Some maps in Japan are easy to read - and some are not... Via Kirainet. Algunos mapas en el Japón son fáciles de leer - y algunos no son ...
Lol.......looks like there are a lot of retails bunched up in a single block. That's if each Japanese scripture describes the name of the retail space.
Wow... That is a very tightly packed map....
I'm getting a headache just looking at that.
Is a magnifying glass provided for the pocket-sized version of this map?
LOL, thats hilarious.
The roads are very easy to reads. Everything else looks like a nightmare. Could also just be from the fact that I am unable to read the language. But as the FMP says, it looks pretty tightly packed @_@
*head explodes*
that's quite scary and intimidating. i already have a hard time locating places via their addresses. this would be totally outta my league.
it would be hard for you to locate a shop... but simply having these maps around the neighborhood itself is already better than having no map at all.. i am always in the support of maps, cause in my country its very hard to find one..
Hmmm...no wonder they don't like foreigners much over there, a tourist gets lost and asks for directions resulting in everyone having a bad day.
Where's the "You are here"?
You have to find Waldo first...good luck with that (>Xx)>
Yeah, I'm lost already... ^^
All of those red ones are "you are here" signs (^_^)
ゲ! O_o
............Man, what happened to simplicity and being practical?
This is where the Iphone comes in handy!
Danny that's one heck of a difficult map to read and follow! O_O If was there again, probably having a vacation there, I'll be lost in translation!
My head starts spinning just looking at it (@_@)
Oh my.... @.@ *headache*
I think I'm going blind from looking at this.
HAHAHA.....i bet the red ones represent a Mc Donald's.....lol
Wow...looks os complicated @_@
I bet I have better chances of finding a place by myself than taking a look at this map! O_o
this one is one confusing mad... o_O
Oh so it's not a map but a mad? :p
It's madly confusing!
Are those store names? Well I guess you can't get lost unless if you forgot the store you're in. ^_^
It seems to be for local people as I've seen a similar one when I went to Tsukiji fish market.
This is rather confusing. I would be so lost using this. It's not the type of maps I'm used to seeing where they label the streets and not the stores. Unless those are nameless alleyways? And what's the difference between the red and black store names? They would have to make a new map each time a shop changes.
I never did get the hang of Tokyo directions, I relied on "turn left at the blue building" type directions ;P
Aiyaiyai...well, I'm sure it's doubly confusing for me since it's not in my home language, but imagining this in English doesn't make it much better. And...what's with the random language change at the bottom? o_o
a favor of Spanish speakers I guess...
How do people navigate with that thing?
Alright, Danny...where's Mirai Inc. on here? ^^;
LIES! It can't be a map!!! Tis a scripture of some sort!
is this a map of a commercial area or residential? that could make all the difference for me with the naming
wats up with the taco lingo?
It's called spanish, not taco lingo nor "mexican".... un poco de respeto por favor
Heeey!!! Show some respect!!... "El respeto al derecho ajeno es la paz"... Saludos paisanos e hispanohablantes!!!
@butteredtoast - another quote like that and its sayonara desu ^^
My head's spinning just by looking at it... @_@
can't they make it with a smaller fonts? not that I can read any kanji in there :p
o_o That looks like an old old map of Japan. But there're traffic lights, so it can't be old.
exageration, is just a map with names, if you get a map in any country with names it will be the same, dont get scared by the kanjis
O.O!?
At first I thought it was a page from one of those booklets from the Buddhist temples that tells your fortune...
Well there are a few temples in there!
Um....uh...wut? That's just ridiculously confusing. They at least attempted to section things off with lines but it did not work.
wow that is tight, just out of curiosity how big of an area is that?
Eek. Less art in Nippon maps eh?
I think I'm having a headache just looking at this ^^;
What is this? Edo-jidai???
WHOA!!!! Dizziness came to mind after seeing it for the first time.
There are a number of 卍 in there.
If I had a map like this in Japan I'd probably panic and end up lost in a dark alley somewhere.
What the heck. That's a map? I would assume all the words are important buildings within that block. But that seems to be inefficient as it's really hard to find the right place.
Holy crap lol, I'm getting a headache from just looking at it. xD
Omg! Ha. But I think the locals would be able to browse through and find what they're looking for quite fast.
One word: ouch I wonder if ANYONE can read that
holy moly, this is so confusing....
I cannot for the life of me comprehend that map. Guess I'm getting a GPS.
Must be some kinda art. Cannot be a map...
somehow to me I kindda liked this map. clear and detailed with all shop's name.
Detailed, yes. Clear, no... *LOL*
LOL that's a map of kanji words
Good thing highlighters exist :D
i tried to find mcdonalds. T_T
Exelent!!... Gracias Danny por pensar en nosotros los hispanohablantes T_T... a veces me siento intimidado con tanto ingles XD... Insisto... el Español y el Japones son bastante parecidos... Mata ne!!
WOW, that is one hard-to-ready map alright:P
I already don't know how to read a map in english... if I see that, I could fall into a coma.
Reminds me of my notes from school.
hahaha i wonder what is the exam for taxi driver without GPS like ? ^^
Ho-Li-Crap. Thats all I have to say. @.@
Wow Danny... that's one weird manga. XD
Hey, at least it is a map....with no signs and a crazy section-block-building-house adress buildup, I'll take any help I can get ^^
In Japan you can buy map books that shows every house in the local ward, with the name of the family who live in it. It's quite scary in a way.
huh? thats a map? looks like some feng sui thing..
.......Talk about cramped quarters...... :p
I never really checked up on it, but i was told that the postal delivery people were required to have a masters degree because of the difficulty involved with delivering mail. After trying to find places and seeing a few maps like this one i can see why.
Looks like a massive literature mindraep. Zomgee
my eyes!!! IT BURNS!!!!!!
AWESOME... I can only see in white and black now...
It's not a map it's a my first kanji primer.
>.< I can actuallly make out a few words but, otherwise @.@ It's pretty intimidating... I won't give up though!
As said before, is not that intimidating if you know a minimum of Japanese. In fact, considering the usual maps that the companies give you to find them, this is pretty clear.
That's a map!!!!!!!!! And I thought reading British maps was hard Dx
Looks old. You mean maps like this still exist there?
It'S not too bad if you can read, really.
Just wow...i wouldn't know where to begin :P I'd hate to be a postman in Japan.
1 point for being intricate, then I phone the town council.
Too.many.kanjis. Can't read at all..lol..
seems like building names to me. and i guess the p inside a circle might be private parking space or private road. just wondering the different colors sed for the streets. just oe - two roads are yellow while rest are in orange. one way streets? or emergency lanes?
....yup..........im lost already...........
Hm... it seems one of the "if this makes sense to you, you probably wouldn't actually need it" map variety.
haha *el Japón son fáciles de leer* I don't know spanish but I can read it I menn the same in french XD Le japon son facile de lire* hahah and what a map... don't want to be a taxi over there haha ^^
OMG lol... thats looks epicly hard to find things on...
This wt satnavs were made for ......and women who can read maps but you can just hire them for a fiver ( british talk for five pounds)
aaarrrrgggghhhhh... does not compute!!!
this has to be a secret code...or not
Looks like the new movie poster for The Matrix...
can anyone spot their house one there?
It looks to me like a lot of information is conveyed. I prefer that to maps on which only the main streets are labeled--that doesn't help anyone!!
Would suck to get lost there...
No way that i'm gonna use that map. Too much hassle translating it.
I even suck at regular maps... help =D
wowww i wouldn´t like to be by myself in the middle of Japan with that map hahaha
Maybe need to make a new pair of glasses after reading this map. -_-""
google maps is a lot better than this...
