Japan Shoots Aircraft

As you may know, when you come to Japan, you are welcomed by being asked for your finger print.
If you are going to be flying to Japan around July 7 - 9th, you may also be welcomed by having your plane shot down.
Japan Probe reports that Japanese officials are preparing to shoot down commercial aircraft in the event that its hijacked and heading for the G8 summit.
Looks like the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many...
A clip of a plane being shot down over parliament - me home town London.

Looks like the Japanese government instituted this new policy after the presentation by MP Yoshida Fujita abot 9/11. He exposed the biggest secret in the US Government in Japanese TV!

Well the London bombings did coincide with the G8 summit in Glasgow, good opportunity for terrorism.

Nice vid there btw.

Wasnt a coincidence mate, looks like it was rather planned (NOT by "Al-Qaida")

Check out the documentary "7/7 Ripple Effect" on Google Video for more information on that.

that's an international disaster waiting to happen if Japan actually proceeded the plan. Although, America has said that they will gladly shoot down commercial jet liners with fighter jets if it has been hijacked...

or maybe a Gundam would stop it...

That was the first thing I thought once I saw the tank, my mind went "CGI!"

Anyways, had this really "happened" I would know about it.

Of course it is, otherwise there would be social and political tantrums... I mean crises all over the world.

The question is: Are the lifes of plane passengers worth less than the lives of the G8 politicians? I don't think so.

It doesn't matter the people on the plane are gonna die either way. Might as well limit the loss of lives.

It's not that easy.

You can't be sure a plane has really been hijacked and even if you are sure that something like this happened (e. g. the hijackers said so via radio communication) you can't be sure he plans to crash into a building or something. It's also possible that he wants to fly somewhere and/or he wants to hold the passengers to ransom.

Even if you are absolutely sure that crashing the plane into something is the original plan of the hijacker, which is unlikely, there is still the chance that he won't do it, because of his fear or qualms or something like that. It's not that rare that someone wants to commit a crime but later on he just can't do it.

So unless you are 100% sure that the passengers will die anyway shooting down the plane is just wrong.

As harsh as it sounds, yes. Their lives are of less value to the world. Hence why in combat situations generals make plans instead of risking their lives on the front lines.

While ethically all lives are equal, the attendees of events such as G8 make and change the political climate of the world; 300 randoms on a 747 do not. I bring your attention to the recent killing of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan and the new level of political unrest borderlining on civil war it caused.

Hundreds, perhaps thousands are murdered for political reasons daily accross the world and nobody bats an eyelid. When a political leader is killed however, it's a green light for everybody to start fighting everybody. Something we'd rather avoid.

You are now required to give your fingerprints coming to USA if you are not a United States citizen. This did surprise me when I went to Japan last December since I did not have to do this during the summer visit. I guess airport security gets tighthen all around the world.

The defense minister of Japan actually refused to confirm this plan to shoot down commercial planes,

[[Defence Minister Shigeru Ishiba declined to comment on whether Japan was considering shooting down hijacked planes.

"Of course we have to consider all possible situations. But we cannot talk about what we are considering," he told reporters.]]

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20080124/tap-uk-japan-g8-security-2ef4ed8.html

Well he is being so evasive, isn't he..

Had he been blunt and just confirmed it, I think during the event of G8 meeting, flight to Japan won't be so populated >_

Wouldn't that be called an "Internal terrorism"!? As in "terrorizing your own people"!?! Well then... I guess you better hope that your plane doesn't get hijacked... Btw...What if it's one of those "fake" hijacks where they threaten to set off a bomb, but actually don't have one?! Ouch.

300 people out of the total population of this world, its only a small insignificant percantage that issnt even worthy to be mentioned, if their deaths is able to prevent the death of even more people then perhaps its worth it.
