I read some where there are actually a lot different type of ganguro, they are categorized by skin(tan) color, fashion style and music I think. I agree, the hardcore ones are freaky, but some of the lighter tand ones are pretty hot

Like some said.. I have nothing against "lighter" versions... I think the main problem with hardcore ganguro girls is that they look too artificial. Particularly, I have nothing against a tanned skin... but tanned skin up to a point where the color seems unnatural with that silver-ish make up doesn't look quite right. Personal opinion though. I don't even like too much make-up...
I'll pass. Definitely not my type.

I've seen some Ganguro Girl's that I thought were very attractive but many just repulse me. However Yamamba girls are just plain ugly. They take a fashion trend to such an extreme that they scare small children. The sad thing is that many of these girls would be VERY attractive if they just did things normally or went with a vastly scaled back Ganguro style. If done in moderation, Ganguro can look really really good.

Ganguros can be ugly, but also EXTREMELY pretty (as some the girls in the Youtube video posted), generally speaking if the the girl is ugly and wears WAY too much make up - its not a good thing! On the other hand if she is wearing mild dark make up and is really pretty - obviously the result is actually a pleasure.
