Dollfie Dream Yukino

(Figures(52)
Thu 2009/01/01 10:36
Another Dollfie Dream get?! This is Yukino who is buddies with Aoi-chan. Comes with the M size bust. Who do you prefer - Yukino or Aoi?
OK its not mine but is the new daughter of talented illustrator and doll seamstress Chun. Looking forward to seeing some gorgeous outfits for Yukino!

On a related note, when buying dolls in Japan, they don't refer to it as "Kau" [買う] (buying) but as "Omukae" [お迎え] meaning to greet or welcome.

And when selling a doll, they don't refer to it as "Uru" [売る] (sell) but as Sato Oya Boshu [里親募集] which means to look for a new foster parent.

Original text from chun below.
So happy I didn't have to wait till next year for her arrival :P A little more about her at my dolly blog :D Okie gotta go start to prep the feast for the family party tonite ^^; (running late oops) Laters all!

I'm still afaid of dolls their eyes just look so...look so.... look so.... soul sucking.^^;
Anyways I'm sorry about my Nedoroid posts. Did I do something wrong? I posted it right before I went to bed and when I woke up I couldn't find it. I re-posted it and all was well, there was comments and every thing but then the next day it was gone again. I gave up on it and I wanted to post the news of the Funimation License of Soul Eater, but I can't upload now. I'm sorry if I did something wrong. I just want to know what it was or if its just a mistake.

I left a note for you in the comments asking you to at least post a picture of a nendoroid but you posted a pic of a question mark twice!
Your uploading jedi powers will return as soon as you have read this.

He left it in the first one. I can suggest you put in a blank faced nendoroid from Nendoroid Rin or Miku if you still want to make that post. Similar to this pic: http://www.goodsmile.info/detail/eng/262/Nendoroid+Rin+Kagamine.html

I am still right there with you in the "dolls freak me out" department. I like going to sleep without the fear of waking up to a homicidal doll come to life or something like that.

The things I really don't like about the dolfies (other than the cost and the looks) are that it must cost money for the clothes. It's basically a bigger barbie doll. I don't find doing the hair and dressing barbies fun, and I don't find it fun for dolfies. But Aoi is better than Yukino hands down.

So they don't use normal 買う and 売る when referring to dolls? That's nice, isn't it? It's somewhat heartwarming, the way they put it. You also don't say that you sell your daughter, for example.
And what happens when they sold out some doll? They don't say 売り切り, right?

Congrats Chun!
Both dolls are adorable. But i voted for Yukino since her optical eyes are more anime like. The other eyes could have been a little bigger though. :D

Yukino's hair reminds me of Narusegawa from love hina.
