Creative Bento of Gertrud Barkhorn although it probably tastes a bit plain - the dark stuff is Nori which is Japanese dried seaweed. Original text from Tojii below.Indeed! I saw this at www.crunchyroll.com and I thought I had to shear it with you guys. Yes, that is in fact a Lieutenant Barkhorn Bento... How mutch time is invested in such wonderful art!? Hope not to many people have seen it all ready. On a scale of 1-10: How awesome?
So much time to prepare, only to be consumed in a matter of minutes! O_o
LOL you have a point. But this bento is indeed awesome, a work of art ^_^
it's too good to be eaten tho....
I would hang it on my wall...
I think I'll airsealed it & auction it on eBay~~~~~
lol
Oh! So here is where it went. ^^ Awesome right? But Coloring it with some sauce wouldn't hurt, at least the patsu... Yeah that would be great
who can bear to eat that?!
I certainly would, that's still better than letting it rot. :)
there's always preservation =p
"Freezing" That's the key word!
when else can u eat gertrude!?
Its Gertrud! LETS EAT HER UP
nice.. now someone needs to sell these kinda bento.. :D
I'd start eating it from the bottom. ^____^
Extremely well done! Over the course of my Anime Obsession, I have also come across other very well made and elaborate bentos. While this is nice, it would have been even better if he/she added more color using meat, fishcake, etc... Sushi and rice is kinda plain...
quite awesome. i admire the dedication in cutting those fine slices of seaweed. I wonder how long it took...
That is just soooo cool :) If there is one way to get me over my dislike of seaweed, this would be it ;b
3rd try posting comment, it is either comment going to appear 3 times or once The seaweed is prolly "cut" using CG tools and then superimposed onto the bento. Anyway if this comment only appear once, then theres some problem with the scripting in the posting, aka msg wont appear if u click on post comment and then login from there.
Steps to properly consume an Anime bento: 1. Admire Bento 2. Take picture of Bento 3. Frame picture 4. Eat Bento while looking at picture.
IT'S REALLY AWESOME! It's an art!!!
Looks tasty !
The only question is weather to start from the bottom or the top ^_^
On a scale of 1-10? I'd say about....50? lol. So cool!!! Much time and persaverance spent on this I'm sure. Top show.
WOW very creative! I will not be able to do the same thing >_<
looks like a mahjong tile though i would buy that
I wish i could do that!!!
The nori looks like it's placed on a flat surface above the rice. Picture is 'shooped. :/ Rice goes out of the corners of the box. But the nori creation in itself is epic! :D
Is that pantsu? XD
*goes to eat her pantsu first* LOL
I wouldn't even want to eat it as it looks so awesome.
That is awesome. I he made a stencil first, he could eat her for lunch every day!
Oh yeah I would rate it 10, says in the quote.
Now. Where to start "eating"...
Shat man...the time and skill that is required....lets just say I'll never be able to make that.
I could never ever eat something like this! Just thinking about all the time the creator has put into this
Oh cool! I want to try making one now!
This seems relatively easy. It just like making stencil, I will make Mirai when I have time
you wouldnt eat that would you?...its art
the bentou is abit plain, both figuratively and literally. the literal part; only seaweed.
Nine
Damn, I wish I had that.
I wish I had the skill. That's flippin' awesome!
Very artistic! Usually mothers try to show off for their kids' bento, but whose kid is this for? XD
Where should one start eating this if they could bear to eat it?...
Makes me want to eat it.
To be honest, this doesn't take that much skill to make, but the time and effort put into doing paper-cutting on the nori (seaweed-cutting?) looks pretty substantial. I wonder how many sheets of nori were ruined during cutting. >.<~
Bento art like this isn't usually meant to be eaten is it? Then again it would just spoil if it is.
that's certainly a piece of art. nobody eat pieces of art right? ('~')
You do when it's delicious. Besides, it's now immortalized on the internet forever!
what can I say....it's just totally awesome .I would pay a bundle for that....OK....maybe not me but some people will....
Considering how nori isn't very cooperative to begin with this is indeed a great accomplishment of the culinary arts.
Great. I'd want a Lucchini instead, tho.
The is a great art. It's such a waste to eat her up but preserve it won't last long also.
lol
Its OVER 9000 awesome on the scale xD. Wouldn't want to eat it though since it looks nice and would not taste much anyway.
that's just awesome.. i wonder if anyone would fap over it then gets hungry and decides to eat that afterwards?
Ha looks great it'd be the perfect thing to take out in front of friends at lunch. I doubt I'd eat it tho looks to good.
I'd feel too bad eating it, and end up preserving it or something :(
That is genius, if found that in my lunch I don't think I could bring myself to eat it.
Agreed man, its too cute.
thats amazing!!!!! what can they do with noodles?
a big 10 for awesomeness!
it's a shame that it has to be eaten...such a great piece of art
sorry i hungry "Itada kimasu"
really interested in how its made
