Recently discovered a nice Korean restaurant around the corner who do a great value lunch set - 790 yen for everything you see on the camera side of the table - T'was my lunch today. Tokyo does have its fair share of Korean food but not as much as I saw in Los Angeles. You is having good cheap Korean food in your region?
looks ten times better then what i am eating right now XD
Pricey. It's like $2 for a 100 gms. of kimchi around where I am. Spicey fermented vegetables shouldn't cost that much.
You got a great deal on your meal, Sir Danny. That bibimbap looks awesome.
not into Korean food since I'm not good with spicy food... although Mint and Wasabi is my strong point, oddly enough...
The one I had is a little bit pricey. A lunch set cost around S$9.00, and no drinks!! and the portion isn't really much =/ If the set really consist everything on the table (except the north end), wow indeed ( > _ < );
They usually do not get cheaper than that. And most of it would be "fake" anyway.
Looks good danny!!!! Next time try some gai-bi if you have not had it already. Korean food is my favorite food!!!
dole-soot bibim bap? yeah... la has more variety...
Where I live now, there is no Korean restaurant, but when I was still in Kingsford, I used to eat in a Korean restaurant near UNSW. Their steamed chicken was tasty.. slurp, oh, but steamed chicken isn't Korean food, is it? ^^
You're making me hungry... *Slurps*
Oooo I love those Bowl things, forgot they thay're called. so much food stuff all stuffed into one stone bowl. Also all the nice side dishes are interesting too.
That's cheap!! Too bad I don't eat spicy food ( but I love spicy wolf, lol)
Nice one there.
That is cheap!!! The only nice food near me is a chinese takeaway and i couldn't buy anything for that price :s
Looks nice and no, there isn't any good cheap Korean (or any other asian)restaurant near me X(
MMM. bibimbap is my favourite korean delicacy. bibimbap costs around RM15(around USD4.60) at the cheapest here, so that isn't that cheap at all. but it does come with those side dishes that are refillable, so it's still quite worth it.
If you want to see lots of Korean restaurant, you need to go to Shin Okubo. Shin Okubo is literally a Korea town in Japan, there are many Korean restaurants due to many Korean inns and students living there. To get there, simply take Yamanote Line train and get off at Shin Okubo station, which is close to Shibuya and Shinjuku station. Upon exit(there's only one exit for this station), turn right and you will start to see many Korean restaurants.
lol hoping to go there if i can XD
Mmmmm dunno how they prep the sprouts, so yummy!
Only 790 yen!!! Does it include coke?! At home kimchi, rice and coke are fine.......
I might have a decent korean food restaurant in my area, but I've never really checked. Yet there is a Bobba(?) Cafe across the street from my school.I usually buy chicken and rice from there.
We have a really diverse community over here so you can get pretty much everything you'd want to eat.
Have you been to that korean yakiniku place in odaiba DECKS? It overlooks the rainbow bridge, is really nicely done out and has space age tablet screens for menus! Ive been there twice - really nice place. You pay for that view though.... :-/
Dolsot bibimbap is one of my favorite but unfortunately, prices in Europe are crazy
I've never seen a Korean restaurant in my life. The food on the pic looks yummy. It's a pity that food can't be downloaded. ^^
Unfortunately I hate Cabbage, hence I am unwilling to eat Kimchi (I've tried it, just not going to bother again). BUT, Kimchi is not the ONLY Korean food of course, and there is an AWESOME Korean/Japanese restaurant here in the D.C. area. Unfortunately it is clear on the flip side of the city for me, making it roughly an hour and a half away, but... One of the best sushi available, and then on top of that the Korean meat dishes are very nice indeed. $25.00 USD for "all-you-can-eat" sushi and Korean. Damn, I should go back there soon.
Always have lots of home made tasty Korean food around. Wife is from Puchon (SW Seoul). :) Trighap, there are 250 different kinds of kimchi, only a handful are made with cabbage.
In Seattle, it's like Korean food heaven! There are atleast 4 great places to get Korean food on campus at UW.
half of that cost must go towards washing all those dishes....
in city we have a korean food restaurant, but i never go XD
Many good (and some just alright) Korean places in and around the night market. I eat lunch at one of them at least every other day. That hot stone bowl dish is one of my favorites, but Danny's looks tastier. :(
Nice, maybe I'll try it when I go to Japan. Where is it anyways?
That's a good meal you got there. My parents own a Japanese restaurant so i get the benefits of free rice and tons of leftovers every day. However, i'm moving to the ivy league area pretty soon. And i don't have any housewife skills.
frig...i want korean food now, in particular korean bbq. wish i was in toronto, they don't have any decent korean restaurants here in london as far as i know
Lots in the West end, tried one during the Chinese new year thing can't remember what it was called but the food was good, I'd call the price average £30 for 2 including service charge.
Are you talking about London England by any chance? Seems like it because I see the symbol for pound. Ok, to make this clear, I'm not talking about London Canada. I hate how most of our cities are actually named after other places X_X
I meant I was talking about London located in Ontario Canada.
Gotta blame the colonialists (who may have been missing home so much they called certain cities of the New World the same as their homeland ones).
I've only eaten Korean food... once. :0 And even then, I can only remember eating meat and causing a huge fire in the BBQ pit. 'Twas a long time ago.
It looks so good~ (and at a great deal too!)
great value meal! XD I won't have to eat tree barks if it's here T.T
let me see the menu : bibim bab[ mix rice with eggs, beef etc., kimchi, and broccali and etc. wow. i didnt know you liked korean food danny ._.
we have a lot of Korean restaurants here but i haven't tried korean food ^^;;;;
do they have kamjatang in Japan?!! couldn't find any when I was thurrr.
There are nice korean restaurants down here in São Paulo, but none as cheap as this one. Can you tell where in Tokyo is this one you found, Danny?
Tolworth near london, is called little korea as 20,000 Koreans live there, Amazing food. Some restaurants dont speak english or have poor translations but you havnt lived until youve eaten "big fish" from se-oul restaurant. Id avoid the sushi at the train station tho ;)
Wow, looks delicious
That's so cheap. Korean or Japanese restaurants over here are overpriced.
