Fancy working in Japan as a Description Writer, Web/Print Graphic Designer? If so then J-List are looking for you. The pay is 260,000 yen-280,000 yen and you can read more details about the job on their job page. One caveat - you need to be resident in Japan. The photo is of the J-List offices. For folks who want more details or tips on getting into Japan, have a look at my Work in Japan article - many have written to me saying that the info helped them get here.
omg! (what a cute building) too bad Im not resident of japan ^O^;;;;
any chance of working as an aircraft maintenance engineer? i really want to work in japan :)
Give me another 3~4 year and i'll be there!
Me too! Though I might be going there as a student in the postgraduate phase, and not as a employee. Which sucks since I want to get my own income as soon as possible >_
Me as well, 2-4 years is my goal :) First thing I'm doing is studying japanese, getting to at least jlpt level 3 and some fluent conversation. I think that is the most important step towards getting a job and live in Japan. (And during these years, saving some money ;p)
:cries:
Its okay now, you will get to go some day.
I feel your sorrow too. *quote*You are not alone*quote*
T_T
I think the irony for a lot of the users here that live outside of Japan is that Jlist's owners originally hailed from North America (if I recall right) before setting up work in Japan. No love for foreigners :p
a bit off topic, but this is as good a place to ask as any. what's the average monthly wage in japan for a working salaryman?
that amount of pay seem to be pretty low for Japan. Perhaps someone can chime in but I would expect the avg salary to be 40-50,0000yen/month...
Do Japanese count by ten thousands like Chinese?
What's average and for what Job? .... i think you meant to quote 400,000 > 500,000 yen per month as an average but i would say that's on the higher end. I know many Japanese that have office jobs, some skilled some not so skilled and their pay ranges from 250,000 > 400,000. A nurse friend of mine was well paid on 350,000 she told me. As for teachers i think they're lucky to get 250,000 > 300,000 after a few years service, the JET is pretty open about it. As a gaijin NOT working as an English teacher i'm paid well and considerably above all the locals i know.
I just saw the 4 trailing zero's so disregard my comment with regards to being that far off the mark.
I just hope there's something like that available to me when I complete my plans to move to Japan. [:P]
awww crap looked perfect until the resident of japan thing.
Lol you will know what are the latest wackiest stuff available from japan working there.
its in isesaki...there's nothing around there and its about 3 hours away from tokyo. remember to keep that in mind. ^^;
With all the eroge and adult products, you don't need anything around there ^^; (J/K) The place looks lonely and more like a house instead.
Agreed that it looks ronery.. that was my first impression.
This is probably the best place to mention this. The owner of JList has a weblog on InsaneJournal.com . He blogs as "the_terrible". Almost all of his posts are friends-locked, but he doesn't really post any health-care content. You would have to sign up there (or use OpenID) and ask him to friend you. You should have some content in your weblog as well.
I hope the person who they are looking for will improve their design and interface in general. While that site sells a lot of goodies its very ugly.
Yeah, a ton of product and I have had good experiences with them...but browsing their seemingly endless text-tree is impossible! Is it even in some kind of order?
Hi Danny, Sometime back I dropped you an email regarding some queries about getting a Japanese speaking job. Did you receive it since I never got a reply.
Where is that house located?! It looks like it's in the middle of nowhere...
T_T
I feel your pain.
How do I write to you Danny Choo? I still need some more tips from the master himself ^_^
yes I ponder the same thing. I had a topic I wanted to ask Danny about.
I wish someone would answer us..
Awww man, why can't I be there now?
Give me 4 years more and I'll be permanently in Japan!! Would prefer to be in a engineering researching firm though.
I wish I could learn to read and write Japanese, if I could I would be over there looking for a job, I'm sure my C# Otaku skills would be in great demand. P.S. Are the Japanese really into computers these days? While I was in Shinjuku's Kinokuniya bookstore I was amazed at the vastness of the IT book selection, it was surprising to see so many of our Western books (O'Reilly etc.) in Japanese. I'm sure I would sell more of my software as well if I made Japanese versions.
Sugoi! (I hope that's right, correct me if not ^^') I'd take it but I can't leave the country for another 5 years (studies T_T)
wow! thanks for the info! i'm working on my degree right now and was hoping to get a job somehwere out of the states! (more than likely japan)
Thanks for posting this type of stuff, I think it helps alot of people on this site and hopefully could help me when I FINALLY get over there.
