Do you like your cake?
Do you like your sushi?
Well how about a sushi cake? These yummy cakes are available from Ryu Gu Jo Sushi Studio and cost between 5,250 yen and 6,830 yen depending on the fish used.

And for those who are new to eating sushi, the tutorial below will tell you everything you need to know. Hmmm. Think I've decided to to have for lunch today. Oh, and wondering if you take your sushi with wasabi?

I used to order all my sushi without wasabi until I saw something on TV about how good wasabi is for the health - was on TV so must be true desu.

I dunno why but the video seems humorous. XD
But I started eating sushi since our cafeteria sells variety of it. But I don't open one wasabi packet to be partnered with sushi. I've eaten once so my backhead burns like barbecue, also my tongue.

I LOVVVVE Sushi.
What the heck is up with that movie, though!?
"Most Japanese eat at a sushi-ya at least once per day?"
No way!! Absolutely false.
And-- 20 cc of soy sauce (correctly callled "Murasaki" in a sushi-ya)???
That is too much!! It almost seems like it's poking fun at foreigners who almost always use way too much soy sauce-- so much that the delicate flavour of the fish is ruined.
Weird.

Funny, such formality and intricacy, who knew that the consumption of sushi was so methodical?

Regardless, the idea of a sushi cake seems less than appetizing, but I would probably give it a try if presented with an opportunity.

As for wasabi, I believe a little goes a long ways toward the overall enjoyment of the sushi.

Aside the tuna and maybe the squid I probably wouldn't eat that as it looks very unappetizing bunched together like that.

Sushi isn't complete without wasabi. I made the unfortunate mistake of not checking over my sushi piece once as the wasabi stuck to the side as I ate it. It cleared my sinuses though...

I don't eat the radish slices though.

There's this amazing all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant near my place. I go there atleast 2 or 3x a month. Great food, low price.

love sushi, love wasabi.... and english mustard for that matter.

Back in high school my friends once challenge me to a wasabi eating contest. Won with a simple trick, 'breath'
If the wasbi is too strong, just breath in while eating and it'll be ok. The trick doesn't work with English Mustard though. lol.

but yeah, love'em, but hate those sea urchin's eggs, still can't get used to that, especially when mixed with natto.

Do you eat your sushi with chopsticks or your hands Danny (and readers)? I sometimes see in anime and J-dramas people eating Nigiri sushi(I think that's the one where it's on top of the rice and not rolled with seaweed) with their hands.

I always want to try it like that but I'm afraid I'll get some weird looks.

Eating sushi with the hands--
It's the way kool guys in Japan eat Nigiri sushi and maki rolls. I only use chopsticks to eat sashimi.
It is not very lady-like, though. I have never seen my wife or her female friends do it.

I do not discriminate against size nor taste. All sushi are welcome. Unless it's sweet. Then I'm afraid I must refuse.

Love Sushi very much. And that sushi cake looks yummy, though the price is a little bit too high.

Sushi is one of the few things I dont really like... I just don't like fish much... specially not raw fish.... I have tried it... I like the rice and don't mind the seaweed, but can't stand slimey bits of fish... tuna, maybe....but stuff like salmon? Nonononono.... I've tried wasabi too, when I had sushi, it's very strong lol.

How would they serve this one? Cut it up [which I doubt], or serve a selection of parts? =/

I love sushi, but I don't think I'd have it in this way. As for wasabi, I go without as I don't have it very often.

I love cakes, I love sushi but do not like sashimi. :(

But these sushi cakes are amazing... they look like a piece of art. These are the kinda food that are so pretty that you just like to admire them and don't want to eat them. :)

No wasabi for me please *coughs*... -_-"

To tell you the truth, I haven't eaten sushi yet. Well there was this one time but I really didn't like it because it had mango in it... and I hate mango (and every other fruits out there). But I do like cake! More specifically chocolate cake! Yum yum! XD

Love eating sushi with plenty of wasabi, though I know the Japanese balk at the idea. It's just supposed to be a form of sanitizer for the raw fish.

It doesn't really look delectable on my eyes... maybe because i just ate, lol.

Anyway, wasabi is one of the thing i hate the most in the world... It completely destroys the taste of the sushi... Just recently at Singapore, McD had a special menu of wasabi fillet o fish, which is basically a normal fillet o fish with the mayo substituted with wasabi mayo. I could swear to god, i felt the wasabi up to my nose and just remembering the taste made me shudder.. I don't know what i was thinking when i decided to tried it out...

But.. are they really healthy as you said Danny?? and R-1 also said that they act as sanitizer for the raw fish... now is that true?

I love sushi. But one must be careful here in Prague, coz at some places they don't have good sushi. It's because they don't use fresh fish meat, because sea fishes must be imported here from other countries and that's not anything cheap I guess.

I like wasabi, but in small portions.

I havent tasted sushi or wasabi yet. there's no Japanese restaurant here nearby, but there might be one or two in the beverly hills type of posh areas in south mumbai. but they will charge a months salary for a plate, so tasting sushi is not possible.
