ok here is my 00Raiser you may say is not painted well the white is already been taken care off but the blue is killing ME!!! T_T i cant just get the right color or is to light or to dark and im going nuts im running low on paint and im all out of money for my hobby. so what do you all recommend me? shall i paint it dark blue and just keep trying to get the exact color o.o
i'd say go a bit on the dark side... and if you don't like it just strip the paint off with oven cleaner latter.. when you have some more monies !
oven cleaner? does it work? any specific brand?
I rmber Danny wrote an article on Gundam tutorial, you might wanna search for it.
i was checking the tutorials there quite a few.
no particular brand.. get regular though.. no fumes stuff doesn't work as well
sorry for double post, just spray it on and let it rest for a few hrs then scrub off with an old toothbrush in the sink.. bit of dish soap on the brush helps clean it up also works on gold plating..
paint the blue like the HCM pro OOraiser ^_^
how is that? i haven't seen it o.o
here ^_^ http://i346.photobucket.com/albums/p407/aguro_w/ooraiser.jpg
the green on the 0raiser window sure looks cool O_O
if you can't find the right paint for the blue parts, might I suggest the sand method? just evenly sand it down with extra fine 2000 grit sandpaper, and leave it as it is. btw do you use glossy paint or matt?
i was thinking if i dare to paint 00raiser a dark blue i would use glossy
In all honesty, does it really matter if you paint the thing? I mean, it's not like it's getting any bluer? Unless you want to change the colour, or if it truly does require it (I'm pretty sure the 00 needs painting on the clear parts) does it really make a difference?
there are some little parts like the visors for the guns and it does make a bit of a change to tell you the trut maybe is just me like the GN condensers i use a marker that was of a metallic greenish and is does change the look of it.
just spray flat matte on it & you'll have the HCM Pro looks ^^ Look at the end result of my FG Exia, it does look & feel like HCM Pro http://www.dannychoo.com/detail/mac/eng/image/10074/Gundam+Exia+mini+tutorial.html
How 'bout something similar to this. Darker than the HCM-Pro, but not as strong as the 1/100 http://hobbystm2.web.fc2.com/gallery/chikka-008.html
that a nice color o.o
gething that tone of blue is a pain in the behind T_T
I think there's white + blue + pink involved there :) don't forget the lighting makes huge difference too.
pink? i need to trie it i shall never give up!! :) thx for the tip
just a little bit! it gives that little touch of purplish tint to it.
