The word for wallpaper in Japanese is "Kabegami" [壁紙]. Kabe [壁] means "Wall" and is the same "Kabe used in Kabe onna Yama Onna (eyes as flat as a wall). Kami [紙] means "Paper" - the "K" is softened into a "G" when stuck on the end of "Kabe" so its "Kabegami" and not "Kabegami." Get this Kabegami and more at Digik - love this one - not sure if its from any series or just an illustration. Danny, FLCL is considered one of the best anime ever created, and it was supposibly only a test of the animation, from the people that made Neon Genesis Evangelion and TTGL. It is only 6 episodes, and it is definetly worth watching, it even includes music from one of the best Japanese bands I've ever listened to, The Pillows.

It's a popular show here in the USA that airs on the Nickelodeon channel. Haha I noticed the same thing about Avatar. FLCL is such a good show.. It's the only anime I've seen more than a few times. Such good memories ^_^ Loved every minute of it.
Avatar is GREAT ! I really enjoy this show ! Even though it comes from the US, it has a lot of asian spirit, the chara design and plot are cool and the animation is very good.
FLCL was a nice short series, loved the soundtrack by the Pillows

FLCL is a very freak ansd maniac serie(or mini-serie), but also a good example of excelent animation, like only Gainax does. Nice Kabegami, Danny, and also thanks for show us this site, have tons of images!!

FLCL (fooly cooly) is one of my fav animes of all time, its a really short and fun series, and the English voice acting was actually good for once. This particular wallpaper looks like a scan that's been digitally restored and had all the text removed.
