Are you in the middle of eating? If so then this news item may be of interest. A man was arrested for scattering worms on a train because he got pleasure from seeing other passengers freak out. Video below showing some of the cute worms which look like long rice or noodles that you may be in the middle of eating. As for me - the only insects that I'm ok with are spiders. If I find one in the house I try to catch it and let it go alive out the window. Insects that I'm not ok with are coackroaches and maggotty type ones ^^; Although I hear maggots have lots of protein and taste like peanuts? Via Japan Probe and Sankaku. Image of Kagami consoling Konata who saw some of those worms from Gelbooru.
more kagamin less insects i thinks
I second that desu.
haha. I thought you 2 were the same person for a moment. Do want picture in nice wallpaper form. (I run 1920x1080 in case anyone wants to make one)
Same here... that's a lovely pic, although I'm not really a Kona x Kagamin person:p
WHAT HOw can you not be!!!>< xD Jokes Jokes That's kinda a weird thing to do nearly as weird as that other guy that stole taps cause he liked seeing running water. !!! O_O Maybe they are related!!!!!!!!!! O-M-G!!
Yeah it can be a bit confusing that people use the same avatar. It would be nice if everybody had a unique one. Personally I figured out what to use but I haven't got around to finding the right picture containing what contains what I have in mind.
Is it just me or the neck of Kagami looks a bit odd? O.O
it looks stretched out
yea kagami can turn news like this into....something better
I second
I'm afraid of most insects and spiders, I don't think they are insects by the way :O
Insects have 6 legs. Spiders have 8 legs and belong to another group. I'm not sure what that group is called in English but I do know that it only contains spiders and scorpions.
Arachnids, they are.
aah I miss biology classes and all those classification names~~ XD
Me too... I still remember the names but that didn't help me since I couldn't remember the name in English. Quite naturally I went "oh right. That's it" when I saw the reply XD
aahhh, I'm taking chem and physics =D
My first though is that I would've liked to have seen some sort of video of the women freaking out over the bugs. What is wrong with me ^^
I've heard that the reason that guy had put so many bugs in the train was coz he loves to see women screaming lolol~~ XD
That's what he said alright ;D
Terribly scared of snakes. And maggots, glowy worms.
Ok, i am weird. I am scared of butterflies and coackroaches. I am fine with worms though, i am afraid that i may flatten them. XD
That makes sense. You should stay away from all those killer butterflies. I bet they can have deadly nectar on their trunks that you better avoid. Just kidding. However you took me by surprise because I have never heard of fear of butterflies before. The only dangerous thing that I can think of regarding butterflies is that if you set up a light based butterfly trap during the night then those traps can attract hornets as well. It's no fun to set up a trap and once you return to check it, it's full of like 50 hornets. For the record: those light traps aren't harmful. They are basically a special light on a white blanket. The butterflies then seek out the light and sits on the blanket. Once the light is gone they will fly away again unharmed. You shouldn't harm animals when you look at them ^^
I recall a chinese horror movie about butterflies... :D So I don't blame you for that fear. *nod nod*
They made a horror movie about butterflies???? I can't even imagine how that would work out. Well in the real world butterflies aren't that dangerous. Some of them look kind of unpleasant, but it's not like they will attack you on purpose. The most dangerous thing I can imagine is getting hit in the head by a big one while it's moving at top speed (which can be 50-60 km/h) or if you ride a fast bike without a helmet. But then again hitting a hornet would likely be worse.... wear a helmet :)
a horror movie from butterflies ?? what is the name for it ? :)
I hate cockroaches!!! can't even kill them... I can live with spiders as long as they're not huge and/or hairy...
Killed my first roach when I was 5 in kindergarten... so oozy. We had many of them in Jakarta, so step or be stepped. Or something like that XD
i only really dislike cockroaches, large spiders and centipedes. or rather, the dangerous/venomous ones. hairy worms are icky and i get the impression that they're poisonous so i tend to avoid them too.
the worms are not generally poisonous if you don't eat them :P
Whoa Kagami hugging Konata without doubts. Rare Anyways, I'm afraid with cockroaches too because I had a little trauma in that insects. It gave me a week ill and weird eye formation, which make me see just a little. Like a newly awakened tired eyes.
don't like insects :P esp those with wings and hops ^^;
Cockroaches scare the hell out of me :( One time, I was washing the dishes and felt something scurry across my foot. I wasn't worried as much, so I kept washing the dishes until I felt something stay on my foot. It was a giant cockroach T_____T Luckily, no dishes were harmed, but I screamed and flailed trying to get the cockroach away from me. I've also dealt with maggots once when taking out the trash when I was little. It was late at night and I saw little white things crawling around the trash bin, only to find out they were maggots later. I was mortified and didn't take out the trash for a good couple of months. T_T I do like ladybugs, though! They're adorable. I let them crawl on me if they land on me.
Ladybugs smell though >_<
I remember one year years ago. For some reason they exploded in numbers and were everywhere (almost like you can see sometimes with grasshoppers). They didn't have enough food for that many so they became really hungry and desperate. I then learned that ladybugs can bite >.< Seriously, they tried everything for food, including humans. I only tried this once though and it may never happen again.
Ack! They bite?! D: Note to self: don't be around a swarm of ladybugs when they're hungry :( I rarely see them around so I just let them crawl around if I do encounter them.
I only encountered biting ones this once. I guess they were desperate. Odds are that it will happen once in a lifetime. You shouldn't be scared of them biting.... it will not happen if you can see less than 10.000 at once (everywhere outside)
I let spiders go too :P They take out other bugs so they're good. I'm less afraid of bugs and more afraid of stepping/smashing them on the carpet. Yuck.
cockroaches do not want! ^^ although if someone threw those worms in the bus, I'd pick them up and feed them to my aruanas fish. ^^ btw Danny, I think you misspelled Cockroaches. ^^;
idk, i am somewat scared on spiders but worms are alright.
I hate flying cockroache, it could even fly into my 29 floors condo~~~~~~~~~~
Guiness world record if you made it back. XD
I know exactly of your feeling man.
We should have some mini GN missles against them... Urgghhh.
Or we could just call for Hoi-Hoi San to do the job ^_^
Good thing you didn't jump out. I might have, if I was still a lil kid...><
LOL! if I have no way to run & it force me to corner ^^;
I get a bit freaked out by insects.
I don't really like spiders...yea mostly spiders because some how I got it in my mind that all spiders are poisonous...
I'm fine with worms as long as they don't have any legs. Centipedes freak the hell out of me. Pretty much anything with more than 6 legs is nightmare fuel for me.
"All right! You kill anynthing that have more two legs!" Now, where I heard this line before...? Ah, Star Ship Trooper.
What about a guy who's got a big dolphin that it looks like a third leg? XD
"Rico! Blast 'em with your mini nuke!" Hahaha...
LOL! Starship Troopers.. Classic.
you kill the tables & chairs too ^^;
No no, just the ones with more than 6 legs. I mean tables & chairs with 8 legs are just freaky!
Tables and chairs with 8 legs?? show picture or lie.
I hate it to (except for Spiderman XD) Tiny spider bite me, it more pain than a bee sting.
Bees/wasps are scary because sometimes you can never get away from them n they hurt
I hate roaches!
I'm poor with most kinds of arthropods. It's fine if I accidentally eat one or intentionally eat one (crab, shrimp, etc), but feeling their barbed limbs skittering across my skin is quite unpleasant. Catching a bug in your hand and having it claw around or bite or buzz helter skelter makes it easier for me to use a kill reflex than let it go somewhere outside.
I hate bees I get annoyed at flies and mosquitos > but isn't that natural? I think I used those in fishing...
I hate all bugs. I kill them, especially spiders. I don't like roaches but where I live there are no roaches ever. Forest-y areas ftw =p 'cept tons of spiders. Little bastards.
Not particular scared of insects but if it's a bee/wasp/flying cockroach/dragonfly - yes. Maggots are just gross!
I'm more afraid of big insects and the kinds that are in swarms. Examples are huge spiders and a swarm of bees. Even the pictures freak me out. DX
i extremely dislike spider because of a traumatic event I had as a young child.
I'm ok with most of them... except for those that stings. Occasionally would get surprised by insects though ^^
Kagamin and Konata! Nice pic! xD Insects.. I'm okay with spiders, but not maggots.. Ughh. Thinking bout it sickens me. Roaches are okay, provided that they're not huge..AND DOES NOT FLY! DX I watched a drama some time ago where a pair of newly-wed are both afraid of cockroaches. So one was in charge of locating and providing coordinates, the other sucking it into a vacuum cleaner....
>Although I hear maggots have lots of protein and taste like peanuts? Have also heard that, but I am not willing to try it out myself:P
Not afraid of insects but there are some I dislike and some I hate. Usually the ones I hate are the ones that either like my blood or has enough venom to hurt me. Everything else is ok although I dislike them in my house and will make an effort to move them outside. Like just now I saw a giant moth (not sure what kind), its a little bit smaller then a walnut. Don't know where it went but it was flying into the walls, most likely confused by my desk lamp as they are guided by lesser lights like the moon.
I used to have pretty bad arachnophobia ^^; But, I've somehow managed to control it to the point of being able to walk near spiders and such. Cockroches freak me out, they've fallen on me before and those icky legs give me the shivers X_x Works, lizards, frogs, snakes, flies.. they're all okay to me. Beetles, wasps, bees, bumblebees, centipedes... not okay.
Mole crickets are nice and crunchy, especially the heads.
Oh, favorite bugs would be spiders, butterflies, beetles, and mantids. I had a few mantids as pets and fed them caterpillars and roaches (especially roaches. Rather enjoyed seeing them being eaten rear end first).
Food cycle indeed. o.o XD
Not afraid of insects at all. I used to do something similar to this guy when I was in elementry school. All during recess I collected LOTS of hairy catterpillars (had over 100 it looked like). Then when I got home, I let them all loose. They climbed all over the walls, across the street, and along the sidewalk freaking everyone out. Good times. ^_^
I will admit some bugs freak me out...
I'm ok with spiders and most of the bugs, if they aren't too big. But I hate worms, they are disgusting.
A real man tells the truth, me i am afraid of spiders and think their many eyeballs on their face disgusts me. definitely disgusted at maggots and caterpillars and any other a like. Ants are okay though lol! just hate it when they get into the house.
Flying cockroaches somehow scares me, the kind that suddenly flies out of nowhere.. I'm ok with any insects, because we used to catch them on my childhood days. We even had some mantis fighting each other same with spiders, etc..
it's funny how we're scared of small things. im scared of cockroaches, crickets, especially ones that move too fast T_T
Hrmm. Hard to say really. I'm not a fan of touching them. I kind of have a mild case of germaphobe. But I can say I definitely hate spiders. I think it stems from the many spider bites I have gotten. I also hate mosquitos for the same reason. However I don't much fear them. Well, I am scared of the poisonous types, for obvious reasons.
Kagamin~~~
The only bugs that I'm okay with are... say, butterflies? I freak out at the sight of other bugs, especially worms and slugs.
dont particular afraid of any inserts just hate the tingly feel when they crawl on you. poisonous one are a no-no and yes, maggots are crunchy. they sell them fried in thailand
i am not afraid of inserts. but i like them all!
When I see a spider, I mistake it for the devil.
Um, would anyone here think I was bat poop crazy if I said I had a scorpion as a pet? I'm really good with bugs, but spiders are the only invertebrate i'll actively avoid.
Bugs here don't bother me, but some of those huge bugs in tropical places... they creep the hell of me.
I think that can pretty much be the reason why there is such a difference in how scared people here are of bugs. We aren't talking about the same bugs ^^ I'm not scared of the local spiders, partly because I know none of them are dangerous. I guess I am scared of tropical spiders since for all I know they can kill with a single bite. They also look a whole lot more scary.
what kind of bugs?
I don't have much of a problem with bugs. I crushed a few with my bare hands O_o
I could do the same thing except then I need to go wash my hands so I avoid it so I can avoid washing my hands. I do wash my hands whenever needed (would be gross otherwise), I just don't like doing something that makes it needed for little or no reason.
I'm not scared of bugs. They can be annoying at time though (like when they decide to fly around between your head and your monitor). I'm scared of the dark though. However it's not the darkness itself, but the possibility that somebody will show up with a knife or a gun and demand all my money. Alternatively I fear being run over in the dark. Sadly both scenarios are realistic here :( I'm not scared of darkness in "safe" locations, like the basement.
i once saw a cicada the size of a ketchup bottle in malaysia O_O we all thought it was a bird flapping frantically at first, until it dropped on my dad's dinner in an outdoor restaurant. wonder if Japan has cicadas that big, coz from all the anime, i gather that there are lots of em during summer?
wow I'd like to see one of those around my area, the largest cicada i saw was about 10 cm in length. And I've only one in my whole life.
Seriously?! I thought I was just seeing things! When I was young me and my brother were at the park playing. I saw something HUGE at the back of my bro. Before I could tell him the damn thing flew away. I thought I was just seeing things. Thanks for confirming what I saw O_o
that's just gross! but that's one interesting fetish
lol thats just odd
Roaches are ok. Flying roaches, however, scare the stuffing out of me. Like seriously, cockroaches can survive nuclear radiation and fly, it'd be little wonder if they take over the world some day.
I am not afraid of worms because i use it some decomposition of my plants. Cute wallpapers makes me happy.
Glad I didn't eat while watching the vid.
I'm not afraid of any insects, but very wary of poisonous spiders such as we have here in Australia. I just love beetles, stick insects and praying mantis.
i hate things with stingers.my mom likes growing flowers in the front yard so it attracts a lot of bees during the summer so it gets annoying.sometimes there are a few bees there that im scared to go out through the front door and i end up leaving through the side door
I can take ants and small bugs just fine. But roacher and anything with long antennas and long thin legs freak me out. But worms are just as bad too, because their movemtns without any legs or anything scare me.
The only thing which grosses me out is worms, and anything which makes like worms lol... They don't scare me, it's just their movements ... Strange thing is that, I remember a few years back I would be catching them with my bare hands... Not really afraid of any other insects around my area... I was nicknamed bugcatcher in primary school lol.. Cuz I would spend my lunch breaks out and about catching stuff for class. I had so many reference books on insects that I was even teaching the teacher all the wireds insects I found. A lot of insects I find nowadays are fed to my fishes or frogs muhahaha.
Replace, "makes" with "moves" on the first line -_-
I can tolerate with roaches (if they not roaming around during breakfast, lunch and dinner ^^) because i just slap it with a Mosquito racket or my slipper. But no worms, anything which are moisted, soft without fur, and walk by crawling or sliding is a big NO NO ^_^
I saw this on sankaku last night. Totally gross, what a perv. I'm glad the police caught the old creep.
Some of my class partners...releases spiders in the classroom, the thing goes crazy, but someones -like danny I think =P- enjoy it. About me, Only not OK with cocroaches & spiders. If a man releases nendoroids in the train, 'cause he likes the people freaking out and screaming when they find them. Will get arrested? o,o
Wow... very annoying if you're the victim I guess... I'm fine with insects, as long as I don't touch them ;) Btw, those are serious cops... In here they don't care about stupid pranks :(
Spiders... I don't like spiders at all.
The image in the newspost again reaffirms my belief that Konata and Kagami really match each other well. It somehow feels right. As for insects, I really do not mind them. Have always been the one to remove insects from the house (alive) whenever my mom started screaming ever since I was like six years old. Mind, I dislike stuff that sucks blood or leaves itchy bites, but I don't think I'm afraid of any. Of course, there is a healthy respect for the ones that -are- dangerous. I like spiders, and tend to keep them around, because they like to keep the abovementioned annoying bloodsuckers away. Even though spider-webs tend to look not very nice.
I'm okay with bugs and worms, but doing that in the train is just awkward.
I'm not fond of insects and arachnids. I either hoover their remains or bug spray them and then come back later to collect the corps. I do release out insects and flies, just when I'm in the mood to. I saw those lil' lizard like things crawling on walls in HK. I accidently trapped it under a shoe and er... its tail came off! ;_; Ifeel bad, hope its tail grew back XD
dont worry, their tails grow back.
i think when i was a child i am really afraid of insects, but now i am kinda fine with them. it should nomally be the oppostie though
I'm "OK" with any type of bug... What I hate the most are ants, lots of it(or any large number of insects)... When I see lots of ants, I always imagine them in my shirt and on my skin... Urgh!
I hate all insects, other than butterfly perharps. T_T scared of them too. That worm-man is freak =_= cant believe this ppl exist (trying to scare the shit out of other ppl)
I'm ok with insects. In fact I'm the official cockroach slayer at home... LOL. Lizards, on the other hand.....
I like insects, really. Even those that are disgusting. Only insects or animals i dislike are those who are plague, like "araña de rincon(1)" and grasshopers. (1) Don't know universal name of that spiders, but is one of the most poisonous spider around the world.
I'm ok with overall insects, only big insects may be scary a bit(most if it's "poison" insect").
Hmm.. love that pic. About the case.. yeah, bizarre. Heard about it yesterday. About insects... no problem with spiders and coackroaches (though I am very careful with spiders...), but maggotty types is another story. I think I have some sort of trauma/fobia... it's pretty bad. Only seeing them makes me feel bad.
Roaches because it's smelly and it's messy if it's crushed. xP And long legged small bodied spiders too, those long legs really creep the hell out of me.
I'm scared of all insects, especially spiders and cockroaches. And my house happens to have lots of them...0_0
I'm not afraid of insects but interested by them. I'll just let them go if I catch them. Moreover, what a weirdo to do such shameless thing on the train station.
Sorta got used to them if they keep coming around at night, but I hate cockroaches and flies with a buring passion hotter than Domon Kasshu. :P
Before when I was a kid I was, but now I kinda gotten use to it.
Hakuna Matata - It tastes like chicken
lol so classic...nice job you still remember lion king ^^
I'm ok with bugs/worms/spiders... as long as they're not crawling on me... crawling on me while I'm sleeping... (A beetle got into my room last summer and I woke up with it on my face pinching me=___=)~ OR... in my mouth... A fly flew in my mouth last month and I almost choked to death on it O.o It tasted pretty funky too...
Let's just hope a mukade is not the one crawling around, I hate those!
I dislike dead bugs almost more than living ones. Something about squished worms on sidewalks after rains back in my hometown, and fly and bee corpses in windows during the summer... not to mention splattered messes from flies... :x Roaches I despise as I've dealt with them more than I like. I've even grown to hate ants because around here the ants stink... Spiders I like their role but I'm a bit paranoid since I watched Arachnophobia when I was a kid... lame I know. Only spider I really don't mind are daddy longlegs.
i hate flying cockroaches, red ants, and bees/ wasps (those are huge). i can deal with other bugs, spiders or worms. also dont like lizards. those look like mini monitor lizards here.
I don't have any problems with bugs, insect nor lizard. I just hate when I accidentally step on them, yuck. oh, there is one insect I hate most, mosquitoes. Especially in rainy season like this >.<
in fact those worms are edible, you can see them alway in those shows where people have to eat gross stuff, like fear factor or some japanese shows
I'm not really afraid of insects, unless they are really freaking huge ^^i I normally try to save them and put them outside before a family member tries to kill them -__-
They ain't worms...(not earthworms at any rate) they're more like maggots... they're worms in the sense of wormmon in Digimon lol.
Depends on what kind of insects. I don't like cockroaches because when you step on them they really crunch and splatter. At least the ones here don't fly like in some places in Asia. Grasshoppers, spiders, and those kinds of things I don't really care about. But if there's a whole crap load of worms, albeit harmless ones, I would be really freaked out.
Not really afraid. Usually I get either surprised or grossed out.
Rule #1 of blogging, know your readers. Post Konami pictures, all's right with the world. Uhm in the country with the lowest rape incidence, mischief makers are the criminals.
To my shame I must admit I'm terrified of spiders, I cower in fear at even the smalest of them. T_T
Personally not okay with insects that dwell in fetid places like the sewers. If its out in the country, though, don't really mind.
I'm fine with all bugs. But I hate cockroach the most and it's probably the most disgusting insect I've ever seen in my entire life.
I got to agree with you in there. I specially hate the flying variety.
The only things I'm afraid of are black floor tiles and oatmeal. Yep, those are the worst things ever for me. >.< I'm also aware that they positively don't make sense too... -_-
should have used that back in the philippines!!
That is gross and funny. wish i had tougth of that when i was riding the train on the first and only time i did
EWWWWWWW freak!
I don't really have a problem with insects. Not scared of 'em anyway. Just squish 'em if they give ya trouble! Some are just annoying however. Flies and mosquitoes are on the top of my list, as well as any giant kind variety (stupid radscorpions!).
i only get scared by spiders, cockroaches and some type of worms
I don't know what it is about them but, bugs and spiders have always scared me a little. Things like flies I'm not scared of, just annoyed with. Worms I've never really been scared of because they really can't do anything. Just wiggle around slowly.
Not scared of insectsbugsarachnids. Just dont like them. Squish them, every chance i get. The little bastrds ^_^
I don't really mind insects. I usually let them go if possible. The only ones that give me the creeps are of the poisonous variety, and I'm sure you all know why. ^^;
This man is crazy! Why would he want to put fear into peoples eyes. *tear* I am loving the Konata&Kagami picture. funny. they look so serious. Wonder what happened. :/
I really can't stand creepy crawlies, cockroaches, etc. The thought of them crawling all over me just send chills down my spine. For reference, take a look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5g1MJstjV0o
I heard that he did it specifically to girls. Wonder if there were any worms-up-skirt incidents. X.x
Here's a crazy insect video. Pretty well done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKEDSYo_HMg
You find a lot of creepy people in the world. I first read about it here: http://theblackship.com/news/japan-news/japan_crime/man-arrested-for-scattering-worms-inside-train-in-osaka.html in this short article, but there were no pics or video. Thought that they were fishing worms, but these look more like larvae. Yuk!
Here's one shocker. Bear eats larvae http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuB3kr3ckYE Watch this after lunch =D
I'm afraid of insects that are big, cause I can see them more in detail. For example, previous summer a huge moth flyed into my house and my mom asked me to get rid of it (cause she's afraid of bugs too XD). I had a really hard time catching it into a jar, despite the fact that she was sitting on the window, moveless.
that s just straight funny
that s just straight funny
that s just straight funny
ohh my bad guys clicked sumit tomany times
I'd like to get insects out of my house but I kill them most of the time =___=
PORCO!
