i've heard about Birdy the Mighty before and i think it was an OVA... afaik, it is about a high school guy who was killed after an incident and was resurrected by discarding his body and merging with an Interplanetary Federation agent called Birdy Cephon Altera. He is stuck sharing a body with a rather attractive, yet very strong but impulsive, space police agent. in short, the guy transforms into a beautiful girl to fight against a secretive evil alien group
afaik you're very adept at reading Wikipedia. All the same I hadn't heard of the OVA until I heard about the 13 ep series earlier in the month. I'm making a point of watching the OVA now.

Birdy the Mighty came out rather long time ago as one vol. manga and also OVA series was made for it. And then few years later, manga started fresh and it's popular now and running more than 15 vol. now and made into TV anime.

Nice! That clip of the old birdy the mighty looked great. Really fluid and expressive. I miss fluid animation in modern anime. You dont see it that often these days.

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes *Doing my happy dance* I have been waiting for this series for the longest time. Pretty much ever since I saw the OAV years back. It's a good 4 ep OVA with the start of what seems to be the main storyline. However, it only wraps up that particular small arc leaving the main storyline hanging. Still an excellent series and highly recommended in my book
"Girl in jump suit with pink hair running about?" if that's your idea of a jump suit, i want to know what you think a bikini is...lol i miss this show, if i remember correctly, this was from a decade ago when production values were still good and people didn't rely heavily on cg. good to know they're making another one
Agree I don't like anime that relies too much on computer animation such as naruto...sorry I don't like naruto

Overlooking the blatantly displayed fanservice, that's some mighty fine CQB there. But the main character's face for the new series bears a resemblance to some male character... Well, i order to prevent offending anyone I'll keep shut the space-time rift on my face.

This was one of the first series I watched almost 10 years ago. I still have it on VHS. I put it in the VCR after reading this, and well it definitely is just not the same.
no matter what anime it is , as long as it comes out from japan i'll watch it 1st... then i'll rate it after i've watched...

woot! Birdy the Mighty! I use to watch this on Action Channel 532 way back when. I believe that I haven't finish this one, but that clip you showed Danny is hilarios. I remember that clip well. Haha.

This is great! I have the OVA and I'm really looking forward to this. It's a shame that the quality of artwork seen thus far doesn't really do the original justice, but that tends to happen when there is a such a long break between the resurfacing of a series. They could have at least got her hair right. >:o
