Thats good news! I loved gurrenn lagann, until about 2/3rds of the way through the series when it just got silly and OTT. I hope it takes place at the middle of the series, rather than afterwards. Not sure how they will continue the story when they have a galaxy-sized gurren...!

After the Legendary take down of Teppelin and the Epic final battle against the Anti-Spirals, I'm wondering what can they throw at us for maximum impact. I'm hoping it'll be really good and one which we'll never forget. Loved the series ^^.
although i have yet to watch the series, i think the movie will turn out gorgeous.

Season are referred to the 13 episodes part. So Gurren Lagann is a two seasons (I believe the actual term is coul, but can be wrong) series, until 13 and 14 forward.
I heard from somewhere that first movie gonna be recap from TV series with added footage like they did for Gun Buster movie. Official announcement will be made for upcoming Newtype magazine so we shall wait and see.
Hmmm I bet the quality of the movie will be quite enjoyable like ep 1 and 2...Fanservice of Yoko...

Hope there will be not too much flashback in the gurren lagan movie (it kinda suck to watch 2/3 movie that inside of it all about flashback like the other anime have done before)

Hopefully it isn't. If it's anything like the Shana movie then it will be a recap with an alternate ending which was dissapointing.
Some did worse... Namely the first Bleach OVA (which is an almost verbatim of the episode of Ichigo VS. Grand Fisher). Liked the 1st Shana movie as it seemed not to be more quick paced and had more emotions to it... But then again, when you are forced to watch recaps of the first episodes through certain ways (Movie, Second season...) there is some place for disappointment indeed.
I really need to get myself to start watching the series. darn it.
