I did that one year when everyone forgot my birthday. I bought myself a cake and yes, it said "Happy Birthday to Me" on it. when I sang it sounded like this: "happy b-b-birthday [snif] to meeee..." It was awful. So, so very ronery.

These days my birthdays are filled with hard liquor, fast cars, and loose women. Much ress ronery.

Kinda reminds me, even more now that I'm living alone...
Only I don't do stuff like that. It would only make me feel more ronery.... :P

I've seen so many "So Ronery" pics last year I don't even feel that much ronery anymore... :P

Well, now I'm going to sleep because tomorrow I'm going to the movies... alone. :P

Last year I worked for 8 hours as a clerk (Kroger) during my birthday, so I was in more of the (don't even mention) mood. Only problem was, my family remembered and wanted to do something. I just shrugged them off and went to work, came home and went to bed. The next day, however, I celebrated it.

I feel like the older I get, the less I care about my birthday (and I'm only 18). Besides that, having a cake with "Happy Birthday to Me" is kind of humerous.

hmm havent really celebrated b-day for as long as i can remember. even as a kid we never really celebrated b-days.
may be due to the fact that we were brought up in a poor family.

o well.

otakus will never walk alone or be ronery because 2d girls are always in our hearts and minds.

that said, celebrating your birthday with a 2d girl is the height of social sophistication and so i APPROVE!!

i dont really care about my own birthday anyway, except for the gifts. All the symbolic meanings are lost to me.

for me the birthday is just another trip around the sun, and i dont really expect anyone to remember. Usually i just spend loads of money on delicious food and buy movies and some more brand name clothe. Oh, and the feeling of ronery has died very long ago, hahaha. (gosh, i reread that and realized how bitter i might sound to some (-_-) )

lol, but for those like Mr Otaku in the picture, I'd like to ask, "What eroge did you buy for your birthday, Mr. Ronery?"

Yeah, as I always tend to say to myself, people tend to focus on birthdays and holidays such as Christmas and New Year and forget about the rest.
Birthdays are only for one day... The remaining 364 days should be as much as important.
(Only in theory) ^^

Yep, gotta live every day to the fullest, thats why bdays arent all that different. But yknow, it really does give an excuse to spend money and let yourself be more frivolous. Many otakus arent really ronery, they are surrounded by eroge, anime, manga, and often otakus arent that involved with people to feel ronery without them. This is a gross generalization but still, they are happy the way they are, and dont need others around them.

This isnt a good thing to say, but, if one's leaves emotions such as hatred, loneliness, and even love, and be motivated only by self interest, life is way easier and more is achieved. Its not always as fun tho

For those who are "ronery" & single here (I'm talking about the members) :
don't give up, just be patient, and your one true love WILL appear.
.
I can't really say 'when', but you'll get to meet & hopefully marry that special someone one of these days.
.
Sure there'll be times like this where you're gonna eat your b-day cake all by yourself (this might even happen several years), but just hang in there.

for his ronery birthday, the otaku wished that his candy girl can come to life and be his friend.

the fairy godmother who happened to be in town, heard him and granted his wish.

both of them live happily ever after. the end. ('~')

Every birthday of mine is a testament to the fact that I can no longer use my age to get away with doing stupid things. So, no celebrations. No cake either. I might cook myself something, but that would be for the sake of practicing my cooking skills.

So ronery indeed.
