Panel 2: A (character written on stick) Panel 4: Akari (light) Explanation: Those familiar with popsicles and ice cream in Japan will understand this. Most popsicle sticks have either the words あたり (atari, win) or はずれ (hazure, lose) on them. It's basically a little game, and if you get a winning stick, you can trade it in at the store for a free ice cream (or mail in for a certificate). Chibi Miku, on the otherhand, got あかり (akari, light) on her stick, hence her confusion in panel 3. This play on words will become clear in the next installment of Chibi Miku (debuting Yowane Haku). ^_^ Image from Gelbooru.
I like Miku's face expression in panel 3 ^^
Messy child, she has ice on her face ^__^
I wish lolly sticks were so good in britian, the best I get is lame jokes :( Is that lolly negi flavoured btw?
i remember when younger it used to be fun to get those icecreams and try to get a free one, they used to just let you pick another and often you could win again but they soon stopped that and gave you a non comp freebie. lol
Haven't ate an ice cream in century. Remember when I'm still a wee' child I dare not to ask if I can change for goods/extra ice cream in school canteen when I was a child. Was guessing that I couldn't do so anyway xD
lol then what does she win???
The ice cream looks like it's soda-flavored. Those popsicles are so good~!
My luck always runs out..... Never been lucky in one of this ice-cream competition..... haih.......
Man, all I get on my popsicles is lame jokes.
