Uesugi Kenshin

(Figures(59)
Fri 2008/11/28 17:26
Pre-orders are open for this 1/5 scale Uesugi Kenshin by Freeing. Due out next April and retails for 11,800 yen. More pics at GSC.

I'll probably display her casted off with a tissue bra that you saw Fauna in the other day.

Looks like she comes with a lovely dress +armor thing. Kind of reminds me of Saber. Could saber be why she is naked, didn't like someone trying to copy her idea and make it their own ?

I don't display figures cast of because I'm a woman. I buy figures when they have cute hair and face and awesome clothes. I buy my anime figures to display like some women buy Royal Doulton ornaments. Something fun to collect and decorate my environment with.

i have around 5 cast-off figures, but i dont display them naked cause i don't want to loose their dresses anywhere by mistake. also most of them look cute when clothed, like fauna for example. Uesugi Kenshin is very lovely. maybe i should buy her.

Noooooo. :( I've been looking forward to this since I saw a concept - love her pose, expression, everything. Only I failed to note that she's 1/5. Price aside, she'd dwarf my other figures. I was hoping to place her on the side of a 1/8 centerpiece in order to balance the display a bit...*sigh*

Okay, time to rethink just how much I want this figure.

Ah, about cast-off. Don't have a cast-off figure yet so that's a moot point, but even if I had Kenshin I'd keep her clothes on. It's her clothes and armour tha I'm in love with anyway. Love how it spreads around her.

FREEING is fast becoming one of my favourite figure companies. I used to think their 1/4 Haruhi figures were just a gimmick, but the detail on all their stuff is proving to be quality.

Because I have a daughter and her friends often come over, I don't display any of my figure w/ their eyes / etc. exposed.

I don't know that I would, anyway though. I guess it's because I don't buy them because they're nekkid, so they look good fully clothed.
