The cake says "Happy Birthday (to) Me" Via Neta.
I did that one year when everyone forgot my birthday. I bought myself a cake and yes, it said "Happy Birthday to Me" on it. when I sang it sounded like this: "happy b-b-birthday [snif] to meeee..." It was awful. So, so very ronery. These days my birthdays are filled with hard liquor, fast cars, and loose women. Much ress ronery.
For some reason the words "The cake is a lie" came to mind :P
Bwahaha. Yesh, I agree.
orz.. I new that! They lied all the time! XD
Has anyone seen my weighted companion cube?
Well, at least he has moar cake for himself >.> Besides that there are a bunch of anime girls looking right at him so, its not THAT ronery ^^;
;_; Kinda reminds me, even more now that I'm living alone... Only I don't do stuff like that. It would only make me feel more ronery.... :P I've seen so many "So Ronery" pics last year I don't even feel that much ronery anymore... :P Well, now I'm going to sleep because tomorrow I'm going to the movies... alone. :P
Your never alone when your surrounded by anime figures ;) , or you just bury your loneliess in an mmo. Forgive me for being out of it, but what does ronery mean?
Ronery means Lonely. I think its said by Kim Jong Il in Team America.
lonely... lots of anime girls around=not so ronery
ronery = lonely

But look what happened to Densha Otoko... He was surrounded with anime merch & goods and he almost committed suicide after eating his b-day cake T_T I hope that doesn't happen to anyone here.
Last year I worked for 8 hours as a clerk (Kroger) during my birthday, so I was in more of the (don't even mention) mood. Only problem was, my family remembered and wanted to do something. I just shrugged them off and went to work, came home and went to bed. The next day, however, I celebrated it. I feel like the older I get, the less I care about my birthday (and I'm only 18). Besides that, having a cake with "Happy Birthday to Me" is kind of humerous.
I had to work on my past 3 birthdays too T_T but I always make up for it by buying myself something nice after that.
hmm havent really celebrated b-day for as long as i can remember. even as a kid we never really celebrated b-days. may be due to the fact that we were brought up in a poor family. o well.
from an otaku's perspective, i don't think that he is ronery 'coz he has his 2D girls to celebrate his birthday with him lolz
hey hey guys..if you are feeling ronery, dont forget you have everyone here at dannychoo.com. just tell us your birthday and we will shoutout for u hope this makes those feeling ronery feel better
good idea, man! i second that
I don't even celebrate my b'day... Just that I don't care about it much. But I will buy what I have in mind. ^^;
likewise, and *IF* remembered, I treat myself to sumfin nice... lyke a new set o' Victoria Secret Lingerie >_>
Same here.. >_
We're brothers then, I don't really care much about my birthday...
Wow, and I felt I was not far from alone in that case. Thanks for the support, my friends. :)
otakus will never walk alone or be ronery because 2d girls are always in our hearts and minds. that said, celebrating your birthday with a 2d girl is the height of social sophistication and so i APPROVE!! i dont really care about my own birthday anyway, except for the gifts. All the symbolic meanings are lost to me.
So ronery. ;_; Very much how I celebrate my birthday these days. A lot of my old buddies have pursued their studies elsewhere. Hey, at least there are still people on the Internets and I do occasionally bumped into old faces, but it is still ronery. ;_;
which reminds my RONERY New Year celebration early this year ;__; Sitting In my room, enjoying Fireworks from my window ;__;
RONERY Valentines coming up?
oh no, Valentines is coming, but I already used to it :p.
Worry not, for I don't celebrate such infidel festival durka durka. But Valentine's Day or not, I'm still ronery. ;_;
hope there's no insecticide on those strawberrys
for me the birthday is just another trip around the sun, and i dont really expect anyone to remember. Usually i just spend loads of money on delicious food and buy movies and some more brand name clothe. Oh, and the feeling of ronery has died very long ago, hahaha. (gosh, i reread that and realized how bitter i might sound to some (-_-) )
Well, gee, at least you know how to take some time to enjoy your day of birth. I'm starting to lose that ronery feeling too. It's really not that bad. lol, but for those like Mr Otaku in the picture, I'd like to ask, "What eroge did you buy for your birthday, Mr. Ronery?"
Yeah, as I always tend to say to myself, people tend to focus on birthdays and holidays such as Christmas and New Year and forget about the rest. Birthdays are only for one day... The remaining 364 days should be as much as important. (Only in theory) ^^
Yep, gotta live every day to the fullest, thats why bdays arent all that different. But yknow, it really does give an excuse to spend money and let yourself be more frivolous. Many otakus arent really ronery, they are surrounded by eroge, anime, manga, and often otakus arent that involved with people to feel ronery without them. This is a gross generalization but still, they are happy the way they are, and dont need others around them. This isnt a good thing to say, but, if one's leaves emotions such as hatred, loneliness, and even love, and be motivated only by self interest, life is way easier and more is achieved. Its not always as fun tho
For those who are "ronery" & single here (I'm talking about the members) : don't give up, just be patient, and your one true love WILL appear. . I can't really say 'when', but you'll get to meet & hopefully marry that special someone one of these days. . Sure there'll be times like this where you're gonna eat your b-day cake all by yourself (this might even happen several years), but just hang in there.
danny, should you just start a dating site to help us ronery otaku-tachi
@ornehx: I think there wouldnt be any female otaku seeking love if that went to happen XD.
I have been spending my past 3 birthdays taking exams.....
for his ronery birthday, the otaku wished that his candy girl can come to life and be his friend.
the fairy godmother who happened to be in town, heard him and granted his wish.
both of them live happily ever after. the end. ('~')
I try to go to church every birthday just to be thankful for another year of life and experience. As for celebrations I leave it to everyone else. I really don't like a lot of attention focused on trivial matters, though people still give me gifts every year.
Something with the word "Jibun/じぶん" caught my eyes.. On a glimpse, the hiragana looks like Arabic! ^^
Every birthday of mine is a testament to the fact that I can no longer use my age to get away with doing stupid things. So, no celebrations. No cake either. I might cook myself something, but that would be for the sake of practicing my cooking skills. So ronery indeed.
There are five candles on the cake... does this mean he's so out of synch with reality he thinks he's five years old??
Maybe it's symbolic, in that each candle could be a multiplier? 5? 25? 50? etc. No miss bonus!
I can actually see myself doing that.. Sad D:
lol Xd I thought the same thing right now
How do you spend your birthday Danny?
hey, at least the guy remembered his own birthday! I constantly forget and end up getting reminded to organise a gettogether by all my mates!
That otaku just smashed the phrase "no man is an island" into the bin. Then again, he has his myriad of 2D gals to keep him company.
the cake is a lie maybe l play too much portal ^^" otanjyobe omedeto!
lol, u remind me of portal, the cake....
That's a lovely cake. ^^ You're never ronery when you have 2d girls with you around. Be it figures, pictures or whatevah. XD
poor guy celebrating his own B-day that sucks LOL!!
that happens........some times............ and it makes me remember when i spend new years eve of 2008 alone at midnight in my roof saying to mi ineer self happy new year 2008 listening to music and seeing all the fireworks around me i think i was kinda lucky cause no firework got on me ......
LOL. I can imagine myself doing that. But without the cake.
