Geass Custom Contacts

Something for those of you who have people in your life who you need to influence - Geass contact lenses. Wondering how healthy they are for ones eyes.

I tried green contact lenses in my early twenties. I have a bit of Astigmatism and back then they didn't have contact lenses for cross eyed folks but I tried them out for a day anyway - got very dizzy ^^;

Thought about getting contacts just for when I wear Vader armor but couldn't be bothered. Glasses can be inconvenient but are easy to maintain. The story from a relative about a contact lens slipping to the back of the eyeball (they needed operation to remove it) also reminds me why I shouldn't bother ^^;

Original text from Actar below.
With this, the power of Geass can be yours! Well, not really... In the series, Lelouch disguised his power of Geass with contacts. Now, these contacts will allow those who can't use Geass to have the appearance of being able to use Geass. We've seen custom contacts for awhile now. First, there were the colored contacts that changed the color of your iris. Then, more advanced contacts came into existence, such as those that could give you eyes like those of a cat/reptile and even ones that sported pictures and messages. Once I watched Code Geass, I just knew that a product like this would be created one day. Well, my vision came true. So, do visit the site here, that specializes in custom contacts, and get your's now for a measly 160 bucks... I do think they have many other designs as well. Whatever the price and case, this would be indeed an awesome item for a Lelouch/Rolo/Geass User cosplayer to be sporting at any photoshoot, event or contest. Perhaps a cheaper alternative will be available one day. Thanks to Nintendokid for the links! (^o^)

Out of curiosity, is the Naruto Sharingan contact more, less, or as expensive as the Geass one?

They are like $100 per eye which is ridiculous...

And up to $160 for some!
Only a pro cosplayer would buy it! or someone who is rich!

There's another one here: http://www.colorlens4less.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=92&language=en that costs only 39 bucks. Though the quality is obviously not as good as the symbol is all distorted...

Usually, due to the special ink and printing press need to make sure the contact actually still works when you wear it.

I have been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old so I am pretty used to them. Tried contact but found glasses easier to maintain and I have been wearing them practically most of my life so decided to keep them. Might switch to contact though in the future.
The geass contact is pretty cool looking but the price is kind of... off ^^.

Im wearing glasses for 2 reasons:
1.They need no maintenance at all except for cleaning
2.I dont have to stick them into my eyes^^

Im really sensible when it comes to my eyes.Simply looking at people putting contacts in their eyes make my eyes all teary.

(All eyes reffered to in this comment are of optical nature ^^)

I've worn contacts for 8 years now and not had a single problem, if you keep them in the right stuff they'll even clean themselves. There easy, simple and alot less hassle than people assume.

As for all the horror stories, i bought mine so i could play rugby ( which is a very contact heavy sport :D ) and i've yet to have anything bad happen. Make sure you get the right type and they create suction against your eyeball which means they cannot move, shift about, ect...

Lol...j/k...but really that'd be awesome. I would like these contacts but I don't plan on cosplaying a Geass-user.

Don't like wearing contacts. I used to wear hard lens at night and take them off in the morning, but I never liked it. The whole Geass thing is taking it a little far. I would prefer the Sharingan one if I had to get one, but that's a little too extreme for me.

I have glasses but I did rather have contacts. I hardly wear it unless I really need to. It's a pain because they break very easily, not to mention I don't look good in it.

The reason I don't have contacts is because they are expensive.

at least you're not 650 and 700 lol. Sucks can't see anything clearly unless it's like 4-5 inches in front of me : Tried contacts before but it was a hassle to put 'em in and take 'em out everyday, and I never did get used to sticking my fingers in my eyes lol

Those geass contacts though (and all the other contacts on their site), looks like you can order them for prescription too.

Wow. That's pretty cool but the price is pretty crazy. If I do cosplay as Lulu, I might get it ^^

Umm, it's very cool to complete an epic cosplay.

But the price........... just for an eye, not pair.............

Another thing to aware is that, how long will these contact lens last? 1 Year/ 1 month?
Is it a disposable soft lens or a hard lens?

If it's a hard lens (very long term), then the price justified.

Ah, I knew about the Geass Contacts a couple of months ago and forgot to post on DC. At least Danny was able to find it and share it. These contacts are expensive though, but a perfect accessory for a Code Geass cosplayer.

Those are awesome. They would definitely show just how committed you are to a cosplay.

Thankfully I don't need glasses but even if I did I seriously doubt that I would ware contacts.

It looks cool to me, but the price makes it way less appealing. Not that I'd want it, though. I wear glasses and I'm too nervous to try contacts since I don't like anything touching my eyes at all. Still pretty neat contacts though.

I could easily afford these, but right now I'm on a budget. Even if I were to buy these I would have no real use for them. What's the point?

That looks really awesome but too bad its so darn expensive.

Never bothered trying on contacts before. They are much more troublesome to maintain compared to glasses IMO.

Got both lenses and glasses. Like wearing the lenses when I go out, the glasses are better when doing work. Tried colored lenses, but since I already got blue eyes, couldnt find any that really changed my eye color.

Haha I wonder if I can remove and put it on as easily as Lelouch does in the second season.

I don't wear contacts. I think it will irritate my eyes too much. When I was young I scratched my eyes a lot, so they don't look clean anymore.

Hey Danny I mentioned this before when you discussed contacts in another article. What kind of contacts was your relative wearing and when was this? I have had contacts slip back into my eye several times(from going to bed without taking them out) and never was a surgery required. They just popped back out when i woke up or shortly after. There have been tons of advancements in ow the contacts fit, feel, what material they are made of, and what specific types of conditions they can apply to. So i think your worry is all for nothing here. With that aside I don't see why you wouldn't have contacts...they can't break, get caught or hooked on something, they don't get in the way of hats of helmets., etc. Its actually cheaper for me to wear contacts then to buy glasses.

Oh, and those Geass lenses are so overpriced it is sickening. I have looked into many styles of lenses that alter you eye color, shape, etc. And, I could probably buy 7 different kinds for the price of that Geass lens. It sickens me at how shameless business are in the anime(or any) industry for cranking up prices just because the product is from a popular series. this is why i will never become a hard core collector of merchandise....it is simply a waste of money. Though not everyone is as poor as me, so I guess when you have lots of money it is easy to throw it around and get "comfortable" wasting it on a regular basis.

When you consider that you can get these in their toric alternatives with no extra charge, they don't charge any extras for the prescription, they're hand and individually painted, and they last a year, they're not THAT expensive..
Sure, you can get a bunch of 3 months contacts that are produced in mass, but the quality is not the same.

Though, who would actually wear these every day?

But does the Geass move with your eyeball? It would be awkward if it remained in one position throughout.

I had contacts disappearing to the side of my eye before. Happens rather often in fact, when the eye gets dry and the lens dun really fit. It not that bad, a little pressure to the eyeball while rolling your eye usually will get it out. Scarier will be when the contact break up on your eye as it happen once to me. =)
