The Link chart seems to be a bit out of order, and sadly leaves out some interesting incarnations of the character. Oh well.

I felt the same way as the Link from Link's Awakening was put between the ones from the first and the second one... However the Gameboy game was made after A Link to the Past.
Too bad, but this chart is nice still.

If this makes you nostalgic about Nintendo games, I suggest you to play any Super Smash Bros. as the mix of the old and the new is simply awesome.

Nope, it's the fourth.
In this image Zelda 1 = first Link, Zelda The Adventure of Link = third, Zelda A Link to the Past = fourth and finally the one from Link's Awakening is the second one.
I still wonder why the guy put both Links from Ocarina of Time (young and adult) as they are the same game.
Yup, putting Toon Link would have been logical but hey...

I loved the way Jumpman made squeaking sounds when walking and jumping in the original Donkey Kong by the way.
Even the death sound and animation were funky. ^^

Earliest I remember these characters was on my SNES, though I apparently used to play my father's NES a whole lot as a small child.

I know I'm a lot younger than Danny, but I can't help but feel old when I look that far back.

I'm so old I played with previous versions... :P
But I had a gap in time... didn't play with N64 versions, and no gameboy for me either.

But I did play older games that those... :P

What about Mario from Pipeline, Wrecking Crew and some other bizarre stuff. :P

wow....the 1st generation link looks like an egg....and then it evolved ....and grew up >.>;;;;;;;;;;;;;

unlike mario and kong who both retained features from their first appearance....link is no where near to his future sprites XP

but they're classic, nonetheless :P
