Well, just recently I got my DJ Max Black Square Limited Edition...(Expensive too) Don't you think for a game this is a lot of stuff for a game. Content: -Art book Illusions -4 CD soundtrack (O.S.T) -DJ Max Black Square Speakers -Son of Sun Special Gift -DJ Max Black Square Premium Limited Case -DJ Max Black Square Game -Bandana: Black Square Edition 2009 Pentavision New Year's Card I say this is a lot for a game. It seems to be extremely popular too!!! I think it got sold out quick over at Play-Asia...less then a week within pre-orders...they sold out... For people who doesn't know, this game is a beat music game. As you played this game, each note is its own beat to the song. If you don't hit the notes that comes across the screen...no music and you'll lose if you mess a certain amount. Do anyone out there played the DJ Max games before? or would you play it if you have the chance? Here's the video on the opening to the game and some gameplay. Many people say that this is the hardest game in the series. I agree as I played the previous versions and I still love this game as it's a fun beat game. More pictures and info on my blog
I have this for my psp aswell. this is the first game Ive owned from series. Sadly I can barley mangage to complete low level songs in 4 BUTTONS mode. Without a doubt, this would be a game i would play for hours if is wasn't so difficult. (I like the great opening video with the cute girl creating a black square)
She is actually on of the mascot of the previous edition of DJ Max Clazziquai...I suggest you try that game too...as it's easier then Black Square as Black Square is meant for experience players of the game...
Thanks, I think I might try that game and come back to Black Square later.
i always end up failing each song...>< felt kinda pissed at first but ended up trying harder. haha!
PSP Game of the year in my opinion. :)
DJ max series always made you feel that Koreans have 12 fingers
i dont have it but seems nice.. my friends gave me psp for my Bday^^ so i guess i should buy this one and test it out
Hawt.
I think the original had some song called "Blythe" and it was totally awesome. Lets see... you tube don't fail me now... ...Woot found it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ORxyGNzFHs&fmt=18 Great tune.
Now I wants a psp..
Yes, Black Square is hard indeed... I barely managed to get into the Core System area in Club Tour mode. But this version of the game IS aimed at DJMP veterans, though. The packaging's class. I like this more than the giant box the DJMP2 LE came in.
When I heard that they were releasing DJ Max Fever in America (Jan. 27st!), I decided that I wanted to get a PSP (which I did for Xmas. Got the Ratchet & Clank bundle w/ the 3000 model & even got 5 games!). I'm gonna buy it with the gift card I also got for Xmas (still has about $72, originally had $100). If I like Fever, I'll see if I can import the others (thank goodness the PSP (& DS, for that matter) don't have region-protection).
BTW, how much did that Limited Edition cost? I imagine it must off cost well over $100.
Cost around $180 USD!!!
Had to skip out on this one. to heavy for my pocket a I thought, regretting not getting it now though
I want to like DJ Max. It's a polished game, but it is squarely aimed at people who are willing to devote a LOT to being competent. I don't mind a learning curve on a game, but there's no impetus to devote the time and effort to improving skill beyond the satisfaction of being good at it. A game like Guitar Hero is different, as there is a connection between the instrument and the music, and there is satisfaction in actually being part of the music--the buttons themselves are connected with producing it. DDR is different because the movements are designed to produce rhythmic body motions. With DJ Max, mashing buttons that are sometimes vaguely beat related on cue is all there is. It's good, and fun, but there's not enough there to convince me it's worth the insane difficulty curve.
OMG I'm so jealous... DJ Max <333
Sadly I lost my psp
nice
I've been playing Black Square like mad this past week. I have also purchased the UMD. I own DJ Max 1 and 2 for PSP as well but not Clazziquai. I've played it but...it's too easy imo. Black Square has much more to offer I think.
Had it for a while...Never got to play it though...>.<'' I enjoyed DJ Max Portable the original and especially the Second. Clazziquai was interesting 'cause of the new songs. Must start playing this. Have gotten used to all button modes except for 8button/FX modes[except for 4BFX]
Sounds like Dance Dance Revolution, Stepmanie, Guitar Hero, or Rock Band to me... Same concept i guess. looks good though. As for content amount. Yeah, its as if they got desperate to move them at some point.
Wow, that's a lot..
