A nice clip that shows clips of Tokyo mixed with game and anime footage. Which reminds me - I still have not seen Tekkon Kinkreet - any views on the movie? Looks great from the footage that I've seen.Tekkon Kinkreet below.
Nice seeing the real and the anime/game counterpart. Tokyo at night really looks great, I hope I'll soon be able to get there...
Interesting...the aerial footage is the best part.
Thanks for the footage. I really enjoyed Tekkon Kinkreet. The story did feel like it was missing some parts, but the animation is just stunning. There's also a lot of heart to it. Worth checking out.
Tekkon Kinkreet animation is just amazing... but the charater's face creeps me out...
Same here. Like the animation but don't like the character design, will give it a try.
Agree. Will also give it a try. Well, since I loved Spirited Away, I might love this one, too. ^^
Lol. They're nothing like each other.
It seems the echo problem becomes widespread, now. ^^
i have found a way to stop this (since i'm a victim of this as well >.<) if after pressing the "submit" buttona nd the browser doesn't bring you back to the topic within 10sec, close the page and reload dannychoo.com again. your comment will already be made.
I tended to open a new tab, but it would be even slower if I wanted to post another comment somewhere else. Well done Sherlock, and glad to see you've managed to solve your issue.
Sorry guys. working on the problem. tis a complicated problem and is getting on my nut.
Danny, if you don't consider that flooding in the first place, it's all cool, really. Kidding, just kidding! Okay, you people can hate me now. ^^
made a small change - testing for echoes
This thread has become the echo test bed...
yep - still testing changes orz
Must be a cyber-cave lodged in the server...Error...Error...Error..........
Lol. They're nothing like each other.
Well, I only compared them based on their art, which looks similar to me. ^^
Lol. They're nothing like each other.
I share the same opinion also.
I got Tekkon Kinkreet coming soon from Netflix, according to my queue list it's the next one in line. The character designs are....interesting, but we'll see how it goes.
well edited.
Tekkon Kinkreet is a visual masterpiece. very worth checking out. also check out paprika.
Watched, bought the DVD and liked Tekkon Kinkreet. I also read the manga long time ago. Animations by Studio 4C for those who knows it... Also: Love the music on the clip!
TekkonKinkreet is something anyone who's an Anime fan, should see. For me, I thought the voice acting was great, and the work that the artists put into the movie was obvious, with such great detail, down to the teeny tiny little pebbles on the street.
Ninomiya Kazunari of Arashi voiced Kuro in the movie. ^^ /unnecessary information
Thsi reminds me, I have yet to play the Xbox version of Jet set radio. I hear it isn't as good as the first... a third one would be pretty sweet.
Some things are better, some are worse, but it is definitely worth playing if you liked the original. A new one would indeed be schweet.
Tekkon Kinkreet is a great, IMHO, although I have friends which could not stand it. The style is gorgeous IMHO, rather refreshing in that it's anime looks with a twist. Expect, though, the "Studio 4ºC" factor in it. The story, albeit charming, is weird and pretends to be. So you are not getting an explicite "and it ends like this". Be prepared to have to put your dose of interpretation in it.
That one nice vid. It kind of gives you in an anime perspective that it is a place woth visiting at least a few times in a life-time...
That's alot of animes and games that made Tokyo their setting. 'o'
Tekkonkinkreet is visually very stunning piece of animation. Very detailed and amazing backgrounds and design. Part Russia, part old Tokyo and part Hong Kong. Characters are also great. Story-wise, great start, intro, build up and everything but it gets a bit lost towards the last part for me.
wow, nice video!!!
Nice vid, must visit Tokyo asap. But obviously, they could've mixed in ten times more anime clips in there; Tokyo is a main stage in so many shows
Simply agreed.
this is so damn depressing, i just found out that i wont be able to go to japan this year, god damn that vid is sweet
When is it out on DVD????
I went to see Tekkon Kinkreet in movie theater here last year and liked it a lot. In my opinion it's one of the best anime movies I've seen. Visually great and interesting story. I haven't read the original manga yet, but thought that maybe I should get it so that I'd be able to compare anime and manga and see the changes they made to the movie.
I have read the manga: nice. The anime movie looks great and promissing. But seeing the trailer, the animation remind me of "MINDGAME". Is it the same crew/director (Nishi Robin if I remember well) ? Anyway, MINDGAME is a masterpiece ! Probably the best animation movie I have ever seen. A true Masterpiece. It blew my mind, it is a wonder: fun, crazy, extremely creative, thrilling & moving => I advice it to all !!! Please check out.
Downloaded a fansub once. Got all excited but the subs were Spanish ;_; Must get round to buying it.
wow, this was fantastic, added to favs :)
i've seen Tekkon Kinkreet last summer at a movie festival near me, its really nice, the art is pretty rough, you have to get used to it, but the animation and story are pretty interesting. See it if you ever get the time to.
I've yet to see Tekon Kinkreet. Just haven't gotten around to watching it. From the visuals, i can tell it must be a good picture. The backgrounds kind of remind me of Imperial Boy's art.
