Dolls Party 20

(Figures(77)
Wed 2008/12/03 10:17
The next Dolls Party (also known as dolpa) will be held at Tokyo Big Sight this Sunday from 10am - its like the Wonfes for dolls only. Admission is 2,200 yen. Me going to try to make it.

There are going to be a few exclusives including Saber, Kanu and Ryomo - more stuff on this page. List of accessories available are listed here.

I really like the Aoi Dolfie who weighs in at 39,900 yen. Also like this maid dress and this outfit too.

Hmmmm. This going to be an expensive hobby.

Ya, they're so expensive. They don't really appeal to my tastes though. I'd rather have figures instead...

The hobby is so worth the cost though Danny.

With this Dollpa, the dollfie dream range is getting a new body type too, Dollfie Dream Dynamite, this body has new bust options.

I simply adore my Dollfie Dream. She's like a huge, cuter, more poseable with better clothes and hair figure.

Dollfie dream dolls are actually more popular with male figure collectors then you may think. Because they are very anime style like figures, they often appeal to figure collectors too. Also you get fans who will buy anything if it features characters they like, these people buy the dolls too. For example the To heart 2 dollfie dream were very popular and sell for a lot of money on the aftermarket because they are popular characters and many people want the dolls of them.

Suply and demand is a cruel thing.

I won't be able to make it to this on the count of an inspection forcing us to work Sunday. ):
Whoever gets to go, please take lots of pics. I don't own any of these and the ones I saw in Akiba were around $700 - $800 dollars. There's only a few characters in all of anime I would even think of paying that much for (Suiginto and Suiseiseki I would).

If I ever do buy one, it will be only one due to the cost.

At first people thought anime figures were weird.. no most people on this site have them. The same will go for dolls! :-) I also thought they were freaky at first, but after seeing enough pictures of them... damn, the Saber one looks awesome!

It seems as if there is a lotery on the volksusa site to get one... but how to enter the lotery?
