Drugged Harry Potter

Drugged Harry Potter
A study shows...
"Harry Potter addicts find giving up wizard books harder than ditching cigarettes, says study" - read more at The Daily Mail.

What are you most addicted to?
For me I think its anime and figures.

Dunno really, the thing is that I get tired of things so fast. The only games that really can get me stuck is JRPG's with good story. I still buy every good game that comes out though, but it isn't often that I complete them.

So I would have to say that it is the otaku life overall that has me addicted, since there are a lot of new things to see and acquire.

VIII is by far my favorite as well.

Loved the story and the junctioning system, as I always say, a complete game is one that you don't have to make prequels or sequels or movies or remakes...and I am still playing it...

...and Triple Triad!!!! and the music!

Although I do have one wish for VIII if they do decide to do a remake: overhaul of the 3d engine would be nice and voices. Heck, I would buy the ps3 if that happened

You are right, I consider FF VIII to be a complete mess... I still wonder how it would have turned out if they kept the original system (battle, magic, equipment, funds, etc.).
I will buy FFT very soon and enjoy lost sensations... Can't wait for the climactic fight against Bariaus and many other enjoyable moments.

even though my first one was FFVII on PC, i also played VIII on PS and enjoyed it very much. i didn't start over 5-6 times to work out different story-arcs like in VII, but was thinking about playing it again and enjoying the great background music on my 5.1 audio setup.
the end fight was not as challenging as expected but the atmosphere was on par with the ending of FFVII and FFX.
just my two cents...

I wonder what would have happened if new school gamers were introduced to a full remake of FF VI (in 3D version and all) with a deepened plot and so on... This game for me has been unrivaled (in the series along with the original FFT), in terms of characters, story and magic.

and about the Harry Potter books, i never really understood the phenomena behind them. i mean i read all 7 books. but i didn't have Pottermania. compared to Harry Potter, the LotR books were so much better, i will even go so far as say that the Potter books were kiddy. I think its unfair that the media only hyped Harry Potter, i think people would benefit more from reading the 6 volume masterpiece known as Akira instead.

My life could be summarized in addictions... comic books, movies, series, manga, anime, figures...

Right now, I can't live without my daily dose of RSS feeds.

Counter Strike:Source and Team Fortress 2... I'm slowly getting rid of both, but there are still some days I can go playing 5+hours.

But I need healthier addictions... and specially, some addicton that pays me, not otherwise. :P

Oh, about Harry Potter... I never read a book, or watched a movie 'till now. I'm one in a million...

Nothing against it... I just decided to wait 'till the Harry Potter fever passes. Problem is, it's taking a long time to pass. :P
