Japan and Bush

The Japanese media praises Bush for his ninja lightning reflexes for dodging the shoe of death. I was impressed too.
But am more impressed with the Bush gifs going around the Internets which you can see at Dumpert via Boing Boing.
News via Japan Probe.

the problem is that i hope in the future they don't pin bush as a "good" president. For all we know the people who liked him could be the ones who right the history books and make him look like a hero... We just have to hope that they see him for what he really was...

Many things are clouded in hindsight and other things made clearer. We won't know the full effects of Bush's tenure good or bad until perhaps thirty or forty years later when we can look back at the effects of his actions. Things like the War on Terror or the Iraq War will have complex repercussions which may be supported or condemned when we have a chance to see later on.

regardless of his declining popularity, bear in mind that the americans voted this guy for a second term, even after the afghanistan and iraq invasion.
so as much as most americans would see the comedic side of this, flash games notwithstanding, it's a direct insult to the american people and the democratic process that has voted him not once, but twice into office.

Before he threw the shoe, the guy said; "This is a goodbye kiss from the Iraqi people, dog"
and later on Bush goes on to comment; "All I can report is it is a size 10" and "I didn't know what the guy said, but I saw his sole"

XD

Great man, horrible president.

Exactly.

That's one reason why during the races presidential runners tried to distance themselves by saying that they didn't vote for the war in Iraq. By doing that they sort of get that boost from the American people seeing as the war itself is seen very poorly.

Nah he was accurate he aimed for the face and it went there, just that he failed because he didn't use the latest shoe throwing technology, he needs some heat seeking shoes.

Nobody thought it strange that the secret service didn't jump on the guy when he stood up out of turn? Or maybe after the first shoe? But yeah, they took their dear sweet time getting out there to tackle the guy. Which leads me to wonder whether they're getting lazy, or it was a staged incident for publicity. Whatever the case, I hope the service cracks down on security from now on. I suppose the good thing to come out of this incident is that we now know the answer to the age old hypothetical question: If you could choose from any of the past US presidents, which would you choose for your dodge ball team? XD

Other then his Ninja-like reflexes...I was surprised it took so long for the Secret Service to finally jump in. The Iraqi reporter in the front did their job that day. They lucked out the guy did not have anything else on him other then his shoes. The President should have bought him dinner or something for helping him with the shoe throwing guy.

Yeah, his dodging skills are pretty impressive. Nice reflexes, although the guy had really bad aim. I mean, you could see the journalist wind up pretty obviously, so Bush knew to dodge. If he really wanted to hit someone, the journalist should have gone for the body shot x 2 instead of a headshot.

here, George Bush was able to make his speech, analyze the scene, watch every single move of every person in the room, and dodge the shoe

He has waited 8 years of presidency to hide his secret

It's amazing how society has the liberal minds of Generation Y completely brainwashed to the point where everyone under 30 hates George Bush but can't tell you the reason without looking up what others say about it online. I'm convinced the Democrats made use of this in getting Obama elected.

a lot of people over 30 don't like George either, and I don't think brainwashing had anything to do with it. If the under 30's need to look up other's points of view online then perhaps that's a good thing. Perhaps then they can gather enough information to really form their own opinion, as you certainly don't get any diversity in opinion from the mainstream media.

Me, I think the man is a dill - but I don't hate him - I just hate what he and his cronies stand for. I hope Obama does a better job (it won't be hard to do that), but time will tell...

I first saw a animated GIF of the incident on Playstation forums and I thought I happened a long time ago >_>;

I have to admit, it is good reflexes upon seeing a projectile being aimed at. If it was me in the course the of the shoe, I'd probably be kissing the sole of the bloke and then he'll be dead by choking on his own shoe.

Shame that he didn't throw more nasty stuff like babooms droppings. lol

Bush, obama, doesnt matter. There all politicians and all have skeletons in the closet. Im not knocking Obama, but he does come from Chicago which Illinois right now is in a spiral downward with all the shady politicians. The most corrupt state by far.
