Mecha Sizes

LOL at the size of Psycho Gundam compared to some of the even bigger ones.
You may need to go to Byonavi to check out a bigger version of this pic. Psycho Gundam really only 40 meters tall?

If you could pilot one of these - what would you choose and why?

Same here. Macross mecha is the most versatile. Can funtion on Earth and in space. Also can transform into 3 different forms. With fold generator, ha, no space is safe from Myn Mei's music...^_^

TTGL is the size of half (more?) the fukken' universe. It's too awesome to be inserted into such pathetic graph like this.

I'll stick to Zeta Gundam.

Well if you believe it could go into real space and not just anti-spiral space then yes it is the largest. If not Getter Emperor is the biggest.

well, TTGL is depicted as being bigger than some Galaxies so that would make it considerably larger than getter emperor. But there was a lot of wierdness going on in the last ep so it may not actually be *that* big.

But assuming it is, the largest mecha list goes TTGL, with Getter emperor trailing far behind (can fit the earth on the palm of his hand), then Nono from Diebuster (slightly larger than earth), Then probably ChouGinga Gurren Lagann (about the size of the moon). After that, were down to "normal" size such as Gunbuster and Daitarn 3

Still, lack of the Nirvash makes that picture fail.

Hmm... Even if some of those mecha seem awfully tiny (wonder what mecha is the yellow speck around the lower-left corner), humans would be nothing more than a dot on this image.
I just laugh thinking how humans would try to damage them directly... No wonder why the infantry (ie in Gundam) -and this on either side- always gets reduced to bits each time a mecha wrecks havoc. ^^;

Eh, why does the Nu seems to be much taller than the RX-78-2? I was always under the idea that they were of similar height.

No new Gundams or Knightmare Frames; it's a classic battle for the biggest! Though even if they had conventional Knightmares I wouldn't be able to spot them; they're at the most 7-8 meters tall. So, what's the name of the guy who won this competition?

RX 78 is actually pretty small (only 15m I think. Nu Gundam is pretty large for an MS, hence it can't enter earth atmosphere and meant for space use only.

Hi-Nu on the other hand, are Nu Gundam modified so it can enter atmosphere

I'd have to pilot Gaiking as he's one of my all time favourite mechas.

Where's Gunbuster? He should be pretty huge.

Poor Big O, he's so tiny compared to a lot of the classics. That series was so good until it didn't make sense and they kinda "Matrix-ed" it. -_-;

I prefer the pic of all of them standing beside a Monolith from Warhammer.

Admittedly these are older Mechs, but if you put Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann on there, you would need a veeeeeeery big scale, considering the fact that it is the size of a galaxy xD

But out of the ones in the pic, i would say Getter Robo cos it looks awesome, but i would still rather pilot Gurren Lagann ^_^

The Nirvash TYPE ZERO, Nirvash Spec Two would be the same scale as a Macross Fighter. However the Nirvash - Integrated Memories would be slightly taller to distribute the mass.

I'd pilot the YF-19 Excalibur. Sea level to space in 30 seconds? I'm so there. That or the Zaku II cuz it's awesome.

I'd rather have a Valkyrie/Variable fighter since it can go supersonic and is much more compact~

If TTGL is there id pic that mech and if it was there it'll be a big red background.
But if those are the only mechs avail I'll choose old school MazingerZ

just in case anyone was still interested, the reason that the tengen toppa gurren lagann isn't in the graph is because it is 10 billion light-years in height. look it up.
