Figma Mirai Meets Augmented Reality

(Figures(92)
Wed 2008/12/24 10:11
At last - we get to really play around with Figma Mirai. Well kind of.

Original text from Ionized below.
If you're sadden by the fact that Figma Mirai is nothing more than an illusion, or if you've heard about the release of Dennou Figure ARis about a couple of months ago but couldn't bear to part with 9,800 yen, here's your chance to have some fun with a virtual figure.
The application is called ARmirai and you can download it from my blog. Probably the closest you can get to owning a Figma Mirai for the time being. Sorry about the poor camera quality.

Good point. Danny uses mac. I should really figure out how to get this working in OSX. I bet he would like that =D

looks interesting. I will take a look to see if I can get this stuff working. I would need to reboot into windows though, which I rarely do. Maybe I will try to get it working on OSX. It looks like you only used cross platform software to do this, so I guess it's possible. I will need to compile it myself though but I'm used to compilers so it shouldn't take too long to do that ^^

I will let you know of any results, but it will likely take a few days. Now there is Christmas and family visits and stuff, which takes priority.

If I got the talent and extra figma to make a custom Mirai or another character I do it a heartbeat. To bad you can't molest..err...I mean pose and interact with Mirai in the virtual device.
