Yeah, because the 2D picture is actually an Asian woman... The 3D one is closer to an Asian woman because (a) it's actually a woman and (b) Yoko (2D) looks a lot more western than she does Asian.

asian women are far more beautiful
as cosplayers - western women...just don't really fit the profile. Unless they were cosplaying as a character who happens to be of a western background, but that's a different story

Anime character almost always look more western than Japanese. How many anime characters have almond-shaped eyes, the Japanese skin tone, black hair and black eyes? Coincidentally, I'd actually say that L is one of the few anime characters that a Japanese person can play without it looking comical (e.g. no need for a funny blonde wig).

Well, everyone has their own preferences, but as long as one keep in mind that we can't assume how a person's inner is just based on her appearance.. ^_~;

People say that Asian cosplays are more awesome, but there are many that are actually not that awesome, and there are many Occidental cosplays that are actually quite awesome. X3

Well in this particular case we are being asked if we prefer the cosplayer or the original 2D version, which is kinda unfair in a sense for the 3D girl. As far as the quality of the cosplay, I personally think this is the best Yoko I've ever seen. If this wasn't a comparison between the two and simply a post to show off a good cosplay of Yoko, then I'm sure the posts would be much more positive towards the cosplayer.

Ugh.....sorry about the repetitive wording lol.

Not usually a huge fan of cosplay (don't shoot me) but when some people do it well, its amazing. Good luck on your endeavor. :)
Actually the more I think about it, I am a huge fan of movies in which the female leads dress as anime character. For example Keiko Kitagawa as Sailor Mars and Eriko Toda as Misa Akane.

Actually I don't think it's the fact she's not Japanese. The 3D version has bigger shorts on, a smaller chest. The 2D girl is practically leaping out of her shorts and her small top doesn't quite cover her oppai. Make no mistake, I still think the cosplayer is quite pretty, but I'd have to give the nod to 2D in this one case.

Just kidding, but 3d all the way. I don't have that great of an imagination. She looks "right" to me anyways.

I don't care if the 3D Yoko isn't pretty. I mean seriously do you honestly think there's an actual girl out there who looks EXACTLY like Yoko? (Big yellow eyes, body and long LONG red hair?). I go with 3D because she has the cosplay down right and she can be my hug pillow any day of the week ^_~.
