for the new Kodomo season, the first one ended with a retarded punchline compared to manga. As for Clannad, after reading After Story, I don't think that I would like to watch the same thing as anime... Hayate doesn't float my boat at all, so I'll skip it.
