Agreed. Just like when you girl has sexy clothes on.. its the unknown, what you cant see that is sexy. Thats why almost pantsu shots will be sexier than showing it full on.
There are two famous art pieces that represent well this question. I don't recall the right name and searching on google was fruitless because of the pop artist with same name, but there are two pictures almost twins, I belive in the Louvre (someone with more information is welcome to correct me) called Madona Desnuda and Madona Vestida. One is naked, and another sexy dressed, the idea is to see first the dressed and imagine the next one. Now guess witch one is more famous? :)

You forgot the on number 2... (or maybe the encoding cut it off) Anyways, I like when you can't see them... or barely can't. I already dislike pantsu anime such as Aika and Najika. And I have no particular preference to explicit borderline animes such as Ikkitousen or Tenjou Tenge (though I liked parts of the latter). But I do like the ocasional fanservice... more like a Zero no Tsukaima thing. It doesn't happen a lot, and when it happens it's OOPS, by accident. I think it's also related to personality. I'm more a tsundere guy myself than a tomboy-ish pervert character type.

Sometimes I prefer can totally see pantsu but other times I prefer just about see pantsu, depending on which girls we're talking about I guess, like, if it's Kokonoe Rin, I totally prefer to see her pantsu completely, if it's Horo, I prefer to just about see her pantsu. It's the vibes they give I guess..

I prefer both..here's why: In Anime: I prefer the "can totally see it" option. In Real life: I prefer the "almost can see it" as it leaves room for imagination and most of the time the pantsu isn't tat nice...so....^_^;

It really depends on the pantsu and the girl its on. For some odd reason the personality comes into play so I'd rather not be able to see the pantsu of the girl if she's the more innocent type and whatever on the reverse side.
