What do Japanese folks do on new years eve then? Many spend it at home with family eating and watching new-years-eve TV and then head out to the shrines to receive blessings of good fortune for the following year. We will leave here at about 11:15PM for the nearest shrine and flock with thousands of others from the neighborhood. This is what it was like last year. Photo of our new years eve dinner - wonton, Alaska crab with garlic butter. Yum. What are you doing this new years eve?
My sister and I will be at the Asakusa shrine so we won't get to see you :( Enjoy the festivities though!
I shouldn't have looked at the picture! Now I'm hungry again DX My family usually celebrates the New Year with a feast. Right now my mom is cooking wanton noodle soup, steamed fish and shrimp to be consumed later. We don't light fireworks like how most Filipinos do during the New Year. I like to keep the fingers on my hands complete LOL x_x My neighbors seem to have bought some fireworks. I like how it lights up the sky. Too bad it's kinda drizzling now -_-
BTW Happy New Year to you Mr Danny! x_x

Fireworks at the London Eye~ Wai~ So cold~
HAPPY NEW YEAR DANNY!!! It's a tradition here to have a new year eve feast which called a Medya Noche. We also follow Chinese beliefs like for example having 13 kinds of fruits served before the new year so that when the new year comes, you'll have prosperity and good fortune throughout the new year.
Heading over to the family in a bit for a gourmet dinner party, probably some New Year's Eve tv and at midnight toasts to the new year and watching fireworks. ^^
Watching other people blow their money away on fireworks. Have a nice view of it from my house top floor.

This folk: Hiroshi won't be this New Year Party at the AICM (International Airport of Mexico City) anymore, because he's living in Oyuki's House in Mexico City.... O___o But the lady (Oyuki) is married, but her husband isn't in the house, he's working in Japan... O___o OMG! Great news for Hiroshi! (I think ^__^) Read more ---> and sorry for the Engrish! http://www.eykaus.com/2008/12/no-estaba-muerto-andaba-con-oyuki.html
Seems New Years aren't much different from anywhere else. I need an excitement this year, something new, something original, something that will be fun.
あけましておめでとうございます。 Still New Year's Eve here. I'm trying to stay warm. I actually have to do some more cleaning up and I have to buy a month transit pass later today. (I so should try to drive less, which is why I'm getting a month pass.) I will not stay up for the celebration because I have leave early (6) for work and a few other places.
Having dinner at a family friend's place. Will most likely be playing cards until next year.
I was planning on finishing Zeta Gundam at home tonight, but my friend called randomly this morning. Now I'm apparently going to the Countdown and fireworks downtown. :P
The King Crab legs bring back memories of me living in Kodiak, Alaska. My Dad used to catch them at a dock. yummmmm
I'll be doing the traditional rotting in front of the computer on New Years Eve :3. Happy New Year Danny and fellow members ^^!
I ate hot but the day before, I really feal fat right now cause of Christmas(25), birthday (26), 1 Whole steak (27), Massive burrito + movie food (28), Massive catfish (29), hot pot (30) and I have not gotten any excerise
Will be out for dinner with family. Then go home and watch all them fireworks and etc. =w=''
I will be attending a church mass(Catholic) and head to my friend's house for a New Year's Eve party. It's kind of refreshing since I've been in Japan for past two winters. I would stay with my friend from Osaka in Tokyo to attend Comiket and my friend can borrow a room for free in Tokyo thru his scholarship program from his university. We would buy some beers and snacks to munch on and watch the Red-White Song Competition on TV and congratulate on successful completion of Comic Market and wish Happy New Years to come. Hope everyone have awesome New Year's Eve and Happy New Years to all of you :)
Crab legs would be awesome, but probably doing the pot-luck thing at my church. Nobody brings crab legs for pot-luck.
wonton looks soooooooooo YUM :D:D Happy New Year Danny and Waifu and Mirai folks ^O^
I think it is awesome how in almost all of your photos, you have an anime figure. You have an amazing collection!
I think it is awesome how in almost all of your photos, you have an anime figure. You have an amazing collection!
We'll just end up watching tv for the ball to drop in NY. Nothing interesting happening this year.
Happy New Year everyone! As for me, I will probably be doing nothing. No shrines here, doubt my friends wanna hang-out and my family is out as always. ~_~;
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! I am about to head out to my cousin's house, my entire family on my father's side is flocking there to chow down and bring in the new year. Have a good one guys! See you in 2009!
I am going to get wasted tonight.
Happy New Year~ Spent the new year at Yokohama's "biggest clock in the world" with some friends, made for a great evening. ^^
What a coincidence.. i'm having Wonton's too tonight ..err New Years Eve that is ^^
Just gonna stay home watch the ball drop in New York and drink some grape juice from a wine shaped bottle...
all i did was read some manga and go to sleep.
That looks like a big crab!
was working till past 7pm in the office, then it was off to a food court across the street for NYE dinner for one.
In Spain, it's a tradition eating 12 grapes on new year's eve, one after each of the last 12 chimes of the year. They also say you have to wish something while you do it, but eating the grapes at a so fast rate is already a challenge, you know xd
HEYYYYYY i got those same scissors.....
Not too eventful my New Years Eve. Just went to my Cousins house and threw some bombs and played games.
