There were a load of anime schools at the Tokyo Anime Fair promoting their courses and handing out brochures.
For those who dont know, you can take courses to learn all about anime production which includes how all the cells are put together and created, the voice recording process etc etc.
One of the most popular schools is the Yoyogi Anime Gakuin.
Are there any of you who wish to make a career in the animation industry?

Could only find this clip of some of the students at Yoyogi Anime Gakuin being interviewed.

Seems very great in theory, but surely very straining and not that dreamy when you're in...
A bit like for videogaming creation-teaching schools

That is why I'm becoming a game designer, is not that i dont like play games but i prefer to make games

hmm thats what i'm going to do.. but more computer stuff.. can't draw worth a darn.. but my computer stuff is good.. you jst have to love drawing.. or in my case building things in the computer.. even anime is going 3d with toon shading.. gundam and ghost in the shell with the tachicomas is a good example.. new star wars clone wars cartoon is all 3d computer animation.. so there's still a place for drawing but computers are use for coloring etc.. and yes.. animation drawing is tedious.. but if you love it.. its all good

seems like they wont told the ugly side of working in an anime studio..or even being a seiyuu..

@ axronsam: Google 77star
The rest: the inside of the anime industry (prod of it) is a little screwed up...it isnt what u think as a 9 to 5 job, relaxing, doing ur drawings etc...it hell isn't.

Firstly, I can't draw for nuts. Secondly, I'll go nuts drawing the same picture with minor changes multiple times over. This job just isn't made for me sadly. I rather just enjoy watching it ^^.

I'm going to do an animation course at Uni. One thinks that "anime has been done to death" and the other "likes good anime" which is good, cos not many course leader people have looked upon anime fondly... But I'm gonna get it past them no matter what lol. It will be disguised if need be hehehe.

Anime school!!! Oh I so wish.....

Well... I have this little crazy dream of contracting a manga illustrator(drawings and such) and make my own manga, me and the creator.

Look at the guy who made Dragon Ball/DBZ, he's famous around the world! And the guy who made Naruto got rejected many times but look at him now...

As much as I love anime, I'd like to stay as a fan. I went from loving games to being in the game industry and it changed my appreciation for them a little, so I'd like to keep my appreciation of animes the same :)

In the past, i used to draw like this, copying their style to improve my artwork...

until i grew bored of drawing & focused on something else instead.

I'd prefer to do manga or illustration as a hobby, instead. Too much competition in that field.

Good luck for those who focus & dedicate their lives to create manga & anime. Things are tough, but your passion & drive to create what you love will pull you through.

hmm well I am studying in a course in my polytech doing 3D animation.I was able to go to the Yoyogi Animation School for a study trip in Japan recently... though from what they say, the old cell drawings are already outdated and their using more digital means to get the finished products for anime.
