As you know, eroge usually feature the girls of many otaku's dreams and they want to spend the night with that girl ASAP. So what do they do?

Well D_Blade I'm not really an expert in eroge, but I think I knew some things that might be the reason why FORTUNE ARTERIAL is so famous and anticipated.
1. This title is from August who is famous for its storyline and character design(artwork)
2. August last title 'Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na' is a big hit and very famous (you probably already seen Feena figure from the game by Max Factory and Kotobukiya)
3. The promotion for this game is so hugeee.. August spend a lot of money promoting this game
4. This game has vampire element in its storyline, a lot of people love vampire ^^;

Well, if you didn't read the story, H-Scenes would taste not as good as if you read it. You know, it's better to have a night with your childhood friend than someone you just met ^^ (altought the 2 things happen at eroge ToT).

I myself play them for the story. And just get past the ero bits as fast as possible. I like the dating-sim aspect of the games the most lol.

Now I wonder if it's why female eroge players (25% of the total, remember?) go through eroge for the same reasons. ^^

IMO, Most of these games are so colorful, artistic, and cute that graphics-whores like me buy them as 'eye candy'. Good plot and stories also help, and that's more than enuff reason to buy.
Now If I could just translate & understand what the heck they're all talking about, THEN I'd really enjoy these games =.=;
Oh ya, most of these don't run on a North American PC =( You'd hafta buy those programs that would let you install them on your PC- and those cost hundreds of dollars T_T

While Fortune Arterial is a big hit, I heard no one really talks about Pia Carrot G.P. Shame to see such a popular series back in the days is now became unpopular. Too bad that original artists of the Pia Carrot series left for Leaf.

Sadly any eroge material is non existent in the Northwest half of the US. Except for maybe Seattle, but still i'm a long way from Seattle. And until I learn kanji or Japanese I probably won't understand the story (if thats what you play them for). Watching the videos I had no idea what these teasers were about, but I did like the music.

I really don`t know they make eroges festivals like with the normal games, maybe eroges are more important in japanese culture that I belive before... ^-^
I only play a few eroges years ago, and well, is a good form to kill time, but the only eroge I want to play is Fate Stay Night(well, grafic novel...), and I can`t find it in english!!
