Christmas Decorations

(Figures(128)
Sat 2008/12/06 14:28
Looks like my Christmas decorations are nearly done ^^;
Apart from the figma Christmas kits, I've done the lights in front of the house and all thats left is the tree inside the living room. Will try to do that today.

Does your household celebrate Christmas with decorations?

Not doing much this year except for a tree, due to it being too much of a pain in the ass. A tree is all I need to show off my christmas cheer.

When we live with hubs parents there was thus large tree we had to lug out from storage and decorate... kinda made me feel a bit sick of doing it lol Now we keep it minimal :) we found a tiny light thingie for a 2 dollar tree tho lol so other than that and some cards gotten from friends probably nothing fussy :)

I need to decorate my cubicle with some decorations! I think the family and I are going to put up Christmas lights and the tree tomorrow. Tonight, I'll start on Christmas cards so I can start sending them either tomorrow or next week...at least some time before finals.

Used to put them on for the store and such, but for the apartment/house is such a pain. They get all dirty so it's gross when you put them on or out; waste of electricity...

Kudos for people who celebrate for religious reasons, but as for the rest is just a marketing move to make you spend a lot of money (and make you look like an ass in front of your kids if you don't deliver).

I'd like to decorate my figure shelf/figures but I haven't had the chance to go to the print shop to get that free figma tree printed, wish the xmas clothes were available online by themselves in a package of some sort as well. thought about making clothes for them but I really suck at sewing especially things that small.

I used to decorate around the house with my sister. The tree felt like a hassle after a few years. It was big (6.5ft) and we had to stretch out the branches every year since it gets squashed in the box. This year, I went and bought a $2 tree at Daiso and decorated that instead. It's small (less than 2ft) but hey, it's just about the holiday spirit. :P

When I was younger I remember my family used to put up a large Christmas tree but the past years almost everyone seems to have switched to smaller synthetic trees with integrated lights, easier to store, set up and can be used for many years on end.

Here it's mostly just some lighting decorations, nothing excessive.

Me and my family just put up our Christmas tree. We don't bother with the other decorations since we think it's waste of time; putting it up then putting it back down after the season. This year, we also didn't put Christmas lights on our tree. It saves us electricity and we're pretty safe from Christmas light-related fires. Those things happen a lot here x_x

not anymore
once i hit 18, the whole christmas decorating thing sorta 'dropped' in the family

maybe it's because i can't be bothered to do these things with the searing heat on this side of the world.

We don't go overboard with christmas decs. We just have a small fiber optic light tree we out up.

Me.
That's so nice. Sadly, I wouldn't be able to get the santa figmas.

My family don't celebrate Christmas. But we treat it as a family occassion to get together. It's going towards end of the year and nothing better than celebrating with your family.

Oh and by the way, can someone help Yuki with her pantsu? (^_^)"

For Danny's question.
We haven't put a tree up for a long long TIME! haha
This year its a no no once again because we have no proper pace for the ... tree.
7th row in with no tree or any decorations.

This year I can't buy many presents to the problems UK is having. Its affected everyone. I do what I can to get a good xmas. ^^

The low sun is blinding me while I am typing lol!

No... mainly because I always spend Xmas away from home.
It's kind of a family tradition. Xmas on my mom's relatives, New Years Eve at my father's relatives.

I remember we did some decorations sometimes when I was a kid though.

My Dad always decorate the house with alfs (not the correct translation but the closet i can get without effort :)) everywhere, on the walls, from the ceilling and outside our house looks totally cool when its chrismas. I hope to carry on the tradition when i move for myself cause it really puts you in the spirit.

We decorate the inside of our house. Mostly just the living room and kitchen and one Christmas reef on the door. Don't know when we'll be getting everything out but, I imagine sometime soon.

Help my family put decorations up. Personally I would just prefer one of those mini Xmas trees you can get in stores, LOL.

I'm guessing you'll have a photo of your own decorations up in your next Week in Tokyo post if you have one planned soon, Danny. Or maybe it'll be Santatrooper hitting the streets of Tokyo?

We don't do the outside, but we'll do the inside. Light fittings, door frames, picture frames, and other places are always done, and the table is given a Christmasey place setting, but the centrepiece is always the tree.

This year sees a major revision in proceedings. A new colour scheme is being applied housewide, and the tree is in a new location. I'm about 45% through the build - I might throw some pics up on my blog when I'm done.

It's a Japan-only thing.

You can view it in one of Danny's News.

If am not mistaken, if you buy a figma with a Merry X-mas sticker, you get those free santa costumes. There are 2 choices for a hat, but you really can't choose which one you get

I try to stick Christmas decorations. But year by year, I get less enthusiastic about it because Santa isn't real T_T!! I get all my presents from relatives that aren't good. They don't mean a lot to me cuz they don't know my tastes. Other than that, I look forward to Chinese new year instead in February ^_^

At my parent's house, we put up 1 big tree (with all of the lights and ornaments), lights in the windows, lights outside, and some decorations around the house like candles and Christmas-y figurines. We have a smaller tree that we put up in the basement, since we spend most of our time down there (watching movies, family computer).

At my apartment, I do almost the same thing, but with a much smaller tree. All of my ornaments look like candy or they are from Star Wars. All of the lights really make it feel like Christmas

Nendo Mikuru is sooo cute! :D. My family is never in the holiday spirit and doesn't celebrate any holiday except Chinese New Year and Mid Autumn Festival so they kinda influenced me ^^;. I don't really care about christmas either (not in a bad way) nor do I feel the same way as most people when I hear "it's xmas!". Saying that, there's no decoration around my house except the gundams in my room xD.
