I realize that I eat more Ramen in the Winter and think thats probably because I unconsciously want to head for something warm as I step outside ^^; How often do you eat noodles/ramen?
Well they say its the only food for college people and I do love my ramen, so I'd say six out of seven days a week.
Never did ramen during college, but I was a "bread in toaster with Oscar Mayer deli meat" person. I tend to eat ramen during the cold winter months.
6 days out of the week?! ...is your blood pressure ok? ^^;; I thought i was bad at once a week ^^;; 'course if i lived near a ramen place i might start eating more... i get tired of the instant stuff sometimes but don't think i'll ever get enough of the ramen from the places i go in japantown ^_^
Its good stuff ^_^; Though I should lay off once in a while, but then again....nooooodles :P
My answer would be too often haha... But I wouldn't say 6/7 3/7 but still pretty bad... ^_^
Wait, you forgot pizza? Pizza+ramen(+beer) is the official college food.
Same here. I usually eat Sapporo Ichiban ramen everyday for breakfast or brunch. Also eat it whenever it rains or gets a bit chilly here (though the I think the coldest SD has ever been is 48*F).
heeh that looks so tasty i love ramen :3 i eat it umm like at least once every weeks ^^
I eat noodles 4 or 5 times a week, but usually only one of those will be ramen. The rest will be various other Japanese noodle dishes with prawns, chicken, and tofu. Japanese food is great but it's still a little tricky finding some of the ingredients unfortunately without ordering online. Also, what is it with the size of prawns you get with tempura in Japan? Those things are HUGE (and very tasty). In the UK the prawns aren't even 1/4 of the size and nowhere near as nice to eat.
Hardly ever. I do seem to eat less sushi tho when its cold outside.
Havn't had a chance to have any good ramen because of finals >.<
Real Ramen doesn't exist in the states so I'd say never. When I lived in Japan though I had it almost every day in the winter.
Except when you go to those Japanese restaurants where the chef just immigrated three years ago.
That ramen in the picture looks so tasty. I can only eat cup ramen. Real ramen is nowhere around here. But well, I have cup ramen about once every two weeks.
I seldom eat ramen. Cos I don't have em at home and I seldom head out.. Even if I do, my budget doesn't allow me to do so... I eat a lot of bihun at home though - quick and easy ^^;
This news item makes me hungry... I eat noodles also all the time when I'm outside...not at home. Seem to chose it over rice and fast food. Think its because of the soup and usually warms you up.
That ramen looks yum yum. Add some pepper and I'm in heaven. I have noodles almost every week. Other than rice, it's another staple diet.
By ramen I assume you mean the non-instant type right? If thats the case then rarely, maybe a couple of times a month. But hey if you include the instant type then well All the damn time!
I've never had ramen, but I'm not sure if I could eat it if it was presented to me. I'm an extremely picky eater, and it just doesn't look very good to me. >_>;
3 out of 5 times that I go out and eat noodle would be ramen. However there isn't one restaurant that has ramen that I love so much that I try to make an effort to go eat on a weekly bases.
ラーメンだあぁぁ!リーズにはちゃんとしたラーメン屋さんがないな・・・でも、昨日おいしい日本風のコロッケ作ってもらって、天国に行った^^
I eat soup in general much more frequently in the colder parts of the year. Anything from ramen to pork tea soup :) Most of my soup eating is done at home but there is one restaurant I go to for the soup. Sweet Tomatoes: http://www.souplantation.com/ should be all about the healthy salads... but for me it is about the soup :)
This looks really delicious... I'm hungry now. To be honest, I don't really have ramen at all, since the ramen here costs a bomb to have. I think I had it once, but that's about it... Unless you count the instant ones... or the coffee shops (local food outlets) as ramen... that's another case.
I do have to agree with netto, some places charge way too much for Ramen. Since it's not a stapled food of many countries. There is a Ramen placed in New York, which i ate at when i was in town for a couple of days for the New York anime convention. The placed was called Naruto Ramen which had a lunch specials that included Ramen and Gyoza for $8 dollars. It was delicious, and also i find it better to try restaurants during lunch hours because of their specials.
I've had ramen a few times this week. I do enjoy eating it, but I really should make more of an effort.
If I have no money and watching TV, I'd probably be eating noodles... Instant noodles^^;...
Is that an egg? I've never understood why the Japanese throw an egg on everything.
it's genius! ...'course i love eggs ^_^; In ramen it's a must, especially if it's a nice marinated egg that's soaked up all the broth goodness... for other cuisine... i've had a bacon egg cheeseburger and egg in a katsu curry... both were excellent ^_^
Yes
I havent tasted a good Ramen.
Instant noodles a few times per months I guess. ^_^; I miss a nice traditional bowl of ramen thought (whether Japanese or Chinese ones). ;_;
I'll be eating ramen in months to come if the weather continues as it is. Not a big soup person but i do enjoy soup/noodles more during winter.
only eat ramen when I can't go outside to buy some food such as when it's raining heavily. I live alone and can't cook >_>
not really a ramen though...instant noodles ^^
Noodles and ramen are great but oddly enough, it fails to fill me. I'd need something like a large or extra large bowl... ><
LOL, what a coincident, I just had a Tom Yam ramen at Ichiban Ramen restaurant at roughly 7pm yesterday ^^
oh gosh this bowl looks sooooooooooooo good :D~~~~ I sometimes make curry more often in cold weather ^^;
I try to get some once every 2-3 weeks, I get a craving~
I don't eat noodles very often, but in the winter I eat more hot soups too.
If I get my hands on it would eat it, but now after reading this post..... I want some now >.<
i hardly eat ramen. just instant noodles like once in three-four months. btw what are those square green things that look like paper in the bowl?
If I would live in Japan I would probably eat Ramen every second day =D
Never ate an egg in a ramen...always thought that the egg would be disgusting..but since danny posted this,it's too tempting...makes me wanna try the egg next time i eat ramen.
I enjoy ramen occasionally, but not nearly as much as I did when I was younger.
I eat it every time I remember to! ^^; I have a terrible food memory, in that I'd probably starve to death if people didn't order me to eat something. But thanks to you, I'm going to go get myself some ramen! Sadly, it's instant... -_- But I'd say that's pretty tasty all the same. ^.^ Especially with all the garlic I chuck in. :D
Ramen really helped me out on cutting costs when I was getting on a tighht budget in the last two months... Thanksfully, I am home for the hollidays so I can actually eat more than just thaqt and the occasional treat. Though now I feel like having some ramen.
I hardly ever eat noodles (and I don't even see ramen), they are hard to find here TT__TT Despite that, I have to say they are delicious :P
i have noodles once a week... and it's not instant ramen, it's real noodles! real ramen! and udon and yakisoba and a lot of chinese ones.
maybe twice every week, may it be out at restaurant or at home.
I do like once a week or so....
Instant, mostly every day, And yet I lose wieght
I've always noticed that, too. Ramen warms me up internally more than anything else, though I don't have the amount of "toppings" that you seem to have in the picture above, in my bowl. Usually just some simple beef mix or karai spices with some little veggie bits.
Haha, I JUST ate miso ramen. Yum <3
Not enough!! Once every two weeks. Since my trip to Japan, I can't seem to find good ramen here. Oh well, that's another reason to go back to the country of the rising sun faster!!! Nippon Banzai!!
I wish we had good Ramen here but all we gots is Pho. So if we are talking noodles in general, I would say about once a week do I get my fill of Noodles. mmmmm Now Im craving Ramen, yum.
I'd eat a lot if it was more common here in Brazil... The only place that I know that serves a REAL ramen where I'm living now is kinda too far from home... so I only go there when I convince friends to take me. :P
Five years ago or so, I would have said, "Every now and then". Now, try "Rarely". Two places in San Jose closed down. One became a Korean place and the other, I don't know what became of it. I think up north, there are places? I prefer udon these days now though.
I try to eat ramen once a week as it is really good!!!!! It's cold here too in Canada...I try to eat anything warm or hot!!!!!
Ramen=WIN. Noodles=WIN. I don't eat them any more than I usually do in winter really. And one of the only places that sells ramen is Wagamama's. Chicken ramen is awesome. It comes in such a big bowl! I always struggle to finish it..
I'll usually eat it when I'm cold too ^^
I eat lots of pasta, but I don't think I've ever had ramen. I would like to try it!
I stay off the instant ramen... but I'd love the traditional ramen that is cooked with spices. It's been awhile since I had ramen too... need to call my special friend to go out and have a nice bowl of ramen... hmmm...
I grab some ramen, pho, or miso soup whenever I'm cold. On average I'd probably get ramen once or twice a month. It's good but not something I eat regularly.
I've never had Ramen!!! =( It's one of the many japanese foods that I'm yet to try!!
i'm studying in Ukraine(no Japaneese shops, restraunts etc.). so i just brought some instant ramen form malaysia to eat. It's better than nothing!
Authentic ramen is hard to come by. Instant ramen, however, comes in boxes of 20.
Not that often - I like my rice. ^^; Can't go for more than a few days without it.
Actually a really good ramen place just opened in cali, it's a small shop but the ramen is almost like the ramen in Sapporo ^^ delicious And instant ramen is not ramen :(
I'm leaving town tomorrow, but hoping to find my way to another bowl of Janagara before then!:)
I do love Ramen but dont eat it too much or its bad for you. I love misos soup based and then the ramen. Favourite brand are Nissin and others.
Those nori squares a nice touch, gorgeously edible. I personally eat ramen more often than I should.
They say noodles lengthen life. That's why I eat a lot. :D
uhmmm...very often, like 2 or 4 times per week ^_^ It's simple to cook and delicious. XD
I eat noodles in general very often about 5 times a week.Authentic Ramen is something differnt since i have to get to Düsseldorf to enjoy it. If your ever in Düsseldorf be sure to eat at the http://www.naniwa.de.Be ready to line up tough. Germans like to line up as much as japanese do ^^
I usually go to my fave place, Gaba Ramen, once a week after I get off of work. I love it so much ^^
It looks delicious. I really want to taste the ramen, but because of my religion I cannot. I just eat udon and shoba in Hakoshoba around train station in Kawasaki. I wonder, is it really no butaniku substance in udon and shoba?
Does instant count? ^^; jksjks I usual am able to cook up my own ramen when i have the ingredients around. That's often when i come back from grocery shopping and am able to buy "fresh" noodles. Finding fresh made ones are hard to come by and don't last long. oh well.
I remember having a lot of ramen when I went to Hokkaido actually... not sure what's different about the style there, but they seemed to be pretty proud of it over there... o.o I'm Korean, so I have a lot of Korean ramen. It's a lot spicier than the Japanese kinds, although it does wonders in the winter to warm you up.
2 times a week usually. It taste better in the winter and warms you all up.
I would eat so many noodles if I live in Japan... my place isn't a good place to eat noodle.
I always crave for noodles. I can't get enough of them XD
I wish there were some ramen stands around. All that we have is cup noodle and that gets tiring. But that looks really good, Danny.
noodles are the best in the winter..
Ate heaps when i first came to Japan, not so much now. Maybe about twice a month. Still love it though.
Theres a Japanese market place close to work (O'hare) so I stop there and have ramen twice a week.
Hm once a week with noodles for me...
I go to downtown and share a bowl with my friend,. Cost about 10 buck +tips + sidedish if want. What ramen are you eating danny?
I wish I could go to Japan and have some delish Miso Ramen from a Ramen-ya...oh now I'm hungry...
I like to order when it's cold and I'm not in a rush as it takes me ages to finish ^^;; I've only been able to order a few times though u_u~
i eat soba like once a week. also udon, but no ramen since i stop eating meat.
While my ramen consumption has consisted on eating cup and stovetop ramen, there have been a few occassions where I have eaten some ramen at ramen places. ^^ I have had New York style ramen a few times and always order their curry ramen. ^^ I have yet to go to a few other ramen places to try it out. ^_^
Not often and not a lot because ramen places aren't that common. Shin-Sen-Gumi has some good ramen though. And I don't like buying packages because those are really bad for you although they taste good.
The broth of that ramen looks disturbingly fatty. I don't think I could bring my self to taste it. ^^
Have a few packs of the top stuff on hand for when I'm hungry at night. Easy to prepare, and can be modified for particular tastes.
YUMMY !!! I LOVE RAMEN i wish it could be cheaper here in France :(
wantan mee and yong taufoo at least twice a week for me.
Cant eat ramen here, mostly they use pork/lard as the soup base. Cant eat pork & anything related to pork cuz of my religion. Usually I'll yong tau foo or tom yam soup here :p
i eat noodles 3 times a day anyway.... hah....that picture makes me hungry....ummm do you have its ingredient / recipe....?
if possible i eat ramem all the fridays! love Ramem! especially in the winter.
Ramen in Winter is a must! It really helps to build the feeling of Winter, same with nabe ^__^
YUM!
I don't eat them as much as I used to but, I do love a bowl of beef ramen.
Never ate ramen before..>_< As for noodles, used to have it a lot, but not anymore.. The last one I had was a few months ago..^_^
I just eaten Japanese ramen coocked in a Chinese style. Never eaten real JPN ramen ;___;
Once or twice a week for me. Though it is the ramen in a bag variety which I would say hardly qualifies as a proper ramen meal.
I've been eating ramen almost everyday during the past week or so. Probably due to winter as well.
I usually eat ramen about two to three days a week. I like the Soba style ramen that I get from my local Japanese grocery and I also like the Nissin brand ramen that I get there as well.
What is this ramen dish? it looks very oily
Man... I'd love to have something warm like that today. Looked like Mikuru frog could be swimming in that XD
Sigh. That looks damn good. Wish there were some real ramenyas in CA. There're some decent ones, but none that come close.
If I lived in Japan, I'd eat Ramen as much as I can. The Ramen in America is alright but a lot of it isn't really the real thing.

Nya... as often as I can get!! Mmm ramen!
Almost eat it every day here. The brands called Maggi very good compared to some other brands ^^
I prefer Ruski :D
actual legit ramen- not ever to the extent of my memory surprisingly, being a college student- i havent had instant ramen in months
Gaban?
