I tend to control myself since I'm poor college student. *sigh* I usually just pick up a coin series figure.

Agreed. To add to that, capsule figures are about the only things that'll fit in my room these days... ^_^;

Oh yes... I concur.... I spent over £250 in London on figures alone...

But it's only due to reading/watching Genshiken that my Otaku dream has to own lotsa figures and crowd my room with them.

Where did you get figures in London?
I'm going to be there next month, so it would be kind of nice to know where Otaku shops are :3

Well Shunya-san's work always looks awesome. But the paintwork on the armour in the pic at the top looks a tad shoddy... Just in some places. I probably wouldn't mind long run, seeing as thats a close up. I wouldn't buy it anyways. Not my bag baby.

An elf? I don't see any pointy ears...
This figure is awesome in terms of face and pose, but like Meimi said, the armor painting is far from satisfying.
If I were to buy a figure of a female archer, I'd go for Kureha (the more famous version of the two).

As gorgeous as all the Shunya Yamashita designs are, this one doesn't really do it for me. It's the pose more than anything - it looks awkward and unnatural.

Guess that a string would have proven too fragile, unless it was given separately (and that you'd have to attach it yourself).
Or is it a magic bow?

i choose to believe it's a magic bow. one that shoots invisible magic arrows that will deal great damage to one's wallet. ('~')

I don't spend alot, only because I don't have alot.

Problem is, what I do spend it on is fairly expensive.
