Q: How does one make a tour around town more interesting? A: My placing figures here and there and taking photos like how member melonpan does. The potemayo tour here and the Tsuruya-san tour here. Hmm. Mikuru looks like quite a leaner. I probably should try the same thing in Tokyo and see what happens. Anybody up for doing it in your region?
Haha. It'd definitely be interesting to see people's reactions as you're doing this. I dunno if I'd be willing to do this around my area or anywhere really. Props though to ppl who would do this.
i also wouldn't do it here, but my brother did take pictures of his PVC monkey doll that he had when he went to japan, i'll try and find them later. Probably will send them to danny because i don't have a blog, nor is interested.
All female casts of Haruhi ensemble!!! I don't think I can do that in my area, not that many good places around here -_-
no one here has done figure photo sessions outside but maybe i could try it out sometime ^^ how 'bout shooping the figures, making them lifesize and blending it with the background ^____^
thought of doing this as well, but dont have to guts to do it alone.. always worried that some kid in the park might come around and pwnned my witchblade or claymore or haruhi... i just cant bear to think of the consequences
taking pictures of half naked figures on the streets? that'll definitely attract attention. ('~')
better not attract the "wrong" attention... wouldn't want to be stopped and questioned by the "boys in blue"...
Are those Haruhi girls all Max Factory's? Damn...want >.<
Oh, sweet. I want to see more. ^^; It's so more fun to take photos of your figures outside.
All of my photos are taken outside on the balcony of my house, when people pass by they stand down at the street looking at what I'm doing XD. I'm thinking of taking a couple figures to a park for a photoshoot probably a Gundam as well since that natural park looks like a jungle :P
Hmm, cool idea but my area sucks for that. I would have to go deeper into the City for some interesting places. Though two problems: 1. You have to many idiots around here which don't understand it and prolly even go so far to steal the figures while your on distance to take a picture, or even just smash em on their skateboards. (I have seen stuff alike happening *sigh*) 2. I only have one figure... lol :/ But i love to take photos, so i really like the idea. Maybe sometime when i have some figures, if i go for some (I like those lucky star ones, cute. ^^)
True. Though, the "retard-/sane person" ratio isn't all that bad where I live. I also don't carry around my figurines too much as I don't want to damage/break them unintentionally.
1. is so true unfortunately. Couldn't take my only figure out without any problems, there are just too many idiots running around and they got nothing better to do than getting on your nerves.
lol the risk is too high for me :p Someone might snatch my figures away if I did that XD
I don't know why the Tsuruya-chan figures weren't as popular. I think its my penchant for green haired gals lol.
nice idea , i always want to do that but it'S is really dangerous to do that in my country there is a chance someone will grab your camera... or maybe my figure <--- he/she must be an otaku LOL Anyway i'm a little shocked when ssee the Max Factory Mikuru bending?? mine didn't that's make ame kind of worry...
well, me and fellow pal (valho & lilkev) once did it in KLCC park. We got chased away by the security guard LOL
I want to do the same here in Paris with my figurines, but I need more time ^^
I'd like to see that!
Mikuru's big eyes are the reason for her leaning. Have thought of doing photoshoots in the city area but they are mostly near the entrances of office buildings which might not be allowed.
damm mikuru doin the gangsta lean. And yes taking photos of figures outside has come into mind once or twice, but because of where i live, there is a 200% chance something will happen to my figures, resulting in me hiding in corner and crying like little girl.
It's interesting to see the reaction of others indeed ^^ Btw, what kind of musical instrument is that?
Finaly some love for Tsuruyasan .....Yessss!!! Europe seem exiting...want to visit there....someday
Hm... Exia chasing after a bus?
yey! more pix of figures out and about! :P
Interesting...
I have taken a Gouf around Europe a few times my wife thinks it's the funniest thing that I took pictures of Gundams in Italy.
Wahaha, good idea! I have couple friends like to do that too! They will put their hello kitty or other dolls around to take picture when they're on tour or camping. XD
That would be interesting. Maybe I should try it around Toronto or when I go to Japan...
I'd do that, but to be sincere, I'd be kinda afraid to hurt my little figures... T_T Specially if I had the whole SOSdan... 3 of those which are on my priority list. Great idea though! Specially the potemayo one. XD
I could probably be able to do a figure tour around my area. I'd get odd looks, but as long as I avoid slums, I think everything'd be okay.
It something I wouldn't mind doing in my town. But I see only 3 problem from doing it, 1) Not sure we have many interesting place to take picture, a few sure, but not a lot, 2) No camera(althought I could alway borrow one from my father lol) and 3)I would have no place to host them. XD
I'd never do it alone, I would appoint a trusted accomplice with the title of "figure guardian"... Too much risk involved, yes?
yayyyyy Haruhi!!! COOL!
you might see me doing a figures photoshoot in the police station instead
omg check out all those figures. >< one whole collection. *jealous*
yuki's wizard hat is missing? blown away by the wind maybe? ('~')
I really enjoyed the Potemayo tour. XD
Looks good interesting way to shoot the figures but I will not dare to do it.
way cool! *thumbs up* haha searches for *courage*
