"A 35-year-old woman who apparently spent two years in her boyfriend's bathroom in Ness City had become stuck to the toilet seat, authorities said Wednesday."
"She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body. It is hard to imagine. ... I still have a hard time imagining it myself," Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said in a telephone interview, adding that it appeared her body fat had grown attached to the seat.

I guess sticking to "sitting" position could be a bad idea. "Squatting" position can reduce your chances of being stuck onto the toilet seat.

yea, it really surprised me, saw this in the local newspaper 2 weeks ago...
i understand that toilet is a really nice place to be, seriously i like to hang in the toilet to read comics and do my revision while making cakes on the toilet...
but i can imagine how she can spend years in it, well i am glad she finally got out...and the worst thing is her bf got prosecuted for leaving her in toilet...

ah yes this was in the news for a while last week. Apparently the woman was not all there to begin with and her boyfriend said that he would ask her everyday if she wanted to come out but she didn't.
He's been charged with a few things from what I remember.
I haven't heard anything lately about how she's doing but I'm going to assume that she'll lose her legs as a result.

I've hid in the bathroom or bedroom whenever my lady's relatives decide to surprise visit us and I'm not in the mood for visitors. But for 2 years? Think about it, she spent all of the big holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) on the crapper. Even her birthday! Read it on newspaper last week. Can't remember the details, but there was no mention of her being obese. She was reported to be very weak, especially her legs (as she hasn't used them for a very long time), but she could still walk before being taken onto the ambulance.

If you read One Piece manga, there is a similar story where this guy gets stuck in a treasure chest and his body gets fit inside it and he can't get out of it. This news is far more disturbing though... But obesity is a big concern in USA these days. I guess people in USA just eat too much fatty food.
