The Japanese media praises Bush for his ninja lightning reflexes for dodging the shoe of death. I was impressed too. But am more impressed with the Bush gifs going around the Internets which you can see at Dumpert via Boing Boing. News via Japan Probe.
in my opinion, I believe that Bush is the least respected president in U.S. history.
Same here. Now, we'll no longer have to worry about him anymore. Expect a better future, thanks to Obama.
He could be worse for all you know. He says some stuff doesn't mean he has to follow through with them though.
Yep. Words are easier than actions. Well now I believe Bush has a pretty high dodge rating...
maybe he was expecting the shoes
Well from the recent bidding scandal that is tied to Obama not to mention people already beginning to hate him even more before he even reaches office, I think we're going to have one hell of a ride for the next 4 years.
I'm going to miss the entertainment Bush has provided for all these years :( He may not be the best world leader, but he certainly is the funniest.
Yep. The Decider will be sorely missed.
You people have obviously never heard of John Cretien. He has been hit in the face with a pie, has strangled a man while walking down a street and has the greatest voice ever.
I've heard of him buy I've never seen it...care to post a link on youtube? And I think Bush did a fine job...after all...it was either Bush or Al Gore. I don't think you wanted your country to be an Inconvenient Truth right?
Seriously remove your Guy Fawkes mask from your avatar if you honestly believe in Obama. There is a philosophy behind that mask and you are totally disrespecting it.
I hear dat. I don't think any SANE person in the UK took that guy seriously....
It's not an opinion. It's a fact that his approval rating is down the drain.
yep, much like our so-called president here....
second to that. Really greedy.
Well, it depends. For example, when Abraham Lincoln was president, very few people liked him and his popularity was pretty low too.
Not to mention Hoover, Nixon, and Carter. ^^; They all took a lot of heat too.
But the thing is that many political historians, historians, and others are saying that Richard Nixon was a better President than him. And before then, he was known as the worst President the country ever had.
the problem is that i hope in the future they don't pin bush as a "good" president. For all we know the people who liked him could be the ones who right the history books and make him look like a hero... We just have to hope that they see him for what he really was...
Many things are clouded in hindsight and other things made clearer. We won't know the full effects of Bush's tenure good or bad until perhaps thirty or forty years later when we can look back at the effects of his actions. Things like the War on Terror or the Iraq War will have complex repercussions which may be supported or condemned when we have a chance to see later on.
mu thoughts exactly. Well but it's very bias nice it's my generation he's screwing up. Probably those of a future ones wouldn't really realize it since they're not living in our time.
yup agreed
regardless of his declining popularity, bear in mind that the americans voted this guy for a second term, even after the afghanistan and iraq invasion. so as much as most americans would see the comedic side of this, flash games notwithstanding, it's a direct insult to the american people and the democratic process that has voted him not once, but twice into office.
Grant called, he wants his title back.
Bush is a former president, while Obama is now the new president of U.S. I don't expect new about Bush, but this one is hilarious hehe... Obama, well let see...about a year? if he can change the world...XD it reminds me of L "You alone cannot change the world..." lol
And yet american's voted for him twice in a row...
Bush's a quick one
True. But Cheney would have revealed that he is actually a Mobile Suit (maybe a Zaku) and shoot the person with a beam cannon.
Now THAT would be news worthy!
You mean his bazooka with an exploding round right?
hahahah i was watching that stuff live XD i was like "damn Bush got some Matrix skillz"
saw this on news yesterday... was shocked and loled...
Couldn't stop laughing when I saw this the other day. Shame that he missed...TWICE, he was so close too.
haha I was thinking the same thing! "damn it, he almost got him!"
just a little bit more on his second shot...........
it's the result of hard training from all the shoes he gets in the face in the past
it would have been win if he didn't miss him, it's cause he yelled something first, should have thrown the show then yelled.
more win if bush threw a shoe back at him. shoefight!!!
He should have thrown both of his shoes by using the first one as a red hering and the second one to hit him while Mr. Bush tries to dodge the first shoe. :)
He did throw both of his shoes, though...
i guess if he watched spiral and copied what eyes rutherford did, he will only need 1 shoe to hit em
that dodge was pro sauce. if it were aso, he would of shot it out of the air.
Wonder if this is inside one of US President's 101 training manuals. Chapter 53b - how to avoid shoes - especially those worn without socks for days in the desert.
I saw this and busted out laughing. Didn't surprise me at all though.
Same here. Digg.com had great comments about it too which added even more to it (especially the lame puns like (Reports indicate that the journalist was the sole attacker.") But I am surprised the secret service came out after two shoes were thrown and not just one. If that was a gun and the first missed...
haha, could couldn't stop laughing... i guest if Bush can dodge if i fire him with sniper rifle... hehe.. ~Be Kawaii~
oh boy, the parodies of this going to spread like wildfire when i first heard of the incident, i had to involuntary laugh myself
Before he threw the shoe, the guy said; "This is a goodbye kiss from the Iraqi people, dog" and later on Bush goes on to comment; "All I can report is it is a size 10" and "I didn't know what the guy said, but I saw his sole" XD Great man, horrible president.
Agreed... ^^
I agree. Bush isn't a bad guy, it's his administration. And they couldn't do squat without Congress, hmm who was it who voted to go to war. The President cannot declare war. People should stop roasting the puppet.
Exactly. That's one reason why during the races presidential runners tried to distance themselves by saying that they didn't vote for the war in Iraq. By doing that they sort of get that boost from the American people seeing as the war itself is seen very poorly.
Agreed. I'm celebrating the end of his term, but if you think about all the crap he's had to deal with...seriously, it's amazing that he's able to smile at all. I seriously admire his resilience and strength as a person.
Haha I guess he has a future in being a stand up comedian after his presidency. In case his jokes suck too bad and people chick things at him, his ninja reflexes will allow him to dodge lol.
i guess this will pop in failblog being bushWin for dodging. i wonder how would bush look like getting a shoe full in his face. rofl
hahahahaha guess there is something about Bush I like about! His a NINJA!!!
Considering his long history of failing even before his presidency, he's probably had a lot of practice dodging thrown objects...
My mother showed me the video of this yesterday and i can't stop laughing after seeing it XD
hahaha.... a great dodge.
I talked about this for an instant on the puchi blurbs. not sure if anyone else noticed though. But yeah, my parents praised his ninja dodging skills too
Lol u guys just have to see the gifs some people have made, they are hilarious, I like the pokeball one XD http://ia310818.us.archive.org/3/items/Shoe-tosserGuyGif2/iraqimage002.gif
Whoaaaa... thats some fast moving lol.
Wheres the Secret Service man who is suppose to take the shoe for Bush?!? And you expect them to take a bullet when they won't even take a shoe for the man.
No one could take a bullet for another when they're off to the side. They don't just magically appear in front of the president the split second something happens.
that may be true for the 1st shoe but what about the 2nd??
True. That would have been funny to see someone dive across the room and take a shoe to the chest.
funny could have sworn i have seen that scene in every secret service movie.
W - the president with mad shoe dodging skills. http://www.ridiculopathy.com/crappy_flash_games.php?gamename=bushoes
HOLY CRAP THAT IS HILARIOUS
Thanks for sharing. >_<
LMAO, I like the expression on Dubya's face when he got hit.
hahaha saw this on youtube the other day and i laughed my ass off. .. to think that the president the supposed most respected man would get not one but TWO shoes thrown at him.... he is really disliked >_< but you got to give the man some props he moved lightning fast xD like from the matrix dude lol
Extremely disgusted with that man's behavior. I dislike Bush (to say the least) but that is just downright disrespectful.
It's a customary way of showing disapproval in Iraq, though... ^^;
Well invading somebody's country is very disrespectful too
His not the first president/prime minister/emperor/king/queen/whatever person to invade another country. Things like this happen as long as countries are divided.
what's that supposed to mean that the guy was wrong for doing what he did ?? well i don't really think you'll enjoy it if it was your country you wouldn't just be all " well things like that happens " yes things like that do happen but that doesn't mean its right or acceptable
the man that throw the shoe have some broken bone in the chest from uss
I believe its broken arm and head injury, someone's been whacking him with a rifle butt
I have new respect for Bush for dodging those shoes! LOL XD
Hang in there Bush, only about 5 weeks before you leave office.
lol still funny after watching it ten times, we need a good mash up of this with that scene from Austin Powers; who throws a shoe.... honestly.. you fight like a women lol
Those shoes I heard were selling @ 10mil on ebay.
I believe the guy who threw the shoe is amazing. He manages to throw both shows at the exact location at where bush was. That is what I call accuracy and precision.
Y'know, I didn't even think of that. Good point. And @Robostrike: somehow I'm not surprised. ^^;
Precision only. Accuracy would have been if he hit him.
Nah he was accurate he aimed for the face and it went there, just that he failed because he didn't use the latest shoe throwing technology, he needs some heat seeking shoes.
It's no surprise really, the guy does nothing but exercise in his personal gym every morning.
Wut. That reminds me of a very funny minigame in miniclip.com. I think it was called Bush Workout or something XD
I wonder if he get stuff thrown at him a lot! lol
Good reflex alright... It's funny how the BBC repeats the footage three times in a single clip on their site - the last time in slow motion. LOL at the Pokeball GIF XD
This is just epic.
If that was Sadam, the reporter would not have lived 24hrs later.
he would not have lived 24 seconds later.
+1 Agility for being on podium.
Take a look at the following different animated version of bush dodging the shoe: http://boingboing.net/2008/12/15/iraq-shoe-tosser-guy.html
ROFL
nice fine, I LOL so hard in office ^^;
ROFL That is totaly epic!!! Presidential lame duck Ninja FTW.
No wonder why his speeches are always bad, he's always on the look-out for flying shoes! :P
The best part is that it looks like Bush is smiling as/after the shoe is thrown, like, "Haha! You missed and now my Secret Service guys are gonna kick your ass!" Epic dodge though.
What, he dodged the shoe once, but twice! I guess we can't mess him around even he's no longer president next year.
LMAO XD Another fun day indeed, thanks to this. XD
I liked Maliki's reaction or lack thereof. haha. I agree with other posters, won't miss Bush the bad President but will miss Bush the comedy genius.
Bush is a ninja in disguise? He would totally win our school's dodgeball games.
Clearly this isn't the first time he's dodged an object that's been thrown at him. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that happens to him on a frequent basis. I don't think there's a soul on this earth that actually takes that man seriously.
Hahaha I beat the secret service train Bush to dodge shoe and other stuff
Not bad for a guy at ~62(?)...I LMAO but I gotta say it's not that surprising someone wanted to do that...
he he.. ninja bush.. heard of this.. but first time seeing it.. good reflexes aparently it is a big insult to throw a shoe at somebody.. and apparently he's been planning it for awhile.. wonder how much jail time the reporter is going to get... it is a felony here.. with a 5 year prison sentince for asaulting the prez.. true.. on him... in keeping us safe..i give him an A.. us policy.. a D.. a good guy, heart in the right place,, but a few f#$% up polices.. Obama won't do any better... much worse i'm thinking... hopefully not bad enough for prez Palin to clean up in 4 years :D
Gotta give it to the guy's aimming skills too... dunno if I could aim shoes that well. They only missed because Bush dodged them! xD
I couldn't help but laugh when I saw that footage on the news. I know I shouldn't, but damn that was funny.
Haha they actually staged a reenactment of what happened for the report? Also the gifs were hilarious XD
Hahaha this jornalist is a hero!
This is the only good thing that I remember about Bush. I gotta say, that's one impressive lightning reflexes there, Mr. President. Maybe he owns a Nintendo Wii? You could almost see his stats: STRENGTH - 18 INTELLIGENCE - -9000 AGILITY - 150 DODGE% - 95%
Nobody thought it strange that the secret service didn't jump on the guy when he stood up out of turn? Or maybe after the first shoe? But yeah, they took their dear sweet time getting out there to tackle the guy. Which leads me to wonder whether they're getting lazy, or it was a staged incident for publicity. Whatever the case, I hope the service cracks down on security from now on. I suppose the good thing to come out of this incident is that we now know the answer to the age old hypothetical question: If you could choose from any of the past US presidents, which would you choose for your dodge ball team? XD
Other then his Ninja-like reflexes...I was surprised it took so long for the Secret Service to finally jump in. The Iraqi reporter in the front did their job that day. They lucked out the guy did not have anything else on him other then his shoes. The President should have bought him dinner or something for helping him with the shoe throwing guy.
Bush mastered ninjitsu while in Presidency ^o^
Agility over 9000.
next up: Japan invents face-seeking shoes. D:
Is it really sad that he's the president of my own country, and I didn't hear about these shoes being hurled at him until I read/watched it on Japanese News?
Possibly. It's been plastered all over the news. I can't even walk into a Starbucks without hearing about it...
All he needs is a GN Field now.
Now I want to see Prime minister Vladimir Putin Judo face off against Bush's ninjitsu! XD
wow lots of people had a lot of shoe dodging ideas huh? LOL i've been seeing that vdo every ten seconds online and on tv and mockeries of it since it happened. Gotta give it to bush, his ninjutsu skills are nasty even if his presidency skills... not so much. *cough* but that's not my opinion ask the american ppl. LOL
jajaja nixon > bush
Wow, Bush has some nice evasive skills! I think he'd be great at acting as Neo from Matrix...
Special Attack: Shoe Missile, Bush dodges! XD
Random Audience use Shoes Attack on Bush. Random Audience's attack missed.
Meh... this wasn't that funny. Shoes? C'mon! He should've thrown a dictionary at him, now that would've been hilarious!
Lol~ I love the pokeball one xD But that was some serious dodging, must be all that political experience hurhur~
Can you imagine it actually hit Bush in the head twice?... haha Now that would be a different story wouldnt it?!
I did a diorama about this with my figures <A href="http://testicular-fortitude.blogspot.com/2008/12/16-kitbash-shoe-throwing-journalist.html">here</a> and <A href="http://testicular-fortitude.blogspot.com/2008/12/16-kitbash-muntadar-al-zeidi.html">here</a>.
Sorry, links should be: http://testicular-fortitude.blogspot.com/2008/12/16-kitbash-shoe-throwing-journalist.html http://testicular-fortitude.blogspot.com/2008/12/16-kitbash-muntadar-al-zeidi.html
If he was going to try to hurt Bush, he could have tried a camera or something which was heavier...Alas, he resorted to shoes...
the sole of a shoe = the dirtiest thing/the most insulting thing to throw at in Iraq. Might as well take off your glove and slap them, eh?
rou you could have taken of your glove, put your camera in it and slap bush with it
I like Bush. What are you guys talkin about again?
for DnD people > that journalist must have a crappy attack bonus to roll the die and miss an AC 10-14. The first one was a surprise round too! for Gundam people> it's been confirmed. Bush is a NT http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/7513/ntbusheh2.gif
Be glad that America didn't built a MS with built-in Psycoframe. "Ike! Fin Faneru!"
Bush got 99 AGI and 99 DEX
Are you calculating based on Ragnarok Online's Math?
shouldn't it be 99Agi and 99Luk if s/he was?
>The Japanese media praises Bush for his ninja lightning reflexes for dodging the shoe of death Yeah, that was hilarious, I think even for Bush himself, he seems so amused. I think the guy chose the wrong way to try and insult Bush. I mean throwing one's shoes doesn't mean really anything in the western culture. And dogs are rather loved here too.
Yeah I agree with you Harts about the shoe thing, I mean this totally backfired on his ass. Not only did he not hit Bush but he ended up making him popular throughout the world for his Ninja abilities. The only good that came of this is that now we all know of Bush's secret ninjitsu techniques, we must all be vigilante for he may creep up on us anytime.
Since Bush planning enter the election for the first time, he know someone eventualy will try to murder/hurt him, so he set all of his skill point into 99 AGI and 99 DEX. With another addintional from equippment and cards, he will gain 75% perfect dodge. WTH I'm talking about.... XD
The shoe throwing guy is now a hero in the arab world and i think he is hero indeed and it doesn't matter which culture we're talking about getting a shoe thrown at you doesn't mean that the person who did it likes you that much now does it
Yeah, his dodging skills are pretty impressive. Nice reflexes, although the guy had really bad aim. I mean, you could see the journalist wind up pretty obviously, so Bush knew to dodge. If he really wanted to hit someone, the journalist should have gone for the body shot x 2 instead of a headshot.
or, body shot and then head shot while he was dazed lol. I am a fan of this video but I think the shoe attacker could have stepped his game up a little... Shoes just seem kinda novice.
jeez, you know what, usually, at the first wrong move in the audience, hundreds of bodyguards are supposed to jump on the president to cover him here, George Bush was able to make his speech, analyze the scene, watch every single move of every person in the room, and dodge the shoe He has waited 8 years of presidency to hide his secret George is a TRUE SHINOBI and deserves respect !!!! I was really impressed is he mastering his mega flow of chakra or is he an innovator ? does he have Trans-AM inside ??? or is he.... a JEDI ????
G.Bush...Watch that yesterday on TV..kinda funny of this least respected president.. I 1st time watch his face already know this character is E**********
BUSH is cool
epic win throw your shoes at bush =D
Bush got some ninja moves.
lol i quite liked the pokeball one
It's amazing how society has the liberal minds of Generation Y completely brainwashed to the point where everyone under 30 hates George Bush but can't tell you the reason without looking up what others say about it online. I'm convinced the Democrats made use of this in getting Obama elected.
I lolled, It might have more to do with mistakes that the man made then brainwashing by liberals... P.s. I shat bricks when I noticed the link to dumpert, the Dutch video dump of shocklog geenstijl.
Obama do use the internet & the media to his advantage to succeed in his election.
So did Mcain. Look American politicians have always been the most silly one to begin with. I was actually somewhat impressed that Obama threw less dirt at the republicans then the republicans did at him.
Any politician would be rather silly if they didn't use whatever means available to try and gain an advantage in an election race.
a lot of people over 30 don't like George either, and I don't think brainwashing had anything to do with it. If the under 30's need to look up other's points of view online then perhaps that's a good thing. Perhaps then they can gather enough information to really form their own opinion, as you certainly don't get any diversity in opinion from the mainstream media. Me, I think the man is a dill - but I don't hate him - I just hate what he and his cronies stand for. I hope Obama does a better job (it won't be hard to do that), but time will tell...
Wow..Maybe the whole president thing was a cover,he's actually secretly in training as a Ninja haha.
There's an old saying in Tennessee... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ux3DKxxFoM
I maxed out his mobility.
woohoo~ for ninja reflexes!!!
I first saw a animated GIF of the incident on Playstation forums and I thought I happened a long time ago >_>; I have to admit, it is good reflexes upon seeing a projectile being aimed at. If it was me in the course the of the shoe, I'd probably be kissing the sole of the bloke and then he'll be dead by choking on his own shoe. Shame that he didn't throw more nasty stuff like babooms droppings. lol
Woah, that is some reflexes. There was one time when I bee almost stung my chick (1 cm more) but I avoided it..lol.. And that wasn't the only time I got lucky xD
Loving the action replay haha... Guy throws shoe...shit I missed...wait I have another shoe! And how the japanese like re acted the whole thing and analysed it XD
wow, his kung fu is good! :D
He only has those reflexes because he's a robot puppet that the NSA controls via remote.
After all the fancy display this man do in the world, the lest we can do to show our gratitude is throw him shoes...
Haha, that's hilarious. Maybe Bush was expecting this someday and started training for this.
Bush, obama, doesnt matter. There all politicians and all have skeletons in the closet. Im not knocking Obama, but he does come from Chicago which Illinois right now is in a spiral downward with all the shady politicians. The most corrupt state by far.
man that vid just made my day
That man has good reflexes. Although I could have done the same. As for the other guy, he has guts.
Hahahaha....doesn't know that Bush has such awesome ninjutsu in dodging...that smile just give me a sense of 'hahaha...i'm just too good'
At least now his is amitting that the US is in a resesion and has done one go thing; helping to push congress for the money needed for the big three auto-makers. I live in Michgan ans the jobs aroud here will be affected greatly.
Gah! He's been buying his Speedwings!
Too bad the guy missed and still gets the beating of a lifetime, no thanks to the worlds worst president either.
By the way, by comparison are the Japanese youth or older at all involved in serious political actions similar to that of American youth?
Its a good thing Bush spent his attribute points in Dexterity instead of Charisma and inteligence like most world leaders.
the doods in the suits probably took him out back and beat him with slippers LOL
