■村祭りの準備で
　くすぐったいのを我慢しながら塗られてる日本から来た娘さん(19歳)と塗っている現地の娘さん(18歳)

村で祭りがあるとかで、友達の娘にボディペイントを施されているところ。塗っているものはたぶん植物性の素材。模様には意味は無く、思い付きをそのまま塗っているだけとの事である。祭の内容は村外の者の参加例が無い為に不明。期間は長老がサイコロ状のもので決めると言われている。今年は５日間。彼女は今年が初参加で特に多く全身に書き込まれる為、期間中は腰蓑の着用も不可となるらしい。

■Preparing for the Village Festival
Bearing with the ticklishness of being painted, is the Japanese girl (19 years old) and the local girl who is painting her (18 years old).

For the upcoming village festival, she is having her body painted by her local friend. The material used for the paint is probably some kind of plant material. There is no meaning to the pattern, as she is just painting according to her fancy. The story behind the festival is unknown as there are no foreign participants. It is said that the time period was decided on the throw of something resembling a dice by the village elder. Today is the fifth day. Since this is her first time, she'll be covered with more patterns, and is fobidden from wearing her grass skirt for the duration of the festival.
