While Konami are good at making games, their figures are of the Do-Not-Want variety - full review at Akiba Hobby. Poor Otoha. BTW, where does that term "Do Not Want" come from?
hmmmm should improve there plastic models. overall they are at least a bit better then those people who messed up the haruhi and luckystar figure
I believe this may answer your question, good sir... http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/Do_not_want
also, this may be both relevant to your interests, and this post:
just a question. is encyclopediadramatica's content 18+? I freaked out a little when i clicked on a wrong link... *furious brainscrubbing sounds*
@ radical anime fan Yeah, there's a lot of 18+ content there.
wow, its so scary - she is full of holes and screws.
Seconded... Almost like Dr. Frankenstein's creature (No offense intended).
You guys apprently never experience the G.I Joe toys era
Yes i would agree, it looked ok for the G.I joe but theres just 1 thing, THIS IS NOT G.I. JOE!!! My goodness, what have they done to poor poor otoha....
She's screwed. : Literally.
screwed indeed. LOL
Yep, screwed indeed. But as said, a lot less screwed than some other figures we've seen here recently...
what they have done to Otoha? T_T The term 'Do Not Want' was acquired from a bootleg camcorder Hong Kong subtitling of the Chinese dub of Star Wars Episode III, in which Darth Vader's much-maligned "NO!" scream is translated to Chinese and then back to English as "Do not want" here's the video capture XDD http://lurkmore.com/wiki/images/4/47/Do_not_want.jpg
Chong Mizunaga, LOL
Henry, I clicked on the link you provided, and I was sent to a live sex chat. Not entirely sure that's the right link, but I may be wrong.
The hole can be covered if the figure comes with their Sonic Diver unit. Those holes are usually used to mount additional accessories/armors as seen in other MMS series (Busou Shinki)
Aye it does look a bit 0_o but if it's like the MMS Yoko figure then you should be able to 'plug' the holes with the given plastic stubs that you get with it. Also she should have stickers and whatnot to cover the joints on the elbows/knees and such. I quickly grabbed a shot of my Yoko to show you what I mean. You can see that the screwholes are now less visable than the ones in that lass in the OP. The only holes left are for the stand, which I left in. http://pics.livejournal.com/that_figures/pic/0000wp5h/
She got screwed alot
MAJOR LOL!
http://winterson.com/2005/06/episode-iii-backstroke-of-west.html very original source where everything spawned from. i feel privilaged to have been there when he posted this... epic moment in internet history!
LOL! "He is in my behind" xD
LOL! Reminded me of the yugioh movie Hong Kong subs: http://community.livejournal.com/playthedamncard/550933.html
Wow. All those holes in Otaha's back reminds me of those old Centurions toys. (Never did have any as a kid, though.) Is this the same as the "KONAMI Figure Collection SKYGIRLS" line-up? The accessors/weapons are compatible with Busou Shinki figures..but the Skygirls figures themselves, look fixed-pose. Either way, since I like being able to pose my figures, the articulation points don't bother me so much. T
She's more "Action Figure" than figure. To me she looks more like a play thing for my lil' nephews. If that is what they were going for great, should get plenty of play hours worth from her. But if it's supposed to be more "figure" they totally missed the mark.
I agree.. It does look more "action figure" than "figure".. Reminds me a little of an old Kamen Rider action figure I used to have ^^;
I prefer figures to look good, never mind poseability. Digression:With all those screws you'd think she'd at least have an expression of pain. This proves that Sonic Diver pilots > MS pilots :D
DO NOT WANT! >.<
am i the first one to say this in here? ('~')
OMG! That's just wrong! It looke like she gained some fat in the face but lost some in the legs and don't you get me started with the eyes...
Can't they just make nice 1/8th scale figures of the Sky Girls team? That'd be nice. Or at least sort out the jointed figures, give them a matt paint job or something... Shiney paint just looks cheaper... My articulated Balthier-kun has matt paintwork and looks SOOOOO good for it lol.
Oh no, I ordered all five of them. =(
reminds me of the exoframe from the old 80's cartoon series, The Centurions.
Am I the only one who isn't bothered by those screws? >< I like to play with my toys ^^ Looks are for PVC figures. I just hope mine won't be flimsy >_> Konami fails at non flimsy mms..T_T
it's an MMS (multi movable system) . i have one, it's busou shinki. MMS-tiger type. Tigris
