I was just playing around with the detail page for this item on the Good Smile site ^^; Will release the pre-order info this week. In the meantime, more pics at Mikatan Blog - she got very nice eyes indeed. Original text from wcloudx below.Mikatan just updated her Blog with a preview of 2 upcoming figures of Nankyaku Sakura from Penguin Musume ^^ Left is 1/8 scale "Nankyoku Sakura Gothloli Yukata Ver." by Good Smile Company, scheduled for April 2009 release. Right is 1/8 scale "Nankyoku Sakura Maid Ver." by Alter, scheduled for Febuary 2009 release. More images at Mikatan's Blog. So which one do you prefer? ^^; As for me, I prefer Alter's version, although both are nice in their own ways ^^

Oh man... I can't pick just one! I'd go for the Yukata, just because I don't have a lot of figures with yukata on... but darn, so hard to resist those thigh highs on the maid outfit, which suspiciously look like Lala's thigh highs ^^;

I like them both too! But if I had to pick one, I'd go with the maid version. She seems more in-character than in the yukata version.

Alter's one have a more dynamic pose that suits her character more while the yukata version by GSC is cute in her own way, so the final choice is really decided by personal preference. >_< For me I like GSC's one due to the cute outfit =)

The Alter one just seems to fit Pengy more than the GS version. The face just looks.. off to me, whereas the Alter one is spot on Pengy. I'd pick the Alter version over the GS. The pose is neat and it just feels more like her.

I think both are good. But if I must choose one as a gift from Danny *hint hint* then Alter is the one for me. I like the way the entire face and body is balance, Goodsmile version is more "doll".

I love her yutaka, and given a choice I'd take that one. Alter's version has a better pose though - it suits her character better. :P Penguin Musume was only average for me. Sakura's voice really got on my nerves.

It's hard to decide without being able to see a view of the backs of the figures (especially the hair), but I think I like GSC's Goth Loli Yukata version the best. The short yukata is sweet and the partial leg-warmers/socks (What on earth do you call those things?!) are a nice detail, but what seals the deal are those sandals. They're so plain and simple, but something about them added to the rest of the outfit just makes it perfect. Maybe it's the fact that the red part draws your eyes to her toes and it's rare to see toes on a figure that's not in a swimsuit. Though the Alter one is cute, I've seen SO many maid outfits (even nekomimi ones) that it takes something truly incredible to stand out. Also, I'm also not a fan of nipplets showing through clothing. I know... that knocks out at least half the world's anime figure inventory. XD Cute expression though. =^_^=
